This was our first visit to Polite Society for brunch. We were celebrating a birthday. The service was attentive and polite as you may expect. Two people ordered the bottomless mimosas which didn't seem to taste like they had much orange juice. Two of us ordered the vegetable omelet. The portions are large. The potatoes were really good but the omelet lacked flavor...even with grilled vegetables inside. The cold brew coffee was definitely strong but the taste was "off". One person ordered the chicken and waffles which seemed to have the best flavor of any of our selections. I think the service was the best of anything considering we had a party of six. The atmosphere is pleasant. Overall we enjoyed the experience of trying something new.

Wow!! Perfect date night! Upstairs dining was intimate and casual. Thank you Nick for the fabulous service with a great smile! We were impressed with your scotch details! Loved the sea scallops and John loved the Osso Bruscco pork and our friends had the sirloin! Appetizer lamb meatballs were wonderful. Delightful dinner with superb ambience! Convenient location and free street parking.

Incredible food, patient and helpful service and a cozy atmosphere made for the perfect dinner experience! Bailey answered all of our questions and gave the best suggestions! The acorn squash appetizer had a lovely balance of flavors, and the shrimp & grits app was a large enough portion to enjoy for a main meal! The scallops were divine and had a beautiful combination of flavors (garlic heavy but not overwhelming!). The parsnip purée was such a great pairing with the sauce.

Took my daughter here for brunch and wasn't disappointed. Reservations recommended. Very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately came to late for the bottomless mimosas but the food was great. I love a good breakfast burrito and it was bigger than I was expecting. I have to come back and try some other items on the menu.

It's rare that a restaurant hits fully on every single dish. This is one of those experiences where everything was so good I couldn't pick one dish over another. Yes. It's that good.
The deviled eggs with pan fried capers... amazing.
Salt Roasted Beets with fennel and apple... wow.
Roasted Rabbit with Acorn Squash and Mushrooms... just so good.
Seared Scallops... will definitely be back for more.
Cheech cocktail with mezcal and amaro... wonderful smoky bitters cocktail.
We then asked for a similar cocktail and got one the bartender made up there that was smoky bitter and mildly chocolatey. Yum.
Fantastic service. Cozy beautiful atmosphere in an old building across from the park.
Easily one of the best restaurants in St Louis.

Great place with great service and ambience. Reservation recommended and slightly on the pricier side. The shrimp with grits was good, but the highlight was the salmon - super yummy. Highly recommended if you need a fine dine experience while in STL. Whether you are a solo tourist or planning for a small group catch up with friends or for a date, this place would suit everyone. If there’s one area to improve that would be the selection of beers on tap, would love to see more variety vs the usual cans.

I wish I could really put this place in to words. This shrimp & grits went so crazy. I’m from Springfield and was in stl for the weekend, but I genuinely would consider driving the 6-7 hours round trip to eat this again. What a treat. I think I shed a tear.

The food here is amazing. The carpaccio is solid and the crispy broccolini is perfectly seasoned. Both great appetizers. Osso buco was beautiful and the Bistro Steak cooked to perfection. Great specialty cocktails.
