Ristorante Lido Bianco

A special birthday diner for my wife - 7.30pm reservation (made via WhatsApp) and we were the first ones here ! This is an upscale restaurant with a lot of history in Monopoli since 1947. Upon arrival my wife and I were shown to one of THE most amazing tables in the outside garden over looking the Adriatic sea - It took our breath away ! (see photos) Our waiters all spoke very good English and made us feel very special. They gave us some great recommendations for food and especially the wine, which was a local Puglian white from the Valle D'itria and really one of the best whites we have tasted so fresh and fruit laden - Perfect choice for us. Our Fish was wonderfully prepared and we will remember this place and hopefully go back one day - many thanks to all the staff again - it was a very special night for us in so many ways.

High end restaurant I had fish of the day that was expertly grilled. You get to chose what fish you want from the counter. Good wine menu. Brilliant view of the sea

Very nice atmosphere both inside and outside, nice spot for chilling by the sea. Little annoying that there is only 1 bathroom for ladies in this big area.

Great location by the sea. Oyster were fabulous- skip the risotto. It was under done. No One asked how our risotto was.

Great view and great wine list. But, the rest of the experience is extremely disappointing. The host is kind, but the rest of the waiters are either rude while serving, do not pay any attention and spill your wine while pouring it. The food is nothing special, yet expensive. The tuna is too fishy, a clear sign of lesser quality. The fish of the ‘fish bar’ turned out dry and was incredibly expensive; 60 euros for 4 small bites. Altogether, the most disappointing restaurant in Puglia in the pas 5 years by a mile.

A wonderful experience. Lovely views over the Monopoli coastline, elegant background music setting the scene, fine food and wine selection and great service.

I feel humiliated. The waiter was rude and didnt want to give the change back. Didnt even want to pick up the order but the view is nice and the aperol is good.

A great waterfront restaurant with exceptional seafood. The octopus salad was delicious and my wife’s raw shrimp with burrata pasta was excellent. This venue was recommended to us by our hotel and is a 10-minute walk from the main square in Monopoli. Good value too.
