The location was unbeatable and the suite was pretty nice. They were able to let me check in about 3 hours early, which was much appreciated since I desperately needed a nap and shower! The breakfasts were lovely, but it is A LOT of food. We never really bought lunch because we had food left from breakfast to take on the road with us each day. I give it 4 stars for the following reasons: There didn't appear to be a way to control the temperature in our suite. It was a challenge to take a shower without getting water all over the floor. Bathroom sink wasn't draining well. No sponge provided for doing the dishes, just a brush. The towel situation was weird. Housekeeping would take the towels that I hung up and intended to reuse. They didn't always replace the towels, so I had to call to get some brought up. It seemed like they kept leaving more and more hand towels each day instead of bath towels. A couple of the towels they brought were not clean.

Had a great stay at the Reykjavik Residence Hotel! The customer service is excellent. When I emailed them a few days before my arrival to ask to change the room type, not only did the respond quickly but upgraded the room at no charge since I booked directly through their website.
The room itself was great! I stayed in a two bedroom apartment with some friends. I was very spacious and extremely clean. The hotel was very accommodating in setting up the beds and pull out sofa in the way we requested.
The one thing that people should be aware of is that this hotel is actually a collection of multiple buildings. So while you can check in at the main building, you will likely need to go to a different building to go to your actual room. This wasn't a problem for us, but if you have many bags just be aware of this. They did offer a way to check in using an app, which gets rid of the need to go to the central building. I didn't use this option, though, so can't speak to how well it works.
Overall, I would 100% recommend this place and plan on staying here next time I'm in Reykjavik!

The staff's professionalism, friendliness, and warmth were excellent. The accommodations were also excellent. We stayed in The Artisan House, which was within walking distance to the buses, restaurants, and shopping . Our room was spotless, spacious, and well stocked with the necessary essentials. We arrived very early and the staff secured our luggage, allowing us to go have breakfast. They worked diligently to have our room ready much earlier, as they saw how exhausted we were. I can not say enough about our stay!

Beautiful, comfortable and centrally located.
One thing: although we didn’t need it (after all, we were there to escape the routine, make memories and discover new places), the rooms would benefit from a more modern smart TV, one that provides access to streaming services or the ability to cast from your personal device.
In any case, we loved every minute of it and would absolutely stay there again!

Our stay at the Reykjavik Residence Hotel was exceptional! We arrived very early, and the staff kindly allowed us to store our luggage so we could start exploring the city right away—We stayed in the Artisan House, just a 4-minute walk from the main building and check-in. The location was perfect—within easy walking distance of great restaurants, the Sun Voyager, Harpa, and Hallgrímskirkja.|Our room was incredibly comfortable and thoughtfully stocked with tea, coffee, milk, and cornflakes. I especially loved the L'Occitane amenities, which added a touch of luxury to our stay.|The staff could not be more friendly and helpful throughout. The hotel undoubtedly deserves its high TripAdvisor rating, and we're already planning to return in October.

From the moment we arrived Katerina and Constantine were very welcoming and helpful getting us into our room. They were so friendly, and such a great first day introduction to Iceland for us. The room was immaculate! Absolutely clean and comfortable. If we could rate higher than five stars we would! Thank you!

My three children and I stayed at the Reykjavik Residence over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was centrally and conveniently located in the heart of the city with spectacular views of the water and mountains. The staff was amazing, very accommodating. The room had everything we needed and more. Heated towel racks, spacious living area, comfortable beds, and beautiful shower, a full kitchen, and so much more. I would 100% stay there again!

Excellent hotel in the center of Reykjavik - within walking distance of most attractions which is great. We booked two Superior Studios - one for my wife and I and the other for my daughter and her partner. We were all located in the building that houses the Reception which was really convenient - the accommodation was spacious, super-clean, warm and well-equipped. The kitchen area was more than adequate to prepare a small meal - microwave, induction hob, kettle, coffee-maker, fridge and all utensils, were in place. We opted for the breakfast option which was excellent - the breakfast trays (which included a range of goodies) are replenished every evening for the following morning; this provided enough sustenance prior to embarking on our daily explorations and would be highly recommended - this included delicious fresh sour dough bread hung on the room door handle on each morning (around 8 AM). House keeping was excellent - prompt and efficient A+. The 24 hr Reception Staff were courteous and very helpful A+. Overall, everyone in our party were highly impressed, this was a GREAT EXPERIENCE - you do get what you pay for and more!
