We had a 2pm tour with Des and when I tell you, you will be in great hands you WILL be in great hands. She knows not only the history and so many small details but she's funny, personal and sweet! Great recommendations to an amazing restaurant after and little secret places to get souvenirs and great ice cream. Wish we were able to tip her but we had to split and we don't carry cash. The staff in the center were also super nice as I called them about 4 times for different questions. Each time they were very sweet and helpful. Just all around amazing 👏

This is probably my favorite of all the squares in San Juan. There is a relaxing energy that lets you take a few minutes to rest and recover from the day. I bought a piragua (shaved ice) and sat enjoying the fountain, and watching the people go by. It's the kind of place where if you sit quietly and contemplate the beauty of life.

It is a beautiful square at the core of Old San Juan to sit down and enjoy the time with pigeons. There are a few fast food restaurants, cafe shops and gift stores to get food and walk around.

The Plaza de Armas of San Juan is one of the main squares in San Juan, which was designed to serve as the original main square for the city. it dates back to Spanish colonial times, One side of the plaza, you'll find San Juan's official town hall building, and on another the Puerto Rico Department of State. like any famous square, street performances, local food stalls, everything is here. To better enjoy the Plaza de Armas, grab a coffee and a Puerto Rican pastry from any of the local spots and grab a sit in any of the public benches. also, you won't find wendy in the new avatar anywhere else.

All the plazas in Old San Juan have their own flare. The photos I shared here are from La Fiesta de La Calle San Sebastian 2019 where there were multiple phenomenal live bands all day and evening! Discover Puerto Rico, it's definitely a beautiful wonderful magical place to experience! The people, the culture, and the general vibe is warm, friendly, and fun-loving! I spent couple hours in the afternoon here. It was great with live salsa music. Watching the little kids chasing the pigeons and beautiful colors of the buildings. What a way to spend the afternoon in Old San Juan.....

Great place to rest. Very safe (policia near) and clean (dedicated serviceman). A few solicitations from poor. Pigeons abound, fountain not on when we visited, easy to stop, shop, find some shade or food, geocache. Pleasant location
