Must have driven by here hundreds of times over my life & just swung by on a whim... delicious Beyond burger, beautiful ambiance, awesome staff! The server was soooo wonderful - truly great service! I spent a few hours here just enjoying the outdoors not feeling rushed and thinking of memories of my childhood on the River. Love this spot!💕

We came here twice over the course of our stay in nearby Guerneville. We had just driven in from Mendocino up the coast and were looking for a dog friendly easygoing place to eat. The restaurant itself sits on a fairly large property with plenty of parking, indoor/shaded outdoor more intimate seating as well as community style tables and an outdoor bar around the side. Both times we visited around 4pm or so and it was busy but not overflowing. One thing we both really appreciated was the staff here particularly their friendliness and how often they checked in on us. We never felt harassed nor ignored. The food selection is classic pub fare with a few unique offerings like Jalapeño Poppers which we both loved along with Seasoned Waffle Fries! I particularly enjoyed their Pulled Pork Sandwich with Jalapeños. They also offer nicely portioned roasted chicken or beef bites for dogs, which was a real treat. For drinks they offer beer/cider along with a full service bar as well as non-alcoholic options like ice tea and sodas. Try their Mandarin Orange Lemon Drop if still available or their Skinny Mule! Overall our experience here was quite nice on both occasions with one of the staff even remembering our dogs on the second visit. The food/drinks were reasonably priced, the staff were friendly, the restaurant was easily accessible and spacious and they cater quite nicely to dogs with water bowls and food offerings. Not much more we could have asked for!

maybe i'm ill informed as the pub is the only dining i have experienced along the russian river, but the experience here is only mediocre—at least compared to other reviews. the food itself was all good, but the portions served were not at all deserving of the price. seven "jumbo" shrimps that were actually only average sized and as if previously frozen for $14 was actually preposterous. 16 ounces of clam chowder that was in fact all chowder and not clam for $10 was disappointing. $13 crab cakes "with tartar sauce" did not come with tarter sauce and was no more than 10 ounces was absolutely unreasonable. burgers were ordered and regret was felt when bites revealed grey, distasteful patties. frankly, i would have been more satisfied with frozen food and a microwave, but what can i do when i'm hungry in an isolated part of civilization. they offer draft beer though the servers were kind, though. it was easy to ask for utensils and condiments. there were proper clean up jobs here and there and constant bustling to keep trash from building up on our table. i also saw an adjacent table get water for their dogs. there is an automatic charge for big parties (we had 6 people) the ambiance was pretty nice too. if you have kids, there's a huge lawn, a sandbox, and cornholl for entertainment. there is both indoors and outdoors seating, both dressed to give that classic cozy hub vibe and obviously situated near the russian river in a dense thicket of foliage. the parking is just gravel path. overall? not *awful*, but overrated and not worth a whole meal or experience. maybe they're the best in the area, but that's not to say you should settle if you want a good food oriented experience.

I was in the area for work today and stopped by with my kids who were with me on their summer vacation. The service at the Russian River Pub was friendly and the space was beautiful. We sat outside and really enjoyed the picnic atmosphere. The sun was nearly setting and it was a very nice day. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food (Prime Rib Sandwich !!!) and we were especially surprised by how nice the napkins were. It's a small detail to choose a quality napkin when you're making your selections for your business, but it tells a lot about what they take seriously. Service, friendliness, good food and cleanliness. 'They say' cleanliness is second to godliness. All that being said, what a wonderful experience to enjoy with our friends at the Russian River Pub. No doubt, we will be back.

The Russian River Pub is a nice place to dine. The food was very good. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is very homey.

Russian River Pub is the perfect no-frills pit stop. Everything on the menu, a smattering of quality bar food, is exactly what you want it to be. They make a good-sized burger at a reasonable price, not something you’re likely to find often in Sonoma County, and all the other offerings, from their popular wings, to their crispy waffle fries and rotating specials, come in decent portions at reasonable prices. The outdoor patio and beer garden is one of the best spots to be on a beautiful SoCo day. You can grab a beer from their extensive menu, and the river is close by, even if not right in view. All this before mentioning that their staff is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. It feels like a communal place when it’s all filled up, but the vibes are always right. Don’t miss stopping by the pub for some beer and grub.

