Restaurant K

The service and food were wonderful! We did the 7 course tasting menu, ordered a bottle of wine. We were the only people in the restaurant for about 30 min so we had a lot of attention. We enjoyed the experience, food and the service however, I’m not sure it was worth $500 USD. It was very over priced and hyped up upon check in. Although we enjoyed this, I would skip it next time!

One of the best experiences you can ever live. Not only for the place you are, but for the whole combination of location, food service, and of course the vacation time you are probably spending. The testing menu is simply excellent, they manage to guide you through all different type of flavors, accompanied with wine pairing which intensifies them while tasting this delicious dinner. Sitting on top of sand, you can hear the ocean while having a romantic dinner right at the beach. The decoration is beautiful and service is incredible. This restaurant is a must when staying at Sofitel or visiting Moorea.

We had 7 course tasting menu with wine pairing, and all the dishes were just delicious! Make sure you book the dates that serve tasting menu to get the best experience. Will definitely come back for the best meal in town when we return to Moorea!

Was it good? Yes, absolutely. Is it worth paying double what you would pay in the regular hotel restaurant? Not sure. The starter I had was indeed unique, but the main I chose (steak and gratin) was actually very similar, if not identical (which I highly suspect, since both gratins were low on salt...) to the same dish I had in the other restaurant the day before. Other than the sauce, it was almost identical. In fact, the dish I had the day before was bigger... So it was a little disappointing for me. Other than that, it was good.

We had a 3 course menu without wine pairing. The ambient in the sand was absolutely amazing. Also the service was also good. Unfortunately we wanted to order a la carte which was not possible. The food was mediocre, the mahi mahi was dry and the price is very very high given all this.

A beautiful setting for an exquisite dining experience. The foie gras with the Tahitian twist and the desserts were simply heavenly!

This was certainly the best meal we had the entire trip, and one of the best meals I have eaten. The portions are small as mentioned in some of the other reviews, but it’s a 7 course tasting menu. You’re not going to get a 16oz steak for your entree. Each of the courses were absolutely delightful, from the very beginning to the dessert. The wine pairings were also spot on. As amazing as the meal was, the service was outstanding. Very attentive, and helpful to explain each of the dishes as they were brought out. It did not feel too long at all. Once again it was a 7 course tasting menu, it’s going to take time. If you’re coming to Moorea and are looking for an outstanding dining experience, look no further.

Mediocre food at astronomical price tag. After huge hype from the hotel staff, my wife and I decided to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary by indulge our selves to a seven coarse fine dining experience at the Resturant K. Unfortunately, the food at this place nearly ruined our evening. Not only we were served bland food, even worst the texture was hideous. There was no smooth transition between flavors. The worst of all, both of us nearly retched from one of the dishes if we only took another bite. Sadly, from the seven courses meal, only three were satisfactory, the rest were simply awful. Such a disappointment.
