Pudong Shangri-La

A wonderful week stay over the New Year at Shangrila Pudong. |We stayed at a Horizon club room overlooking The Bund and river.|Cannot fault the service, hospitality and attentiveness.|We have used the club facilities for a few transactions. We found the staff very professional and knowledgeable.|Our highlight during our week stay was meeting Kenny Ooi at Horizon club who is the assistant manager. He was so attentive to all our needs and more! He made our stay smooth, comfortable. He is such an asset to Shangrila! We will choose to stay here again when we return to Shanghai! Such a blessing to have met him! He has put our minds at ease with regard to decisions during this trip with his honest and knowledgeable opinions. We will always remember our stay at Shangrila Pudong with fondness! |Fabulous Christmas decors throughout and awesome buffet!!|Very clean hotel throughout! Yes, a little dated now but I will choose this hotel for its great service and array of food options!

We loved the hotel's location and the room view of the Bund and Pearl Tower. We strolled from the middle of Nanjing Road to the Bund and took the underwater tram through the sightseeing tunnel across the river. It was a short 5-10 minute walk past the Disney flagship store and the Super Brand Mall, and from there, it took only about 5 minutes to reach the old wing of the hotel—super convenient. The hotel breakfast had a wide variety of foods, and the lounge offered stunning views, albeit with a more limited selection. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful with restaurant reservations.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. It’s in a great location and the rooms are great. I had a room facing the bund and the view was spectacular. Being a platinum member, I had lounge access. The staff there at the horizon lounge Kenny, Rachel, frost Lucas, Byron and Nail really went above and beyond in their duties and took very good care of myself and my colleagues. I truly would like to extend my appreciation to them. All in all, I had a great time and will look forward to going back.

Excellent service, staff are all extremely attentive. There was an instance there were three older men trying to hit on me at the lobby but one of the receptionists assisted me and spoke softly to ensure no one could hear our conversation. Additionally, when we were about to check out, a random non-uniformed staff hurried to assist us with our luggage s and ensured we were assisted promptly. Thank you for the beautiful service and hospitality, Shangri la! I will be sure to be back when I visit Shanghai.

It is really a pleasant stay here! All the staff are warm hearted and really supportive! |Room is super clean with great view and the room service also really nice. |Breakfast is super in second floor in the morning. 29 floor Hao Hua Ge, the breakfast could be more diverse and delicious. I think that is the part can be improved. |Will come again for sure! |Feng

Hotel located just across the road from the IFC, coming out from the metro, not a far walk. ||As polish as usual as a Shangri-la Hotel, check in was fast, given my room not far from lift as per my request when reserving my room. ||Very hungry upon arrival and remember the usual fantastic buffet at any Shangri-la Hotel, but might be a bit late, 30 minutes before closing, food were not as impressive, yet I could still find some sashimi, ordered a warm sake, came surprisingly fast as it was from the Japanese restaurant on the same floor, thanks to the young lady waitress who walk over to the Japanese restaurant to place the order for me. ||Room is great, lots of amenities you could think of, large comfortable bed, many plugs of all sorts! ||Fantastic Christmas decorations?||Tommy Lam|Golden Circle member

This is my 2nd visit back to Shangrila Pudong and I was really looking forward to it. But unfortunately the experience was not as what I expected. So firstly the check in staff cannot speak proper English. So she could not understand that I have 2 bookings for 3 rooms. The check in time took 40 minutes…..and ultimately the check in process needs 3 staffs to do the task.. One day later, the manager called to apologize which I think is a nice gesture. The breakfast buffet has wide spread and also zillion people. If you go there after 8 am, you may need to queue. Bed is nice. Room is decent. Note : if you book the room with ‘river view’, this means river view building and NOT river view room.

Its been a wonderful experience staying in this beautiful hotel with my daughter. The service by Kenny and his team at the horizon lounge was superb and amazing. Memorable stay with my daughter. Will definitely stay in this amazing beautiful hotel on my next trip to Shanghai.
