"California's colossal redwood trees are impressive enough, but add a carpet of colorful wildflowers beneath them and it's serious scenery overload. Redwood National Park's wildflower blooms emerge between January and September. That means, for the majority of the year, you can appreciate the eye-popping colors. Spring welcomes blooms like periwinkle forget-me-nots and golden mission bells, while California poppies and western dog violets last into late summer and fall. Some of the best wildflower hikes include the Trillium Falls, Lady Bird Johnson Grove, and Redwood Creek trails." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Definitely worth visiting, 2 days will allow you to see the highlights of the park. All the visitors centers have friendly staff. Fern canyon was well worth seeing. Depending on when you go you do need a reservation for this. The views are breathtaking and it’s amazing to see all the redwoods. Scenic routes are a must for this national park and well worth your time.

5 stars Redwood National Park is absolutely breathtaking! Walking among the towering redwoods feels like stepping into another world. The trails are well-maintained, and there are options for all fitness levels. Fern Canyon is a must-see—lush, green, and surreal. Wildlife is abundant, and the coastal views are stunning. Don’t forget to bring layers, as the weather can change quickly. One of the most peaceful and awe-inspiring places I’ve ever visited. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time at Redwood National Park! We camped at Gold Bluffs Beach in Prairie Creek—and wow, it was beautiful. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and waking up steps away from the waves was something I’ll never forget. One of the highlights was seeing wild elk just hanging around like locals. Super cool but definitely keep your distance—these animals are massive and not here to play. Pro tips from our trip: • Bring a jacket! It gets cold and windy, even in warmer months. • If you’re hiking Fern Canyon, expect to get wet. Bring a change of socks, maybe even shoes. The trail is stunning and totally worth it, but there’s no staying dry. • Go early to beat the crowds—it’s a popular spot and fills up fast. • If you’re traveling with kids (or even if you’re a kid at heart), do the Junior Ranger program! It’s fun, educational, and a great way to connect with the park. This park is magical—between the giant trees, ocean views, wildlife, and peaceful vibes, it’s one of the best stops on our trip. We’ll definitely be back. — Kemoshire | Honest reviews. If I visit it, I review it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Incredible Adventure Park Among the Treetops! This park is an absolutely magical place! You can walk along rope bridges suspended high among the treetops, enjoying breathtaking views of nature. The adrenaline, the thrilling heights, and the complete sense of freedom make it an unforgettable experience! The wooden sculptures are particularly impressive, blending seamlessly into the natural surroundings. Each one is a true work of art, making the forest feel alive. Just when you think you’ve seen the biggest tree yet, you realize there’s an even bigger one! This place is amazing! Breathtaking! Really loved that you can just look on google maps where you’re going and find your way though the forest. I went there mid march and it was kinda cold, but great weather for a hike!

MAY 2025 - Redwood National Forest was absolutely magnificent and breath-taking. Some were over 3,000 years old! Highly recommend driving the full route of Avenue of the Giants to take in the full beauty of this treasured forest.

My brother and I went to Cathedral Trails and it was amazing. We saw some banana slugs, which were really cool! The trail was on the short side, but was perfect for what we were looking for! They have the "Big Tree" with a plaque and platform to take pictures that give the size, diameter, etc of the tree! I'd absolutely visit this trail again!
