Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach, A Trademark All Inclusive

As a black person, some of the servers look down on you. The servers are not too nice. Please ask for Roxanne. She is an amazing server. She made sure we were enjoying our stay. She checked on my mother 79yo and mother in law 64yo when the rest of us were out on our excursions. That really touched us. Besides that, everyone and everything else were great.

I write this review with sadness. We were regulars at 14 visits in 19 years (we haven’t been for 6 years until this week) (had baby) We decided to stay on the “new side” and from the moment we stepped foot on the property, you could see that they rushed building this location. It has no soul, cheap everything throughout. Our shower wasn’t sealed and leaking into our room and out to the hallway. Doesn’t help that we got towel replacements 2/5 days. The closet doors made of plywood. No way to store clothes as there is no dresser. Any furniture is Costco quality. The safe was broken and the shower had no hot water (for five days) and the water coming out was painfully too aggressive. The people used to be amazing. The star of the show, now they are disgusted to serve you. I started laying $20us on the bar for service. No luck. The Decameron Dancers all quit and night time entertainment was pitiful. The old side of Royal Decameron is so beautifully built with pride quality and art. New side is a motel 6 (actually worse). Liquor is completely watered down. You will get sick from sugar over alcohol. Positives: Food was great, views are amazing and beach is unmatched. Coffee shop is so good! There are a few workers that have been there for years and they are still awesome. This pace is just minutes from the airport! Besides that this place is so depressing. Stay on old side if you want any clue of quality. The wifi is fantastic but doesn’t come close to making up for the poor quality resort and people. I never plan to return, which saddens me. This place used to be so special. Spend the extra money and go elsewhere. Thanks, Ben 14 time customer.

My wife and I had a fabulous time at this resort. All staff were amazing and friendly, the building and room was clean and welcoming, pool and beach clean, no issues with food, plenty to pick from, entertainment was good. The only slight negative was that the bars did seem to run out of beer quite regular but then that was a perfect excuse to try the cocktails. I was very worried after reading some of the reviews and it made the start of my holiday quite stressful, please don't take the bad reviews too serious, we never experienced any of the bad points.

Since the arrived moment, I was stunned with the gorgeous view from the lobby - named lobby ocean view!! The staff were very friendly an authentic inspiring you with the Jamaica vibe, I had my room located in the second floor with a great pool and ocean views, the room looks new and great size same like the bathroom. At the same floor the hotel has a coffee bar open almost 24 hrs with a terrace to enjoy the gorgeous view. |Great food teste and flavor everyday something different however keeping the traditional American breakfast ( omelette, bacon, etc) and international food. The entertainment team always have something fun to offer like karaoke, game at the pool area and more, live violin playing in the evening I love it! Also staying on this hotel I enjoyed the restaurants and facilities of the resort next door so book 1 enjoy 2 resorts ( free flow) between the resorts. |100% sure the hotel has the best beach in Montego Bay! I had good time there.

Great location, excellent staff, amazing food! The bedding are super confortable and rooms are big, clean and offer an oceanview. The enternainment team is just to die for, no way you can sit on your chair and not participate. Would return anytime to spend some vacation or even workationing. Excellent quality-value.

We just stayed here for 3 days and had a great time. The bed feels like a cardboard box. Please note you should definitely pack wash cloths because they do NOT provide any. The food was decent at times, but ultimately we won't be returning at least not to this resort.

Book somewhere else! There's no need to write a long review for this. The food option is limited and is not vegetarian/vegan friendly. 2/5 Room 2/5 dirty drapes, iron doesn't work, no washcloth in the room. When the room is serviced, the shower is not cleaned. There is no blanket in the room. You have to call the front desk and request it. General staff 4/5 n Management, very lack luster 1/5 Entertainment 2/5 Worst hotel experience I had. Will not be rebooking.

Just returned from the Montego side. All of the negative review had me very worried. However We loved it! Yes it is an older resort that needs some TLC, yes you may have late housekeepers and late towels, but why let that ruin your trip? The staff was amazingly nice, Charmaine from guest relations is phenomenal and tries to accommodate your needs. The food I felt like had limited options, but what they did have was very good. The drinks were plentiful, the entertainment was Great. The place is clean and comfortable. I would definitely return, I have no complaints worth typing. This place is a little piece of Heaven.
