Our whale-watching experience with Captain Mark was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we stepped aboard, his enthusiasm and deep knowledge of marine life set the tone for an unforgettable day. Captain Mark’s expertise allowed us to get up close (while being respectful of the whales) and witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. We were lucky to see multiple whales and sea lions! Captain Mark was patient, ensuring everyone had the chance to capture the perfect photo and take in the breathtaking sights.

I recently had the pleasure of going on another unforgettable whale watching tour with Prince of Whales out of Victoria, and once again, Mark delivered an exceptional experience. This summer, I brought my kids along for their first tour, and previously I had gone with my sister. Each time, Mark has proven to be a knowledgeable, friendly, and professional guide, making every trip a memorable adventure. Mark’s expertise in finding whales is second to none. Both times, we were able to spot humpback whales and killer whales, which was absolutely breathtaking. His deep understanding of marine life, combined with his engaging storytelling, kept both the adults and kids fascinated throughout the trip. Mark always goes the extra mile to ensure everyone on board has an unforgettable experience, and his passion for what he does truly shines through. The Zodiac boat ride is exhilarating in itself, offering a thrilling and up-close encounter with the incredible wildlife. The combination of Mark’s guidance and the unique Zodiac experience makes this tour something I look forward to every time I visit Victoria. If you’re looking for the ultimate whale watching experience, you simply couldn’t ask for a better guide than Mark or a better company than Prince of Whales!

16 Sept: 11:00 am sailing - we joined captain Francois, Gord, Algebra, Michael & Reid team on the morning sailing from Victoria. The safety briefing was thorough, entertaining yet reassuring. The trip was stunning, with whale sightings, sea lions, seals & sea birds. The ecological & naturalistic information given by Algebra was so informative & interesting. Captain Francois & Gordon created the perfect voyage & a big thank you goes to them. Finally Michael & Reid completed the perfect voyage - we had experienced the perfect adventure. I absolutely recommend you take this experience- thank you team 👍

My husband and I did a Victoria excursion for my birthday last fall, and it was a terrific experience. The only thing that could have made it better was seeing orcas, but Prince of Whales doesn’t control the sea! :) They were so organized and professional, and called the day before with important reminders. Captain Richard, First Mate Sandy, and naturalists Rajan, Algebra and Reid were fantastic. I felt safe on the boat, and we learned a lot about the local ecosystem. We saw humpbacks, steller and California sea lions, and a sea otter. This was our second Prince of Whales outing and both times were a great use of our time and money. Would recommend again and again!

Amazing tour! Much more better than I expected! I saw killer whales, humpbacks, and sea lions. The ship is stable, not uncomfortable. Crews are friendly and knowledgeable. They send us nice photos of wilds lives for free after the tour. Thank you for Lindsay, Sandy, Reid, Michael, and Like! A suggestion is that could you please add simplified Chinese into digital language guide? There are quite a few good reviews on Xiaohongshu (Chinese social app). I know Prince of Whales and book a trip because I saw many recommendations in Xiaohongshu.

We had an amazing time and experience today. We saw orca whales, humpback whales and sea lions. My children will never forget this experience. It was definitely worth it! Thank you to Captain Mark for the great experience.

What a magical trip! We went out on the 1130am boat on Sunday Sept 22. The boat ride was smooth, the crew was fantastic, and we saw so many whales. One of the naturalists said it was his top 3 trip of the year! Saw more Orcas than could keep track of, some humpbacks, 100s of sea lions and seals, and an otter. The naturalists were so knowledgeable and personable. In our group of 5, 2 of them had never seen whales before and I can’t imagine a better first trip.
