A great spot to come for cocktails in central London. It is in a smart hotel but anyone can go and staff throughout were friendly. It has a lovely laid back atmosphere with comfy sofa/chairs and wood panelled walls. We didn't book and got a seat straight away on Friday night which was perfect. The cocktails were good if a little pricey - but the friendly at seat service and atmosphere makes up for that. My friend has a non-alcoholic cocktail which they said was delicious.

Complex drinks but not memorable. Bar provides ingredients & instructions. Pricey too (>£20 per drink, almost twice the average we pay). The place was posh & comfortable but there’s nothing among the decor to justify the expensive experience. Useful for business conversations, I guess, since we observed a few of those going on

Nice ambience and great service but the cocktails weren’t good enough to justify the cost. Nice for an occasion but not a regular spot.

There are many highlights of this bar that have almost made it one of my favorite bars in just one visit. First of all, the menu is a work of art itself, and the name of the cocktails are inspired by light and different times of the day (night). Many ingredients are eye-catching. Many cocktails are a twist of classic cocktails. The lighting is low and seatings are cushioned, giving it an intimate feeling. The service is friendly and the staff is knowledgeable with their drinks. However, I find that some cocktails are not well paired and come off quite strong in many aspects. I don’t mind a strong or aromatic drink, but there’s a balance to be struck. I also could not taste the tea when I ordered drinks with tea ingredients in them, which was a bummer for a tea lover like myself. The drinks are not cheap, even for London standards, given the space of improvement in the recipe. Overall, I’d probably come here again to try other items on the menu, as they all sound appealing to me, but the price is quite discouraging.

One of the best cocktail bars in London. Good atmosphere with efforts in designing the menu. The waitress/ bartender we had tonight was attentive, knowledgeable and recommended us drinks according to our liking. Good atmosphere

Wow! What a find!! We were recommended this place by Pavel and Anuj, so we decided to gave it a shot. The drinks are amazing! The service is even better. Zac and Alkit were truly great hosts with their attention to detail and promptness they made the whole experience very memorable. If you are looking for a place that serves high quality drinks and has immaculate service, then this is the place to be. Cheers.

An incredibly elegant and super comfortable place with excellent service and a fantastic atmosphere. On chilly evenings, the fireplace and cozy sofas make it the perfect spot to relax with a glass of punch. All the punches are homemade, and the menu changes often, so there’s always something new to try. Whether you prefer something warm and spiced or light and fruity, there’s a drink for every taste. It’s a place that feels both refined and welcoming—absolutely worth a visit.

Our favorite cocktail bar in london! I love the cockrow punch - I dont drink really, and it's the only thing that challenges my general attitude towards alcohol (that it doesn't taste good). They always give delicious little snacks and this time also gave us a welcome drink. The bar staff are very passionate and love talking about their work. They also have a few fabulous mocktails and just such an interesting, unique menu that's always changing. I highly recommend!

Yelp
A swanky, but chill and relaxed bar, if a bit pricey, in the back of the London Edition hotel (go toward the elevators but turn left). The person who checked me into the hotel pointed this out to me as she showed me to the elevators saying it was where to go if you wanted a quiet drink. She was so right. It's way nicer than the bar in the front of the hotel, which is just a bit brighter, noisier and busier. The selection of beer, wine and liquor was well above average for a hotel bar and the service was polite, helpful and attentive without being intrusive. We got a range of things including Patrón tequila, Talisker scotch and a few beers. They also brought out popcorn dusted with goat cheese as the complimentary bar snack. I'll definitely be back here.

Yelp
This is the backroom bar at the hotel, drinks were more complex and ambiance is more laid back then the main bar at the lobby. Cocktails at the Edition Hotel are top notch and many good looking locals are at the lobby bar. Service at the backroom is more attentive. Great spot for a drink over good conversation. They allow reservation so not a bad idea if on the weekends.

Yelp
Amazing cocktails. Amazing ambience. The menu provides a full story of amazing figures in the influence of punch culture and the staff expert in both the storytelling and the mixology. One of the best cocktail bars I've visited.

