This is completely a plant based fine dinning sourcing only local ingredients! So delicious! Amazing service and food, impressive dishes and the drink pairings was surprisingly good. The staff could not be more welcoming and it is incredibly affordable for tourists that want to dine here. Be prepared to be surprised! Fun, fun, fun!

I just experienced what can only be described as culinary theater at its finest. Sitting at the bar with a perfect view of the open kitchen, I was treated to an mesmerizing display of passion, artistry, and seamless teamwork. Watching the chefs, servers, pastry chef, and sommelier work in perfect harmony was like witnessing a well-orchestrated performance. The 14-course tasting menu was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish arrived as a small masterpiece, so beautifully plated that I found myself hesitating to disturb these edible works of art. This wasn't just dining; it was a feast for all the senses. My eyes, taste buds, and soul were equally nourished. What truly elevated the experience was the thoughtful curation behind every element. The ingredients, sourced from Bali and Indonesia, were incredibly fresh and unique, showcasing flavors I'd never encountered before. The creativity and meticulous planning that went into crafting this unforgettable journey was evident in every bite. The service was impeccable. Guests here are truly spoiled with attention to detail. Having the head chef personally present and explain both the main course and final dessert added an intimate, personal touch that made the evening feel even more special. By the meal's end, I was completely satisfied yet somehow still craving more of this magical experience. Whether you typically eat plant-forward or not, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit when in Bali. It's not just a meal; it's an experience that will stay with you long after the last bite. Absolutely phenomenal. Cannot wait to return.

A refined dining experience and magic of plant-based cuisine. Unlike general Indonesian dishes, the seasoning of the dishes are pretty mild, yet the spice and the ingredients are very well balanced. Overall, it was a very refreshing dinner, which helped me escape from the busy world. Small complaint: too many dessert in the course

This restaurant has Michelin-level food, service and care, while showcasing the best of local ingredients. We didn’t know what half the vegetables and fruits on the menu were before we tried them but boy were they INCREDIBLE. There is no better place to enjoy everything Bali has to offer in its best state. There was careful attention to every single detail.. honestly can’t believe the food! My husband and I were in awe the whole time. Incredible. Just.. incredible. We had the long menu, and it was 14 rounds of pure joy.

Came here last night for the long tasting menu and the food was absolutely incredible. So many interesting local ingredients, beautifully showcased in perfectly composed masterpieces. I feel like this restaurant could be gunning for a Michelin star, it's that good! Service was fantastic, and the head chef came round with our last course and he was so friendly and humble. Everything is plant based and can be totally vegan (they just use honey in one thing I think, but this can be avoided!).

I absolutely love Herbivore in Ubud. The staff are friendly, and the food is simply divine. Everything is plant-based, which perfectly fits the restaurant’s name, “Herbivore.” For lunch, there are three menu options available. I chose the 3-course menu with alcohol pairing, which featured seven different dishes accompanied by four locally made alcoholic drinks (except for the sake, which is imported from Nagano, Japan). The chef, Arnaud Hauchon, is French. According to the server, the menu will be updated on July 9. I’m definitely planning to return and try the longer menu next time, which includes 14 dishes.

One of the best experience I ever had in my life. Chef Arnaud is a true genius and the dishes, all flora based, are delicious.