This is a gem on river road with outdoor seating, great service and wonderful food. I had the buffalo and blue sandwich with onion rings and macaroni salad. The sandwich was served on a brioche bun which was delightful on is own. The onion rings were crispy outside and soft inside, I only ordered a half order and couldn't finish it, so be aware. The macaroni salad was a special that day. It was different than what I'm used to, however, delicious. The flavor really complimented the sandwich and I'm glad I tried it. I've been here before and had their dessert which is naive and unbelievably good. Didn't have room this time but look forward to sharing it with family next time we are in the area.

Sat at the bar to get a quick bite to eat after an afternoon of wine tasting. We did build your own burgers with a beef burger and beyond burger. Both burgers came out delicious. Bartenders and staff were very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend!

I had FIsh and Chips. Really good. Fish cooked to perfection, chips crispy, and the slaw was fresh and delicious. I had a "Lonely Goat," which I believe is a dark lager. I don't usually drink lagers -- the taste was great. The trees are turning right now (November) and there is a view of the river. This was my first visit and it won't be my last.

I have been daydreaming about the Famous Chicken Wings at Russian River Pub, and I'm sad that I don't live close enough to have them more often. We shared a single order of wings with Original Spicy Buffalo sauce, served with a generous amount of ranch dressing. They were perfectly cooked; the meat was juicy and the sauce had the right amount of flavor and spice without being overpowering. I also got the Prime Rib Steak Sandwich (4.5/5) which was good and huge! I ended up taking half of it home. My fiancé Pulled Pork Sandwich (5/5) which was very flavorful and delicious. I wanted a warm drink since we were having dinner outside, and the hot apple cider (5/5) was so satisfying. We love that this place was dog friendly! We brought our 2 year old terrier, and our server was very friendly to him and brought him a bowl of water.

No way will we be coming back. Overpriced very mediocre to terrible food. Came here because it was on our way and noticed it was liked by a food network host. Crab cakes SUCKED! They probably came out of a packaged frozen pack from a cheap supplier/supermarket. Honestly, I think you would find better crab cakes in the frozen aisle of the supermarket. The crab cake was probably 1/8" thick and couldn't tell there's any crab, the crust was so thick.

I came here while camping at River Glen, and it is fantastic. There's a great selection of delicious beers on tap, served in frosty mugs and pint glasses. The food is delicious. I got the French dip, and it was very tasty. But what was exceptional was the onion rings. My wife also got an impossible burger and it was prepared very well.

Great place during good weather. Limited seating inside, but great outside. The staff is very nice, laid back atmosphere. Has a full bar and great local beer on tap. The owner Whendy is very nice. The hamburger and French dip are really good. The French fries and onion rings are excellent.

The outdoor area is perfect for enjoying a beer with your fur baby. When we arrived, staff immediately gave my dog some water which is a big plus for me! The Prime Rib French Dip and onion rings were also delicious.

A hidden wonderful find. Me and my boy went out to Shone Farms to pick up Christmas gift and made a day of it. Russian River Pub was our pick for food. Let me tell you something the place was amazing excellent menu with lots of good things to chose from. I got the French dip which was out of this world. Amazing bread and au ju was excellent sometimes that part can be a bit of salted. The kid, ok, adult had the Buffalo Blue sandwich he said it was really good. It wasn't breaded and fried but grilled he enjoyed it a lot. I got the half order of French fries while he got the waffle fries. The service is very friendly and the hostess is really nice and kinda. The ambiance was nice we got there before the rush. Mind you we went on a Monday. But we were happy to have picked this spot. We would return again and bring more people with us. Sorry no food or pub photos. Thank you to everyone at RRP for making a day with the kid fun and well fed. Ok people please take a drive out to Foresteville and enjoy this hidden in plain site gem!

Come to the Pub if you can!! Amazing service from Cindy and the French Dip was the best I've ever had... and I'm old!! Served on a soft brioche bun with mouth watering prime rib! 10 out of 10!!

My husband and I stopped by for lunch. Food was amazing. We both had the French dip sandwich with waffle fries. Beer on tap was fresh and cold. Wendy , the owner, was so friendly and inviting! We will definitely be back. Dogs are also welcome. We will bring our Lily girl when the weather is nice.

