Not the easiest place to find; just a plain door with a picture of a dog. Made it feel like a Speakeasy! We didn't have reservations but it was early and the waiter got us into a nice spot by the window. A bit tight but great view out to the street. Cool decor, food was amazing, beer selection's a bit overwhelming. So many labels we'd never heard of so it was hard to make any knowledgeable decision. My first choice was not to my liking at all, but what do you do? Dessert was amazing! Food delivery was very slow, but that can be a good thing sometimes. The acoustics are quite bright so it is very loud and you have to yell at the person across the table to be heard. A few well-placed acoustic panels in more fabric would do wonders. We will be back though.

Went here with high expectations. Unfortunately the service was so so slow. We ordered five dishes and dessert. We had reservations. We walked in and no hostess or anyone came to greet us. Every waiter was dressed in regular clothes so it was hard to tell who was a waiter. We had someone come up to us after a bit of a wait. We were seated. They didn’t have cups for water but asked us to order drinks. We order drinks and surprisingly they have glasses for drinks but not water. Water comes later. We ordered five entrees for four people. We wait forty minutes for the first dish. Beef tartare. Thought it was weird that the dishes dont come all together. Whatever. We ordered dessert and it came early before our fifth dish. The pork I swear is 44th street slow braised pork from Costco. The Rosti was pretty good. They comped us for the dessert coming early saying that it was a misunderstanding on their part even though I heard my SIL ask for it to come after the whole meal. Again dishes were slow. We had to flag down the waiter for the bill at the end. We were there at 6pm. Waiting for five entrees itself, we were done by 7:45pm. A two hour affair for five entrees that were smaller in portion. Moreover, the waitress corrected us on the name of dishes a few times even though it’s really dark and I can’t really read the menu. The menu itself should be printed differently so it’s easier to read. I’m not sure it’s worth coming back…

Our first visit was a pleasant success!
This cozy spot overlooks 9th Ave in Inglewood. The rustic yet trendy atmosphere feels like grandmas home with amazing food. We enjoyed the charcuterie, beef tartare and curry wurst. All were simple yet elegant and delicious. The staff were all helpful, knowledgeable and joyful. All this earned a do over visit! See you next time.

The IPA was very good. The eggplant dip was delicious. The burger was pretty good. The rösti potato thing was very interesting and flavorful. The lemon cake was meh, the dough was quite dry. Without the cake, it's $25 per person and it's totally worth it.

If you enjoy an unusual atmosphere with vinyl LP music, a wide selection of drinks, and amazing food pairings, then you should try Rain Dog Bar. The service is outstanding. The staff are very friendly and strive to provide a personal touch for each customer, which is a great thing. I had the best burger I've ever eaten in Calgary here! It's truly amazing. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends!

Fantastic food and amazing service. One of our party had lactose allergy, and staff did a great job of accommodating where they could and making sure we know exactly what's in each dish. Food tasted and looked great, very nice twists on every dish. Definitely want to go back to try more of the menu!
Must try for beer lovers, they have a huge selection.
