This was going to be a 4, maybe 5 star review but that fell apart when the bill came. There was a €5.80 item that I didn't know what it was, so I asked - bread and olives. We were served (not requested, or asked if we wanted it) a small dish of olives, maybe 10 or 12 and half a piece of bread each. I'm pretty sure that's not legal, and it certainly ruined an otherwise lovely dinner. I just don't like being taken advantage of, especially, for a €100+ dinner for two.
The burrata salad and beef carpaccio starters were both excellent. I had the lamb, as recommended by the waiter and my wife had the cod. Both very good, although I found the lamb a bit dried out - still very good, but not excellent. A local wine recommended by the waiter was also excellent.
Rather than argue about the bread, I did not tip, which bothers me as I'm sure it hurts the staff more than whoever sets the policy to force €5.80 out of each couple (maybe only the tourists?).
As many others have stated, a seat by the railing on a nice evening provides an amazing view. I hope management reads some of the recent reviews and addresses some of the issues.
