Fish Restaurant Proto

We had dinner during autumn 🍂 (low season). They were out of the seafood tartars. Nevertheless the food was great. The olive focaccias were delicious. They have a special salt they use in the tables which is magnificent. To start we had a very good lobster 🦞 salad and a tartare which was not on the meny (beef with truffles). All great. For main we had the fish fillet which was wery well cooked and was on top of steamed veggies and potatoes. Delicious. The black seafood risotto ws a delight. For dessert we had the pear and the chocolate mousse . The mousse was particularly tasty with fleur de sel. The waiter was very knowledgeable, had the perfect recommendations, and was very attentive to my wife’s intolerances. Knew the dishes well and their ingredients. All around a magnificent experience. The restaurant decor was beautiful with the ceiling engraved with seafood theme.

We ordered a Grilled fish fillet and Cipriani tagliolini. It was the most magical combination. My husband and I shared it because it was dense in oil therefore very filling. One of the most delicious meals. We still dream about it to this day 😌

Me and my partner ate at Proto this week on our trip visiting Cavtat and Dubrovnik. We booked a table on the first floor terrace. The service, knowledge and food was outstanding and delicious. The terrace is beautifully located, above the hustle of town which was nice to get away from how busy Dubrovnik can be. We had the Lobster (tail) salad for starter followed by the Black Seafood Risotto and Seabass. Absolutely perfect and highly recommended.

Oyster is the best, highly recommended. Wine also good. Great services. Their seafood platters is great n fresh all items. We stay in Dubrovnik for 3 nights n here is the best so far.

The food was truly delicious and their service was excellent. We had fish soup, octopus salad, sea bream and black sea food risotto. All of them were moreish, so we savoured every mouthful. Moreover, the white wine (Malvasija) was really tasty.

Food here is pretty good and service was good. Staff is very friendly. Got the truffle pasta and the seafood plate for 2. They have a nice rooftop terrace.

A truly wonderful place. The fish of the day was I think the best I've ever had: fresh, moist, perfectly pan-fried and seasoned to perfection. The starters were also fantastic, sweet, plump scallops and a wonderfully rich platter of oysters au gratin. My husband had the fettuccine with shrimp and truffles for a main which was creamy and indulgent. And to top it all off they brought us a fabulous little birthday carrot cake for my husband's birthday. The service could not have been friendlier and was brilliantly efficient. We had a magical table on the terrace to enjoy the warm evening. A wonderful night.

My wife found Fish Restaurant Proto in the Michelin Guide and we made a reservation in the upper balcony in advance. The service was top notch, the lady waiter recommended a local wine based on our palate and she definitely nailed it. The food is amazing with everything cooked to perfection. 10/10!
