This restaurant was so delicious! Local homemade food at its best! Recommended to me by one of our tour guides. He didn’t steer us wrong. My boyfriend had the potato pancakes with goulash and I had stewed cabbage and I had the breaded pork chop.

Great little restaurant near city centre. Waitresses look intimidating, but were quite nice once talking to them, or when asked for recommandation on dishes. Inside doesnt have AC, but food is delicious especially for the low price. I had goulash with potato pancake, intestine soup, schnitzel, all delicious. So dont expect fancy restaurant experience, but great value with some downsides.

Very traditional Polish restaurant. The waiters were very friendly and patient.The beef tripe soup recommended by the waitress was delicious and the apple pancake was also very tasty.

Very traditional polish food, the gulasz goes very well with the mushrooms. As an Asian tourist, I did not expect the red borscht soup here to be dark purple in colour! The service was great, and the price was affordable too. Definitely recommend for people who has never tried Polish food.

We came here because we wanted something local. We were not disappointed. The ambience is vintage, as is the menu, and that is a good thing. Fresh, crisp beer, generous serving sizes of very nice food (1st time fried beetroots - great!). Overall, a very pleasant experience. We would come here again any time!

This is a place feels every bit of its forty-year tradition. It is located in the Krakow Old Town, near Jagiellonian University. Cechowa serves quality Polish cuisine at a decent price. I usually order beef tartare. Even though they make it with rump steak, instead of tenderloin, the meat is always fresh and served in my favorite, traditional way. Loyal customers can often be found here, especially ladies who meet to catch up in a comforting and familiar atmosphere. The service is always friendly, inviting and helpful.

Old style - great quality at an inexpensive price. Steak tartare , herring, potato pancakes, so many main dishes too served in a very polish style. Many restaurants chase what's new and fashionable , not Cechowa. I can't recommend it more highly.
