Pousada de Lisboa, Small Luxury Hotels

Everything about this hotel is 5 star. The service is great, they clean the rooms twice a day. The location is close to touristic places and the staff is friendly. The breakfast has variety of options. They were very responsive to our requests, in our last day they got us a taxi and prepared breakfast for us. We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. We stayed here both at the beginning of our trip to portugal and at the end. The location is wonderful- within walking distance of many sights and close to public transportation. The hotel is beautiful. It is a former monastery. The public areas are very nice. The rooms we stayed in were of a nice size, spotlessly clean and with a very comfortable bed. The gift of a handpainted tile upon our arrival was a very nice touch. Breakfast was the best of any of the five hotels we stayed at during our trip. A plentiful and beautifully presented buffet with fruits, meats, cheeses, quiche, pastries, breads, etc was wonderful. In addition, they have a menu with hot entrees that you can order that are also included. Perhaps what makes this hotel stand out even more is the wonderful staff. Everyone was so warm and welcoming and helpful. The front desk staff and bellmen and the lovely servers in the restaurant in the morning- always so cheerful and welcoming. A special shout out to Lenny in the breakfast room- she was so nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Lisbon and hope to stay here again someday.

While our visit to Portugal was more than magical, the service provided from the staff at Pousada Lisboa Praca do Comercio was beyond exceptional and met every whimsical desire we had during our stay. ||Mr. Emanuel Luz who months prior to our arrival helped us plan our visit from seeing beautiful Portugal, reserving a wonderful Fado show and dinner for us to experience and private drivers who were of the best caliber, filled with knowledge of all the places we explored. Mr. Diogo Pedro ensured upon our arrival, we feasted on traditional Portuguese dishes based on his dining recommendations; other unique places to visit that were not on our list and also my wife was able to visit the jewelers so she had a special keepsake to remind her of her time once we returned to the United States. ||Recognition should be extended to Mr. Tuna Alp Celgin and the doormen who were of the upmost assistance to use during our stay at Pousada Lisboa.||they are the best staff as a representation of Pestana Properties. By the way the dining staff at the breakfast buffet and RIB restaurant also were outstanding. ||Muito Obrigado Pousada Lisboa

My second time to Lisbon but Pousada and their staff made this trip the best yet! From the moment Lionel picked us up at the airport with his big beautiful smile we felt like we were with family! We talked like old friends with him pointing out things for us to see and do and when checking in Tuna and Andre were absolutely wonderful and full of smiles and laughing at my bad jokes :) We had an absolutely incredible time and the whole staff was truly incredible! On our way back from the sauna Soraia ran up behind me to give me the cutest little flower for no reason and it made my whole day! I can't wait to return to enjoy the company of old friends and the delicious breakfast and restaurant! The location was fantastic, the rooms were fantastic, truly a 10 out of 10 but next time we will need to stay longer!

We have just returned from a four night stay at this wonderful property in celebration of my wife's 50th birthday. I wanted to make this trip as perfect as possible and finding the right hotel for us was the essential. I have only the most positive things to say about the hotel and the amazing staff, all of whom worked so hard to ensure we really did have 'The Time of Our Life'.||We had one issue after checking in as the bathroom for the room did not have an overhead shower, only a hand-held wand. There are only 2 standard rooms like this, so it is wise to specify if you need an overhead shower (though hopefully they will install a proper shower head on the upright bar that is already installed with appropriate mechanism to switch from one to the other). Having a bad knee injury this would be dangerous for me, and we were moved to another room later in the day that had a rainshower. The staff, particularly Marlene, could not have been kinder nor more helpful then and throughout the stay. In this regard the hotel shone brightly. Real genuine care, kindness and friendliness. The teams at breakfast and in the bar were equally nice and helpful. We just felt so at home.||The hotel is beautiful - very modern rooms but the public areas are so comfortable, stylish and grand. The lobby lounge with the piano was such a treat, and I have to thank Tuna, Diogo and Andre for their enthusiasm to have me play an Elton John set each night, and their very kind comments afterwards! The hotel location is perfect for the river, Baixa and Alfama districts but also to walk down to the Time Out Market. Many transportation options so getting around was so easy.||Finally, the breakfasts are excellent! A great choice on the buffet plus some a la carte items as well. Local Portuguese cheese (including Queijo de Serra, my absolute favourite), pastries, tortes, pasteis de nata and so much more. In the end we did not eat at the restaurant but we did enjoy drinks in the bar which is very atmospheric and again with a great team!||A big thank you to everyone who made us feel so welcome and valued, and particularly in ensuring my wife's 50th birthday was perfect.

Just back from a memorable weekend in Lisbon. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough. Beautiful setting and perfect location to walk almost anywhere in Lisbon. Room was lively. Bar is idyllic. Great selection and quality of breakfast. Decor is rustic, yet with modern comforts. There was a lovely hand painted tile in our room as a keepsafe which is a really nice touch. The staff were extremely friendly and always wanted to assist. Special mention to Andre at reception and Luis in the bar. Would highly recommended this hotel if visiting Lisbon. Thank you for a memorable weekend.

Excellent all around - Great staff, phenomenal rooms, breakfast, location and more. Rooms (Deluxe) was large and elegant. Bed was very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning and the attention to service was exceptional. Cannot beat the location. Walking distance to everywhere of interest. One of the best!

We stayed 3 nights at this Pousada and we were very, very happy. Location is fabulous. The room was nice, spacious, clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Breakfast was a treat. Everything simply worked. Opportunities for improvement: quality of the pillows and capacity of the aircon. In balance, we loved this hotel with all the adornments and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Lisboa.
