Rigi on Postcard

"Amongst the Alps An hour outside of Zurich is Mount Rigi, one of the most stunning places I've ever seen. Departing from Zurich on a day tour, we drove by bus to Lucerne where we were lead to a cable car depot at the foothill of the mountain before continuing uphill by train. This took us close to the summit where we carried on by foot. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. The air was fresh, the lake crystal clear, the sky blue, the sun bright and the experience priceless. Once atop the mountain within the Alps, we were in awe of the spectacular panoramic views, we contemplated life and took time out for lunch at the hilltop restaurant before heading back to Lucerne by ferry before dusk. As you see here, it was a joyful day. We did flips and cartwheels amid the Alps to mark the success of our accomplished journey. It's most definitely a day I won't forget. By barbara chennault"

perfect peak ever - views are great . They have ongoing renovation on top so it’s kinda spoil the vibe ! Overall very good . Took a cogwheel train up there. There are many ways to go up but doesn’t have a clear Instruction but a local there is really kind to guide us . Thank you to you sir !

I've read that Mount Rigi is one of famous mountain tourist spot in Switzerland. So we were really excited to go there, especially to the top (Rigi Kulm)because we can see more beautiful views - you can also do some hikings …unfortunately it wasn't the right time for us, it was really foggy on the top, so we couldn't see any views at all, it was all covered with Fog 😁. By the way, we took the cogwheel train from Arth Rigi Bahn and then took the train again to Vitznau and from there we took the ferry to Lucerne... Hoping I can go back again with a better weather. Ps; it was summer when we went but it wasn’t really the best summer-😕

Apparently very popular but we didn't run into any crowds, and in July!? Maybe cause they were predicted rain? Totally awesome experience. We took the cogwheel from Arth Goldau to the summit (nice ride with great scenery- 45 min.). Toilets and a restaurant at the top. We hiked for about 3 hours & took cogwheel back up to enjoy more of the view before going down. Many trails to choose from. The flora tail with Rigi Sheidegg was our pick. We were not disappointed.

There are several ways to reach the summit (Rigi Kulm). The one I like the most is taking the cog wheel train from Arth-Goldau (40-45 minute ride). You will not be disappointed. 360-degree view, restaurant,hotel,souvenir shop. A must if you visit Switzerland, in my opinion!

WOW. WOW. WOW. It was my first time in Swiss and in the short stay I was there I visited mt rigi. It was free with the saver day pass. I reached arth goldeu from zurich. Took the cog wheel up. Stayed for an hour and took the cogwheel down to vitznau. The view was spectacular. I took the first cogwheel from arth goldeu at 7.55 am. We had the whole place to ourself and by the time started the decend the place was packed with people. SO BE THERE VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING.