Yelp
A friend and I were waiting for space to free up at Berners Tavern, so we ducked into Punch Room to relax and burn off the hour until there would be space available. A positive note - all of the dining areas seem to be connected, as our tab here was simply transferred over to Berners once the seat was open. Although it definitely felt like you needed to have some sort of 'in' to get in, we were still let in (despite being sans company or particularly nice clothing) to have a drink. It's not all that big, but the room has an interesting feel that I would describe as a contemporary speakeasy. You don't really get any outside noise, but the design very much feels like a nicely done-up living room - lots of wood on the walls - and with hip-hop and rap jams playing in the background, you could be forgiven for forgetting that you were not in England anymore. As for the drinks themselves, I wouldn't quite put this in the same class as the American Bar, which has the best cocktails (and cocktail menu) I have seen anywhere. Nonetheless, the menu is laid out in a similar fashion, with 'punches' to go along with different themes. I didn't examine the offerings closely enough on the menu to see if there was something thematic about why 'punch' was the operative word in every cocktail - perhaps everything has some sort of fruit or sugar in it? - but nonetheless, I can say that the execution here is very solid. I ended up going for one of the tea-infused cocktails, which I really enjoyed - the tea was lightly present, but there was a bit more citrus, giving it a bit of an iced-tea flavor - but classier. With the floral undertones, it was a very enjoyable cocktail to sip on (it did last me the entire time we were in the Punch Room itself). I would definitely come back again, although given that it is usually harder to drop in, I am not sure I would plan on being able to visit as frequently, even if I was staying in the Edition itself. As a fan of the Savoy, I love that I have never had any issues dropping in at the American and grabbing a cocktail or two. But this is a nice spot in and of itself, and I would definitely come back to try more of their drinks.

Yelp
I loved this place! Lovely drinks and fabulous atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and obviously enjoy where they work, they really care about their customers. Ok, might be a bit pricey but considering this in in central London and given that they fuss over you and offer free popcorn ( which is to die for) it is worth it. Will definitely return soon and look forward to the new set of punch creations which I'm sure will be as delicious as ever!

Yelp
The Punch Room is one of the bars in the new Marriott London Edition hotel. I had previously been to the bar at Berner's Tavern but never to any of the bars in the actual hotel. Heard about punch room and decided to make reservations. They claim to operate a reservations only policy but when it is slow they are more flexible. The locations is in the back, past reception (door on the left) after entering the hotel. If the doors is closed you may need to be asked to be escorted there. We managed to walk in and were promptly seated at our table. The bar consists of two rooms, the first is fairly small and does not really look that nice or cozy. The inner room does however have a fire place, a nice looking bar and comfortable seating. I think they managed to make it look fairly nice. Upon being seated we received a small glass each of the seasonal special punch as a welcome drink. Nice little touch and something I appreciate. As the name suggests the focus is on punch that can be ordered to share. Other things can be ordered as well (and they also do food - made by the kitchen from Berner's Tavern) but we went for the punch (the punch room special). It is served in really nice looking bowls and it was a nicely balanced drink. It did have a kick to it so had to be a bit careful and not gulp it down too fast. The place would perhaps work even better for a large group as one could then sample loads of different ones. Service was fast and attentive. Price level was as dan be expected in London. Will most likely return as I appreciate the ability to book a table for drinks.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite place in London. I refuse to stay in any other hotel because I must be at a place where the Punch Room is just an elevator ride away. I DIE for the Edition Punch and the boozy afternoon tea. I feel like a giddy school girl when I think about going back to this swanky little spot. Love love love.

