"All Aboard at Bangkok's Hippest Market Although no longer located in its original spot next to an old train line, Talad Rot Fai (aka "train market") retains every bit of its hipster appeal. Open at the weekends, the market sells everything from retro clothing to vintage motorcycle parts. There's also a good range of bars from where to watch the cool kids do their thing."

A guide to Bangkok’s night markets - SilverKris

"The original 'Train Market' relocated to the Paradise Park area and Sri Nakharin Road Soi 51, retaining a vintage-minded atmosphere with colourful awnings and Old Western–style façades. It rose to fame for its extensive vintage offerings — from furniture tucked at the far end to retro-style clothing and posters — though cheap electronics and a cluster of loud bars also populate the stalls. The scene now tends to attract local teens, but vintage hunters who explore past the louder zones can still find genuine gems. Open Thursdays to Sundays in the late afternoon to midnight." - SilverKris

South-east Asia’s best places to shop - SilverKris

"Two open-air night market permutations—one in the suburbs of Srinakarin and a newer, more accessible spot next to the train station in Ratchada—offer a quaint, kitschy vibe with stalls assembled out of camper vans and car boots. Shoppers can hunt for pre-loved clothing and handbags, antique furniture, vintage cameras and all manner of collectibles, then refuel at food and drink stalls serving local snacks, cocktails and occasional pop-up live jazz performances." - SilverKris

One of my absolute favorite night markets in Bangkok. The atmosphere here is just perfect fewer tourists and a lot more locals, hanging out, eating, and enjoying the evening. You really feel the real Bangkok vibe here. There’s tons of food, from classic Thai street dishes to creative little snacks it’s the kind of place where you just keep tasting everything. Add live music, small cozy bars, and lots of second-hand corners, and it becomes the perfect mix. What makes it special are the old cars, vintage décor, and real flea-market finds instead of cheap souvenir stuff you often see elsewhere. Everything feels a bit improvised, but that’s exactly the charm of it. It’s a wonderful combination of food, music, nostalgia, and local life. If you want to experience Bangkok beyond the touristy markets, this is definitely the place. Best time to visit: Friday or Saturday night, when everything is fully alive. 👉 In short: authentic, lively, and full of character. A must-see for anyone who wants to feel the real Bangkok.

Train Night Market Srinagarindra is a good to visit evening spot with free entry, a buzzing atmosphere, and endless things to explore. Rows of food stalls serve everything from fresh fruit and seafood to quirky street eats, while bars with live music and even spots to catch a soccer match keep the energy high. Shopping ranges from cheap clothes and souvenirs to curated vintage finds, antiques, and thrift treasures, and the neon signs, vintage cars, and even a plane make for unforgettable photo opportunity The market is massive so plan at least a couple of hours and although it’s a bit out of town, the trip is well worth it for the mix of food, shopping, and entertainment. We went for a quick walk and could easily have spent much longer wandering through the stalls. The only challenge is getting there, but if you have the time it’s a rewarding experience. This is accessiblele via MRT Rama IX, quite close to Seacon Square, Lotus and Paradise Park. Be prepared to walk a lot, the area is huge so wear something sporty or comfortable, and enjoy discovering one of Bangkok’s night scenes.

It was definitely the best night market I’ve visited so far in Bangkok! Very, very cheap, with lots of great and affordable food, and many inexpensive things to buy. I purchased many items and tried so much food. It’s far from the city center, but I went with a friend and a Grab ride cost us only 200 Bhat — so cheap! You should try the leng (beef tendon) and ribs. If you want to buy new or vintage things like clothes, shoes, and more, I think this is the cheapest place. 8,8/10. I’m Brazilian and have a travel agency in Peru — Cusco, Machu Picchu 🇧🇷🇵🇪 @dopkertravel. If you travel to Peru, I can help you! ✈️

The Srinagarindra Train Night Market, also known as Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin, offers a unique and authentic Bangkok experience, distinct from the more touristy markets. It's a massive open-air bazaar that is particularly famous for its vintage and retro atmosphere. The food scene at Srinagarindra is one of its biggest draws. You'll find a massive section dedicated to food stalls and restaurants offering a huge selection of local Thai cuisine. It's a great place to try a wide variety of dishes, including: Classic Thai street food: Pad Thai, curries, and various grilled meats. Seafood: An incredible array of fresh seafood, from grilled prawns and salted-grilled fish to unusual snacks like crispy shrimp heads. Unique dishes: Look out for oversized portions of noodle soup, various fried insects for the adventurous eater, and a wide selection of Thai desserts.

Hands down one of the best night markets in Bangkok. It offers pretty much everything you’re looking for. From mouth watering street foods, bars, restaurants, tattoo parlors, nail parlors and etc. it basically has something to offer for every type of person. The best part of this place is the insanely huge thrift market at the back end. Amazing collection of clothes. You can easily spend a good 3-4 hours easily roaming this market.

Train Night Market Srinagarindra is honestly one of the coolest places to hang out the whole market is packed with energy, tons of food stalls, clothing shops, vintage finds, and just endless things to explore. The vibe is super lively, and everywhere you walk there’s something new catching your eye. One of the highlights for me was this anime art pancake stall where the pancakes are insanely detailed and look exactly like the characters; mine looked so good I barely wanted to eat it, and it actually tasted amazing too. It’s such a fun spot to wander, snack, shop, and just soak in the atmosphere you can easily spend hours there and still not see everything.

The Train Night Market, known locally as Talad Rot Fai, is one of Bangkok’s most iconic and vibrant night markets. Located behind Seacon Square on Srinakarin Road, this sprawling market offers a perfect blend of street food, vintage shopping, and local culture. Unlike tourist-heavy spots, Talad Rot Fai has a laid-back, authentic vibe that appeals to both locals and curious travelers. What makes this market stand out is its diverse mix of offerings. You’ll find rows of stalls selling vintage clothing, retro home decor, antiques, and handmade accessories. For collectors and fashion hunters, it’s a goldmine of unique finds. The food scene is equally impressive—think grilled meats, seafood, spicy salads, Thai desserts, and fun oversized dishes perfect for sharing. Bars with live music, quirky container-style cafés, and open-air seating areas give the market a festival-like atmosphere. The energy picks up after 7 PM, and the place truly comes alive with music, lights, and the delicious aroma of street food. Getting there requires a taxi or Grab ride, as it’s not directly accessible by BTS, but the experience is well worth the effort. It’s best to bring cash and arrive with an empty stomach and a sense of adventure. In short, Train Night Market is more than just a market—it’s a cultural experience, offering a fun, flavorful, and visually rich night out in Bangkok. A must-visit for anyone looking to dive into the city’s true street culture.

This night market is not as crowded, stuffy or crampy like Jodd Fair / Chatuchak market, as the walk way are spacious which make it easy to walk. Many stalls selling food with ample seats to seat on. It will take about 30 to 40 mins by car from Sukhumvit area depending on traffic. There is a Train station and a shopping mall within walking distance.
