Changed so much and great vibe! Loved walking through and milling around! Some lovely places to see.

Loved exploring this area, and the variety of shops and stalls. Even on a Monday afternoon it was busy but very enjoyable.

Cute little road, but there are plenty similar to this. Outside of the houses they have signs to not take any pictures etc. because people are going there all the time for photos and it’s annoying for their privacy. Just go somewhere else people 😂

Cool place to walk around. Try to avoid the weekends if you can. It is very touristy but still worth checking out. Loads of stalls and shops to peruse.

A lovely day trip. Easy access through public transport. A great variety of shopping; amazing restaurants. Loved the experience

Fantastic feel to this little gem. Pasta's and sandwiches were divine. Homemade everything and the staff is so personable. Put this on your places to dine in near Notting Hill.

We had a great time here. I came with my Italian friends and they mentioned that it feels quite like you're in Italy. Such a verification! We celebrated my friend's birthday and the service was amazing the whole time throughout the meal. When we ask them to add candle to the tiramisu for our friend, they did it with a smile on their face. One last note - Please get their pizza!

Nice little Italian restaurant right near Portobello Marker. It has the most idyllic setting. The outside seating area looks magical with its colored garden lights and plants- very intimate. It is the kind of place where you can dress up a bit and have special date or be casual and not feel out of place. The servers were friendly and personable and the price of the food was not bad for the location.

This was hands down the best food we have ever ate. We loved the atmosphere, too. The garlic bread is amazing! Drinks were great, too.

I love this little cafe! It was right around the corner where we were staying in London and it was perfect to just pop in for a nice cup of tea and a tiramisu. Beautiful interior and the service was excellent

Friendly servers. Food was delicious and prices were reasonable, especially in a city like London. We had pasta, but the pizza look d so good we are planning on picking one up tonight!

Amazing! First trip with the family and found this while walking Portobello road and it did not disappoint. The Antipasta appetizer was perfect and every main dish my family of 4 ate was perfect. We covered the menu- gnocchi, pizza, sandwich, and salmon. The garden feel was lovely on a cool summer day. Highly recommended!

Good food and big portions! I wish there were more kids portions available. Server was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu. We didn't get the correct drink orders but otherwise it was recommended.

Amazing all the way around! The food was excellent - we had gnocchi and a pizza and both were as good as it gets! The server was so friendly and fun that she felt like instant family. We finished with cannolis and tiramisu for dessert, as well as a splash of limoncello, and it made for our best meal in our short UK stay.

This hidden gem serves the best - crusty, fresh out of the oven - bread on the entire planet earth. Get the bread/Salumi/cheese starter and the pizza or a Greek salad and bread. Whatever you do - get the bread! Bonus points for great service and the lovely, loud, entertaining Italian family running this place. We shall be back!

Great hidden spot. Thank you Yelp for directing us here. Off the busy market but gets full quickly at lunch time. Came in few minutes before noon so pizza was not an option yet but sandwiches were awesome. Great bread, cheese, salami and mix of ingredients. If in the area and would like good food, affordable, true Italian feel...try this one.

Just to get this out of the way; Notting Hill is done. Portobello Road Market is not the amazing market that it once was and has become a tourist trap, in large part due to the film. Tourists have overtaken the place and while once there were amazing antique dealers and what not, now there are throngs of tacky tourist shops selling magnets and union jack flags. That said, I was in a conundrum as to where to eat and came here based on Yelp! reviews. I'm glad I did. At first glance it's hard to tell that there is an actual restaurant here. It almost looks like a warehouse from the outside, but once you walk through the front area, you suddenly find yourself in a Greenhouse-esque restaurant with hanging dried herbs and flowers and an eating area that can only be described as charmingly rustic. Also, the Italian boys who run this place (at least on the day I was there) seemed a little frazzled and absent-minded (maybe they were short a person?) but managed to take everyone's orders and get them right. I had a Caprese Salad to start with and followed that up with Tagliatelle with sausage and mushrooms and of course Tiramisu. all of it was fantastic and as authentic as you could get short of hopping over to Italy. I think a lot of Italian ex-pats living in London come here because I saw lots of people who seemed to be regulars and everyone was speaking in Italian. Prices are beyond reasonable and the servers here are really sweet. As soon as I paid up and left, I had inadvertently forgotten my silk scarf on my seat and one of the boys came running after me across the street to return it which was really nice of him. Given that I will probably never live in Notting Hill (houses START at the 12 million pound sterling mark) but should I one day marry a Russian oligarch and we end up here, I'd probably be eating here all the time.

