"Morning Calm in Copenhagen I love exploring a new city by running through its parks and streets. And early morning runs offer a whole new perspective on a city. In Copenhagen , the path around the city's five lakes is a perfect four-mile running loop. The water is so still at that hour that it reflects the sunrise. Early on a Saturday, you never know what you might see. In addition to swans, I saw two bikes that had settled to the bottom of the water (evidence of a fun Friday night), and some drunk revelers dancing on a paddle boat."

"Walk the Lakes An essential part of experiencing life in Copenhagen , is a walk along the Norrebro lakes. A popular spot for locals, the lakes are lined by periodic cafes and always alive with joggers, people on dates, and locals enjoying the weather. They also provide a beautiful insight into what daily life in Copenhagen looks like."

Dronning Louises Bro (English: Queen Louise's Bridge) is a bridge across The Lakes in central Copenhagen, Denmark. On a sunny Day the area is full of joggers, lovers kissing on the benches and parents with baby prams. The bridge joins Frederiksborggade in Indre By (city centre) with Nørrebrogade in Nørrebro and separates Sortedam Lake (Sortedam Sø) to the northeast from Peblinge Lake (Peblinge Sø) to the south west. Queen Louise's Bridge is built of granite and has three arches. The cast iron railings are decorated by four identical bronze cartouches featuring Copenhagen's coat of arms surrounded by weapons, helmets and lions. The railing integrates eight lampposts and four flagpoles The bridge was designed by Vilhelm Dahlerup, and constructed between 1885 and 1887. The bridge is named after Queen Louise, King Christian IX's wife.

Amazing bridge next to Nørbro neighborhood. The lake is usually full of young people drinking and making picnic. The atmosphere is quiet calm. You can rent some swam - boat to enjoy with friends. The best part is the sunset. The coulors in the sky could give you the best pictures! If you do not like a picnic idea in Nørbro will find plenty bars and restaurants. It is a young area full of charming places

Go in September, not August if you a bit more of quietness. The place is clean and nice, the water is perfect, very clear and it’s perfect for swimming. It can also be family friendly as the ocean is not agitated. You can find food and drink around and is close to beautiful Scopello.

This is the one of most beautiful place I visited in Copenhagen. you can take buses to reach there. There are coffee shops, bars near the bridge. very good place to visit if you travel to Copenhagen. Boats are available.

Just a low bridge but slightly unusual setting in that it crosses a man made lake as opposed to a canal or river. Nice structure which leads you over to Nørrebro, which is a trendy part of Copenhagen. We had a walk over there and it certainly seemed a bit more Bohemian, gritty, but in a good way. Lots of places either side of the lake to sit and munch a sandwich while people watching. Can imagine that it gets rammed in the summer. Nice.