After a few hours of tubing down the Russian River, my girlfriend, a few friends, and I decided to stop by here for a late lunch as it was close by and had been featured previously on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. We arrived around 2:30 PM. There was plenty of parking and both indoor and outdoor seating available. We opted for indoor seating as it was a scorcher today in Forestville. Once we were seated, our orders were promptly taken. My girlfriend and I shared an order of Mozzarella Styx and Waffle Fries. For our entrees, I got the French dip, and my girlfriend got a build-your-own burger. While I didn't have any alcoholic drinks with my meal, the beer menu looked very solid, and I definitely would have had one if I hadn't been dehydrated from tubing in the sun earlier. The food took about 20 minutes to come out, which was perfectly reasonable. We overheard one of the staff members mention that the kitchen is on the smaller side, so food may take some time. The waffle fries were solid - they had a crispy exterior and were seasoned relatively well. The Mozzarella Styx felt more like prepackaged/frozen ones, but I wasn't complaining (I was hungry). My favorite item from the meal was my entree - the French dip sandwich. The meat was shaved super thin, tender, and seasoned really well. The jus on the side was also perfect. The only thing I wish I knew is that you can modify sandwiches - I would have added some cheese (provolone or mozzarella) and some hot peppers. My girlfriend's burger also looked really good. It was loaded with toppings and made exactly to her liking. To wrap up, this is a great place to wind down and grab a bite after a day of drifting down the river and I'd definitely stop by here again (and grab a beer next time too).

Was very busy, so it was a bit of a wait, but we had great accommodating service. Food was very tasty, everyone was happy. We ate inside as it was a hot day and the temp was perfect. Not too loud. One of our favorite places to eat in the Guerneville area. Friendly customer service, lots of great beer and cocktail choices, and the food is excellent and reasonably priced. Bonus is that it's dog friendly, and the have small dog burgers on the menu and bring your pup a water dish. Don't miss it!

This place is great for outdoor drinking and eating so delish food! Service was great and quick but not pushy at all. Id love if they had some music outside, something low to enjoy while having some drinks but regardless this place is great! Bring cash if possible, they obviously add a fee if a card is used since they get charged a fee as well.

I am just going to give this place a five star rating, from start to finish my wife and I very much enjoyed our time. This is my first time here, which is crazy seeing how close we are. We came here for lunch and the place was hopping, we were able to get a quick seat, but were advised there would be a 30 minute wait for the kitchen, which was fine by us as we ordered a couple beers. I believe I got a seismic and my wife a lager, both were delicious, we chose outdoor, so review is confined to that searing, ambiance outdoors was perfect, they also have picnic grounds that allow for corn hole and horseshoes. Now the food, we ordered a chicken (grilled) chicken sandwich, a hamburger and some fries. We like ranch so had that added as well, for a little up charge. My chicken burger was superb and was served on a brioche bun, the fries were great along with the home made ranch. They do tack on an extra 3.5% I believe it was for using a credit card, but they do offer an atm on the premises. I didn't get a chance to check out the inside of the place, or the restrooms, but the outdoors was great... also pet friendly. Will definitely return.

What a lovely down-to-earth, causal and friendly place! Great comfort food. I had a burger and my wife had pulled pork. We shared an order of onion rings. The food was perfect and the service (Laura) was warm and friendly! We'll be back.

This place is great! Awesome service from the second we walked in until we left. Servers are attentive and friendly and food was great. I definitely give them 5 stars!!

We chose this place because we could bring the dog with us, and the menu looked great (food was amazing) we each ordered hamburgers and shared Waffle Fries, again amazing. The service was excellent, they even brought my dog a big bowl of fresh water. We sat on the outside picnic table area, several picnic tables and lots of umbrellas to keep it comfortable. There is also a lawn area to go hang out and my dog is allowed on the lawn area big beautiful wonderfully shady tree. The service people were all super friendly, prices were great, if this place was closer to where we live we would make this a regular place. Highly recommend.

After a day tubing on Russian river we stopped at Russian river pub for an early dinner I got clam chowder cup and 2 crab cakes $6 each..also a root beer float..other ppl got wings and beer waffle fries etc Nice atmosphere at the river

Wonderful little laid-back pub along the Russian river, local vibe, and dog friendly. they have indoor and outdoor seating with a nice patio and a grassy area for cornhole.