This was an outstanding find with a lovely garden ambiance. Everything seems to be freshly made to perfection. We had the pappardelle pasta, white bean soup and the most incredible pizza called speck. All of the foods that passed our table looked amazing, also. I highly recommend this for lunch, which we had, or dinner. You won't leave hungry.

So cute! Stumbled into this colorful cafe during our day at the portobello rd market. Such a nice break from the crowded market. We got a few drinks and the porchetta platter and some olives as a snack. Really delicious. I loved the chill vibe and friendly staff. It had a glass roof almost like a greenhouse which made the whole cafe really bright.

I still haven't had a meal at this lovely cafe/restaurant but finally popped in for a quick cappuccino the other day. They don't compete for the early morning trade and were only just opening up when I arrived. I almost felt guilty but all staff were super friendly and the coffee one of the best I've had in ages - you can always tell the difference when an Italian operates the machine ... The place is packed out at weekends and I tend to just pop out for a sandwich during the week, but I am sure to find an excuse to return soon and spend a little longer - love the decor and overall feel, all very bright and happy.

Wonderful hidden gem in the heart of Notting Hill on Portobello Road. This unassuming little caffe is located off the street offering a quiet alternative to the more heavily trafficked eateries. Delicious food at reasonable prices. Everything we ate was very tasty and beautifully presented. Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely return!

Unbelievable. It's quite literally a hidden gem as it's not fully visible from the street. You have to walk through a vintage store to get to it, which somehow makes it more charming. The restaurant itself is in a little greenhouse-type place with lots of natural light and natural decorations. The food here is authentically Italian. We could see the chef making our meals from where we were sitting, which was cool to see, and during our meal he came over to ask if we liked our food. We got paninis which were bursting with flavor, and a really great smoked salmon appetizer. My only regret is that we didn't go more than once during our visit.

This is a hidden gem! Casual and fun. The food was fabulously fresh and delicious. The wine and beer was cold and reasonable. The waitstaff friendly and efficient. Our waiter was so sweet and genuine in his recommendations and conversation. The porchetta sandwich was delicious and the tomato and basil bruschetta divine. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Was traveling solo in London and came here on a recommendation from someone who had eaten here a few years ago. I'm so happy I did! I walked in on my own at an off-peak time, around 3 pm on a Thursday. It's so lovely inside! Sort of like a greenhouse, with lots of light and plants hanging around. Part of the kitchen is open to the dining room as well. There were a few tables seated. I was looking for a light meal, and ordered pomodoro e basilico bruschettona, and the zuppa del giorno. They also brought be a small piece of some sort of veggie pie to start - sort of like a zucchini quiche? I ended up cancelling the soup, as the bruschettona was huge and so filling! The tomatoes were super fresh and wonderfully seasoned, and the bread was rustic and delicious. I wish I could have tried the soup - I'd like to go back here when I hopefully return to London. I was asked after if I'd like to order dessert and I said I would love to but was too full, but he brought me a small sample of I think a biscotti. It was a bit burnt, but the parts that weren't were pretty good - I'm not a big fan of biscotti, but it was a nice gesture. Highly recommend this place based on my limited experience!

If you're ever in notting hill this is the place to eat. Two beautiful Italian ladies run this place and the make some of the most delicious Italian dishes right in front of you. Gorgeous and quaint setting I couldn't ask for more out of a restaurant. It's kinda hidden behind the clothing stores so just look carefully for it. Must go!!!!

Amazing portions and v affordable - felt like we won the lottery by finding a 4 seat table available in the crush of lunch. Service is friendly though a bit absent minded (we asked for water twice before it finally came), and food was prepared in front of us and so we knew well just how fresh the prosciutto and veg was. Great vibe, lots of character and a cozy respite from the bustle of Portobello market.

