"This pleasant little grill and seafood bar runs at Portobello Road Market every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Which, to all intents and purposes, means: breakfast oysters. Oysters are sourced from Richard Haward’s Oysters and can be bought either freshly dressed, with toppings that range from nduja and honey to a Thai mignonette, or grilled with Irish churnmaster Abernethy’s black garlic butter and parmesan. The latter is grunt-worthy grub." - Lucas Oakeley

"Don’t be deceived by its West London locale. Notting Hill may be one of the city’s poshest neighborhoods but all that is forgotten when it comes to its outdoor flea market. Portobello Market is mainly known for its impressive collection of antiques but you can also shop for fresh food and score some unbeatable deals on clothing. I walked away with £5 dresses on more than one occasion. To get here, take the Tube to Notting Hill Gate, which is on the District, Circle, and Central lines. By Megan Eileen McDonough"

"Here, a seemingly endless row of stalls is packed with everything from antiques and china to books, furniture, and vintage clothes; in addition, there's a section where you can buy beautiful fresh produce and delicious prepared food. It gets busy on weekends, but squeezing through the crowds on this adorable old street is an essential London experience."

Fun spot, but antiques would be a stretch. There are a few shops, but most were simply tourist trap junk. It's still quite an awesome town and fun place to wander.

Definitely worth the trip. Roads were pretty to walk. Lots of choices to eat and drink in the market. Even live music was really cute. Would definitely recommend here to walk around 2-3 hours.

Great place for treasure hunters. There is always a chance to find something unique and interesting. There are antique shops mixed with selling from tents. And the shop from Paddington Bear is here too. Better to come on weekends. +spots from Love actually, Nothing Hill movies.

If you're in the area this place is worth visiting. You have a good variety of shops & street stalls selling many quirky & vintage items. Plenty of choice when it comes to eating options, I recommend the small "Honest Burger" restaurant.

A bustling and world-famous outdoor street market, which has a huge variety of stalls. Many of the stalls sell antiques, and although there is a lot of tat around, you may get lucky and find an interesting piece. Feel free to haggle with the stall holders too! This market is always very busy and tends to be full of tourists, but it's worth visiting and if ever the crowds get too much for you, you can go to one of the side streets for a bit of a breather. In addition to the many stalls, there are plenty of shops to choose from on both sides of the street in which the market is held. A great place to visit to browse, eat and enjoy the electric atmosphere!

Visited on Saturday morning (when all parts of the market are open) early, around 9.15 am, and I was able to enjoy it. Around 11am, it was full and not as enjoyable as before. It is a phenomenal market, when you can visit from antique stores (check the ones inside the galleries), vintage clothes (great selection of Barbour jackets), watches and amazing street food for everyone.

Excellent place to visit over the weekend. But it is very busy. There are lovely fruit stalls but so many other things. If the sun is shining, it was a lovely day out.