Nice mostly shaded area outside. Decent drink list. Staff was friendly. Food was good but a little overpriced (no fries with the burgers even though it's already $20?!).

This is a pretty awesome place to kick back and relax when you are in this out-of-the-way area! We stopped by around 1 PM after tasting at Korbel a minute up the road. It was busy, but there were still plenty of tables and space. We had to wait 45 minutes for our food, but we were warned about that in advance so we could make an informed choice (appreciate that!). While we waited, we enjoyed the mild weather outside, some games of horseshoes and corn hole. Lots of space and shade, tons of dogs, and friendly service. I enjoyed my burger, kid enjoyed her chicken tenders, and they had some good local taps. Pub food for sure--nothing fancy--but tasty and filling. I would definitely come here again.

Stopped here after a long day in Bodega Bay...what a great find! Food: Tasty, hot, fresh! French dip for me. Pulled pork sandwich for my hubby! Delicious! Service: Excellent! Friendly and welcoming from start to finish. Our server (Taylor)... knowledgeable, personable and always smiling. It's the little details that matter! Ambiance: Relaxing and inviting! We sat on the outside patio. Clean, comfortable, with all staff working together to make sure all guests were well taken care of! Great food, great service and excellent experience! Thank you to the entire staff! Although we live 2 hours away...we will definitely be back!

I've been coming here for 37 years. The wings are amazing and the drinks are stiff. The owner Wendy is great. My family loves it. All of the food is high quality and delicious.

Slow service on a holiday weekend, but good food and drinks nonetheless. All of their menu prices are cash. They add 3.75 percent to charges on your card. Super slow service on the day we went, but they may have been understaffed? Who knows. My spicy smoked chicken sandwich was great! Good flavor and just a bit of heat. Everyone left happy. I'd return when in the area.

As a fellow chicken wing lover - this place was amazing!! My favorite was the buffalo sauced wings ~ they were cooked perfectly crisp with the perfect ratio of sauce. I loved the outdoor dinning areas :)

Enjoyed an early dinner the other day here and sat outside. It's a nice outdoor spot with bocci ball amd just to relaxed with a drink. They have a full bar and a pretty big menu. Portions were large, prices were good and overall we were all satisfied. Chicken wings were the favorite at our table, as well as a house salad, waffle fries and super yummy ranch dressing. Least favorite was the crab cake Looking forward to our next visit.

Simply delicious. This place is home to what some call the "best wings" in Sonoma County... so as a wing connoisseur, I had to weigh in. Pretty delicious, I'll say. They come crispy with sauces on the side. Meaty and fresh, the wings were top notch. I finished off with a pesto bacon pepperjack burger on a brioche bun. Phenomenal after 18 holes of golf at Northwood. Our service was also great, with many televisions to watch college football as we ate. Great local spot out on the river!!

Come for the wings and stay for the relaxed vibes. I always bring my dog to the Russian River and this place is so dog friendly and has some yard games so you can stay a while! Service is beyond friendly, just a great relaxed environment! I only took pics of the brownie sundae which wow that was a great decision.

We stopped by this establishment by chance for lunch about 3:00. There was inside dining as well as outside tables over looking the river. We opted to choose a table inside. It had a full bar and clean table and chairs. We were greeted by a welcoming server and were seated and given our drinks (water) right away. My husband chose a simple cheeseburger and fries. I chose a shredded bbq pork sandwich topped with a spicy slaw. The food was good but very typical. If we ever come back this way again we would definitely eat here. Thank you for the experience!!

Visited this place with some friends from out of town and had a good time. They had outdoor seating that was dog friendly which is great! Food was good and they had a large menu to select from. Service was good but we had about 4 different waiters visit our table to take orders, check up on us, etc. overall good visit!

This place rocks!! Drew is a saint!! And Debbie is the immaculate heart of Jesus. Drinks are bomb. Staff is more friendly than the "other" place a few minutes down the road that rhymes with "dumpstown crewery" come to Russian River...they treat you just right.