Can't recommend enough. Great food made with fresh ingredients. Everyone was super friendly and you could see they took great pride in their food. My husband had lasagna and I had chicken Milanese. Very delicious. Would have gone back for another meal but no time.

Incredible.... Best meal we've had in London yet....pic of my dinner... Paccheri Quattro Formaggi Tarturo.... Pacherri filled with 4 cheese, truffle cream, served with tomato, ruccola, & truffle flakes. My daughter is in Rome Italy at the very same moment... She'd be jealous..... Owner and staff are very friendly and love what they do.. Great small room with beautiful ambiance.

The best half-hidden gem I've found since moving to North West London. Fantastically fresh and generous amounts of food, very friendly staff, lovely, welcoming and light dining area. Will be returning asap to privately hire. Massive thumbs up!

We stopped by Portobello Garden Cafe back in May, and Ive been meaning to write a review. We were only in London for a couple of days. I ordered Lasagna and it was the best I have ever had, and perfect portion size. I am not normally a fan of Tiramisu but the manager recommended it, and it was one of the best desserts I have ever had. The manager was very nice, and gave my wife and I free Limoncello shots. Its a nice atmosphere and very casual, the staff are all quite friendly, and very Italian! We live in California now, but I always send friends visiting London here.

The gnocchi with bufalo mozzarella was fantastic. Small, family owned restaurant. Very reasonable prices for the neighborhood. Three generations of family working. Small details are there, and great atmosphere. Daughter was playing music from her phone so some fun tunes came on.

Very charming, rustic gem of a cafe off portobello road with what looks to be good Italian casual food. I was still full from breakfast so I just had a glass of montepulciano, but perusing the menu, everything looked good and was very reasonably priced (most starters, salads and paninis were well under £10. The server was incredibly welcoming and attentive too! Wish I had more time to come back and try the food.

Stumbled upon this while walking in the Notting Hill neighborhood. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was an absolute delight! An experience as close (I can imagine) to being in Italy as one might wish. Speed of service was a little relaxed, but still a terrific meal. Would absolutely make a point to go back if I am ever in London again.

Amazing place! The decor is typical Italian style and food is fresh from Sicily, very quaint and cozy. The service was very accomodating and friendly. A must see for if you're ever in portobello road! :D

Excellent italian food. Just happened upon this cozy hidden gem for lunch with my parents. Not the fastest service but the food was worth waiting for. Beautiful ingredients (amazing tomatoes from Italy) and everything was freshly prepared with finesse and authenticity .. I can see why there are so many Italians in there. We were especially happy with the burrata dish (yum), the tomato salad, and the grilled vegetables with cheese bruschetta.

I was delighted to see this little gem open in Portobello Road. The staff are super friendly, the food was fresh and authentic. A fabulous Italian Deli. This place is hidden at the back of an indoor market selling all sorts of beautiful jewellery and clothing. Check it out!

Great little family run italian spot. We went for late lunch. Still packed at 1:30. fantastic paninis... ham/cheese and a roast pork/veggie... both very delicious. will go back again.

I love this place! The parmigiana is great, and they do a truffle pasta which is incredible.

Food was passable, but potentially the worst service ever. Wine was delayed. Meals were served fifteen minutes apart. Food looked great, but lacked any real flavor.

This was our best meal while visiting London and we nearly missed it as it sits well off the street in an unassuming building. Dried meats and wheels of cheese sit on shelves and hanging overhead as they do in Spain or Italy. A little prosciutto, a bit of morto, some Parmesan, grilled veggies piled high to gnosh followed by fresh pasta and plenty of wine. We were there late on a Saturday and every seat was filled. Family owned and run; a little Italian helps if you have it.

Fantastic find! Beautiful handmade and painted lamps - cushions - bags - jewelry - After shopping I had the most lovely authentic Italian food, I even had a sound healing to leave me floating with a tranquil smile on my face!. Portobello Garden Arcade has to be the best spot on the road..definitely a must visit. Freindly atmosphere too :-)
