"Customize Your Poutine Experience in Montreal No visit to Montreal is complete without a good poutine, preferably late at night (it is well-known among Montrealers that poutine is the best cure for a hangover). But instead of hitting the touristy Old Port joints or the busy Banquise, why not explore a new area and taste an authentic poutine at Poutineville. This no-frills neighborhood favorite is my personal favorite because, 1) it's delicious, 2) it's cheap, and 3) it has so many options you'll spend more time picking the toppings than actually eating! My go-to option: regular sauce, potato wedges, extra cheese, and frankfurter slices. You're welcome!"

10 Places for the Best Poutine in Montréal | Condé Nast Traveler

"The house specialty at this very good mini-chain is the eponymous "Poutineville": hand-crushed potatoes, fresh cheese curds, and mozzarella topped with slow-cooked braised beef and red wine gravy. A filet mignon variety, which comes with crispy fries, is topped with cubed filet, sautéed mushrooms and onions, fresh cheese curds, blue cheese, and homemade pepper gravy. If you're really feeling ambitious, Poutineville's legendary "Heart Attack," the biggest poutine in town, weighs a whopping 15 pounds." - Richard Burnett

Great place to eat! Poutine gravy was vegetarian and you can customize your poutine however you like. Our server, Emmanuel, was very professional and made sure all our needs were taken care of! Overall great food and service.

I recommend it! The place is so clean and well maintained I was really impressed. Tables, washrooms and floors are neat. And their poutines are the best! Price is reasonable and they offer plenty of topping choices. The staff is also super friendly and responsive.

Really great food and even better service. One person in our party has celiac and was guided on what they could eat as well as other recommendations! Highly recommend!

Great potential, but the cold fries tasted like they had been prepared too far in advance — they didn’t taste fresh. A poutine has 3 basic ingredients — fries, cheese curds, and gravy — miss one, and you miss it all. Maybe it was just a bad day for the kitchen. I might give it another shot eventually. The front-of-house staff was great though — super friendly and attentive. Oh yeah, the pepper gravy is a must-try!

Our waiter was SO nice! We have three young children who really enjoyed creating their poutine, and he was always warm, patient and welcoming, though we were alone outside. Highly recommend l!

Our waiter Emanuel was outstanding. Haven’t had a service like this is years. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and he was so great with my daughter. 10/10

Had my first poutine here several years ago and I did not like it. Second time having a poutine here was last night through Uber thinking maybe the first time was a one off, but again it was disappointing. Had the Grand Prix poutine which is meant to come with bacon, smoked meat, onions, cheese curds and Swiss cheese. The sauce was nothing great, I don’t like the fries because they still have skin on them, they were very cheap with the bacon and smoked meat could barely taste it, loaded with onions and I did not taste any Swiss cheese. Worst part was this awful burnt after-taste after each bite and just an overload of salt… couldn’t taste much else. Overall, really not worth 24$ for such a small poutine with minimum toppings. I’ve had hundreds of poutines and this was in my bottom three. Not worth it!