Love this place on a sunny day, it's still pretty good if it's raining. I had the Stoked by Henhouse to drink and the crabcake sandwich. I liked the sandwich but it was a bit oily. Whoever makes their bread is pretty amazing. Servers were very attentive and the patio is awesome

The whole family cleaned our plates here twice during our camping trip at Riverbend next door. We liked the kids grilled cheese, burgers, wings, fries, onion rings, crab cake sandwich, brownie sundae, and of course the doggie burger was a hit with the pooch. The special lentil curry soup was an unexpected treat! The service is just as friendly, casual, and welcoming as you would hope for in a spot like this. The outdoor seating and the grassy hang-out space make this a destination for sure when we are in the area.

VERY dog friendlly - lots of pups, they bring water, have a lovely grassy area fo pups to explore and even special items on the menu for our pups - love this about them. Service was so-so but we really didn't care. 2 peeps had burgers and I had a patty melt and we shared some very yummy fries. Excellent offering of local fun beers. Worth a visit for sure.

This review was removed stating incorrect location. I am reviewing Russian River Pub in Guernville: First, the staff are awesome, attentive, & friendly! I won't have a bad word said about them! The food was underwhelming. I had the 10 wings for $19 and a Diet Coke for $3.50. They advertised the wings as seen on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. The wings were small, overcooked, & sad. Just straight Frank's Hot Sauce, too. There's no excuse these days to serve anemic wings like that. And definitely not for $19. I was going to order a burger but had enough disappointment. I paid my $32 and rode on. Your staff deserves better.

Disappointing what COVID has done to this place. This is an $18 garden salad. WTF I used to come for their chicken tenders, which still are amazing, but they give you two tenders instead of three now, and raised their prices. Booooooo

We had a party of 22 going down the Russian River, so I called Wendy to arrange for a large party. She put together several appetizing prix fixe choices and we opted for the BBQ buffet (ribs, chicken, slaw, baked beans, corn bread). When we arrived, we were treated like royalty. Pitchers of Pliny were ordered and showed up immediately. The food was cooked to perfection and was absolutely mouth-watering. Throughout the meal, Wendy and Heidi were very attentive. I give Wendy and the Russian River Pub the highest recommendation possible. We love this place and especially the people!

I came to this place because the location was right next to a campground that I stayed at Riverbend and I saw it on diners drive-ins and dives so I had to try it. I ended up getting the prime rib with the Fixins or the special prime rib sandwich, and I have to say that this was very mediocre to me, I went back the next day and ordered wings and I must say that these are the best wings that I've ever had. I mixed the barbecue sauce with the buffalo sauce and it was excellent. The wings were well cooked and prepared excellently. I would go back just for the wings, I would tread very lightly on ordering anything else at this point

Really enjoyed the atmosphere outside on the patio, and my daughter and husband played horseshoes while we waited for our food. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was pretty good. My son didn't care for the chicken on his Caesar salad and said it didn't seem cooked enough. My husband had a steak sandwich that he said was good but not great. I did enjoy my Russian River Pale Ale, and would definitely return to try other items on the menu.

What a great little place, added a big outdoor area since CovId too. It looks way too hot to sit outside so we enjoyed the air-conditioning at the bar. I have been to this bar many many times. I just never reviewed it. They definitely renovated. It looks very nice. the bartenders were very cool and interesting. We ordered the wings because that's what they're known for. They were cooked perfectly a nice crispy outside and nice and juicy inside. We only ordered the barbecue, but next time will try the original buffalo prices are reasonable.

The food was fabulous! The pulled pork... OMG!...Out of this world! I would drive 20 miles just for this! A nice selection of chilled beverages as well as plenty of iced pup water! Staff was very attentive and 200% on point! Hard to control things: It was hot, not much air flow, air coolers were located on the road side patio; misters seemed to be located on the lawn area where there was no seating, so not sure what that was for actually. Ugh... how to fix these hot weather things???

What a gem on River Rd. We sat outside in the lovely outdoor area, and watch the kids play horseshoes. My sister had a cheeseburger and I had the French dip, we split a half order of fries. The service was on point and we had a fun time.

Russian River Pub did surpass my expectations. I was going into it, thinking that this was going to have typical bar food. But the place had a large variety of foods, and the pasta salad and clam chowder were delicious. They also had tri tips and other types of meats available that were delicious. The party I came with was large (9 people), but we were seated immediately, so there were plenty of tables available. Highly recommend trying this place if you're in the area!

It's a great restaurant. The food is excellent, friendly service and the ambiance is great for the area where we live. It's a fun family friendly establishment.