Yelp
The bar is located in the new Marriott London Edition hotel in Fitzrovia. It is a back room bar, not really visible from the street and it is reservation only. I am sure you can get a seat when its not that busy even without a reservation, but if you are intent on going, don't leave it up to chance. The bar is located past the reception through a door on the left. If the doors is closed you may need to ask to be escorted in. Upon being seated we received a small seasonal welcome drink. As the name suggests the focus is on punch that can be ordered to share. Other things can be ordered as well, like wine, beer and some cocktails and food from the kitchen from Berner's Tavern. but we were there for the real deal, the house punch. Traditionally punch consists of five ingredients (one of which is definitely not tinned fruit salad): an alcohol base, tea, some sugar to sweeten, lemon to sour, and spice. The House Punch was faithful to this combination with London Gin, lemon, oak moss syrup, orange blossom water and jasmine tea. The punch was served in a really nice looking bowl with cool glasses and the appropriate decorations. The taste was fresh with light sweetness. The drink had a kick to it and there was plenty so we had to be a bit careful and not gulp it down too fast. The concept would perhaps work even better for a large group as one could then sample loads of different ones. Service was fast and attentive. Price level was as to be expected in London with around 14£ per person for a punch bowl. Perhaps it is the house parties of the 90's or my student years that steered my low expectations for punch, but the Marriot Punch room was the one to revive them. I am sure I will be back as I appreciate the different concept and being able to book a table (I am the planning type). So if in London, give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Great little corner in this high profile hotel in Fitzrovia.... the only thing is that the space definition is not that great and people who work there are a bit rude... As the name suggest, it has an extensive menu of punch but no other special cocktail list... you can ask for any cocktail and they will make it... but it is not a full functioning cocktail bar with original list of great cocktails... and also punch list in my perspective is not that exciting... I use it more for a space as it tends to be slightly quieter and guaranteed to have a table / sofa as it is reservation only.... I would not use it for cocktails.

Yelp
This bar is on a World's Best Bar list but I don't feel so strongly about it. The bar itself is very plain, boring, with no atmosphere - yet it was a Friday night and full. Good for privacy, there's a massive wooden wall splitting the bar in two. Unfortunately we were on 'the other side' so had nothing but the wall and two other tables to look at. A bit claustrophobic. The room is hidden behind a plain wooden door in the Edition Hotel. You need a booking and to be escorted in. The specialty as you can guess is punch cocktails. You get a taster and a bowl of mixed nuts with your drinks menu. You can order food in from the hotel. The Edition special punch was lovely - mixture of strawberry liquor, Tanqueray gin, jasmine tea, and lemon and sage sherbet. Delicious. Not an extensive menu and fairly pricey. Atmosphere and decor really killed it for me.

Yelp
The Punch Room is a hidden gem in London. Nestled behind the London Edition hotel's front desk you likely won't find the Punch Room without asking for directions. But sometimes the reward for a small hunt is worth it, and in this case, the reward is well-worth it. The drinks (punches, obviously) at the Punch Room are second to none. If my recommendation was solely premised on the drinks, I would still give the Punch Room my heartiest endorsement. But the drinks are not even the star of the show. The staff is. We had the enormous pleasure of having Eric guide us through our punch experience. We were veritable punch novices before this experience. Eric was thoughtful and took time to explain the menu and each punch to us. And he took a real interest in our London excursion plans, as well. Even if Eric is not on duty, the Punch Room is perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of busy London. Put the Punch Room on your London punch list! You won't regret it!

Yelp
Its located in the Edition hotel. Its a fun atmosphere and great for meeting friends or for a date. Huge bar menu of different punch drinks which are unique and hand crafted by bartender with great fresh ingredients. You should make a reservation, as its usually full on typical busy nights. Ask for a table in the room with the bar, its got a bit of a netter setting than the side room. But, both rooms are a great setting for fun, and not too fancy, yet fairly upscale bar/pub/private club setting.big velvet and leather chairs add to the sophisticated feel. The doormen were really chatty and got us a table even though we were late for our own reservation. Really friendly staff and good service. The cheeseburger wasn't very good, but you don't go there for the food.

Yelp
Impeccable from start to finish as you would probably expect. A fantastic concept. Not really a cocktail bar, though there are cocktails, The Punch Room serves exactly that, by the glass or, for larger groups, in individually sourced antique punch bowls. Punch with a twist in this (almost) secret and certainly imtimate hideaway with oak panelling and a roaring fire. Whilst punch bowls with their suspended cups suggest a social drink to be shared, apparently, punch can also be enjoyed by lonesome privateers on desert islands, and the incredibly friendly (and unfeasibly beautiful!) team at the Punch Room certainly made sure the drinks kept coming. A welcoming complimentary taster of the punch of the day followed by a warming port based punch over a block of ice, the a fizzy champagne based punch allegedly a version of one served on the Titanic! Not cheap at £14 a glass but so good and so friendly I stayed for another and booked again for another visit (you should book in advance, and response to my email from Poppie was pretty much instant)
