How to best describe this place. Women, girls and hipsters all love this place in North Park. Ok guys love it too. It makes shopping for the women and girls easier. The energy is always positive because of all the plants such an amazing selection of air plants and potted plants. The stuff that they sell is curated well from things you would not see at department store chains. This is definitely a boutique, 3000 ft.² shaped like a square is the area where they have transformed the space into a shopping destination for those who are looking for things that are not easily found. A great place to go gift shopping it’s dog friendly and they rarely have sales because their prices are reasonable. Highly recommend visiting the spot if you’re in North Park San Diego and want to see something cool you haven’t seen before.

Nice shop. Lots of rare finds that are on trend. They have a large assortment of cactus and succulents for cactus lovers. They have a photo booth available on site too. Would recommend visiting if in the neighbourhood.

Love, laugh, love! This store has something for everyone! Plants, piña colada feminine wipes and children's toys! WOW! Watch out Nordstrom! I stopped in to get batteries and ended up walking out with two bags worth of goodies! I was helped by a wonderful pregnant (possibly teenager) associate named Asslee (sp?)! She was so helpful and let me know all about this new store! I will be back soon for the hydrating hand mask! - Clee Torres P.S. Bonus points for the store being female owned (boo men!)! The store itself is gorgeous and has a lot of cute stuff, pricy but cute. On the other hand the service was terrible and I felt racially persecuted as a mexican woman of color. Although this incident could have nothing to do with the color of my skin or appearance, I think it is important to note that the worker making me uncomfortable was white and there were other white shoppers who did not receive the same treatment as me. I was very upset with the way I was treated at this store, the lady organizing the store kept looking and following me, as if I was going to steal something. I was trying on the jellycat keychains on my purse to decide which one I wanted and she did not leave my vicinity, as if I was going to run off with it. I then went to a corner of the store where there were sunglasses and began trying on the sunglasses and she did not stop staring at me. I felt very uncomfortable and what she did was not right. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with the treatment and service at this location.

I stumbled upon Pigment the other day and I was so glad that I did! Upon entrance, I felt as if I was immediately sucked in. Each room was full of little trinkets and was so fun to explore. I especially loved the Jellycat section and seeing all the succulent vases. Everything is organized beautifully and easy to sift through. The workers were also so uplifting and helpful! The store simply made my day. I walked out with a Jellycat bunny keychain and to my surprise, the item was sold for the same price that the original company has listed. I felt like I found such a steal! The next time I find myself at Liberty Station, I will stop by Pigment again. If I wasn't on a time crunch that day, I honestly could have spent hours in there! Parking: Limited parking but so worth to check the store out. I was able to find 30-minute street parking.

Initially seems like a cute and stylish store but every plant I have ever bought from them has been infested. We are so disappointed and had to throw away two plants due to spider mite infestations. Truly disappointed and so much headache!!!!!! Would not recommend. Have heard from other people as well that they had the same issue

I love Pigment, this is the first location I've ever been to and I always find such a fun things for myself and gifts for others. Since North Park is so friendly there are always pups in shop and they have started carrying dog accessories, I definitely have to buy one of their iridescent bag holder, it's so cute. When I first started shopping here they put me on their Pigment email list and I accumulated enough points to get $10 off which I used on a pair of sunglasses. The prices are super fair, the sunnies I normal get are under $20 and they definitely have candles and other accessories for under $50. Again this is the best place for gift giving, plus they have such fun cards!

I got my plants replanted here and Rosa was so awesome at helping. I got nursery pots from them and it was hands on for me to replant my greens. She was so kind and helpful with soil+fertilizer and sticks to keep them up! Also how cute are the pots. The pots were reasonable prices. Definitely will come here again (-:

This location can be difficult to find parking for, but it is totally worth it to stop by when you're in the area. They have beautifully curated items for plant lovers. But they also have a great selection of clothing, accessories, decor and gifts. The staff is always super friendly and don't bug you too much. The prices can be a high for clothing items, but most things in here are are a great price. Their plant selection is made up of beautiful, healthy plants.

Omg the cutest store! Every girls dream and the aesthetic is it! They apparently change out their merchandise every season. They have tons of plants and you can buy them or create your own little pot or glass decor of them. Many cute items from baby clothes, women's clothing, jewelry, sunglasses, booked, items for birthday gifts! Store is very clean and organized. Seems to be a big hit. Only thing is that it's very pricey in there!

Come on a Wednesday and stay a while with the farmers market! LOVE THIS STORE! I've been a customer for about 6 years now. Do I come regularly? No but I do make a special trip when I'm hungry for new plants. Essentially that's my whole purpose for going. They have a waive range of different variety of plants, and it's probably one of the very few stores that carries so many different kinds of air plants. Their plants are also very healthy and I've successfully been able to have them for years and years. Their customer service is always on point, location is great! They have all kinds of cute pots, and other decor. As well as a kids section with adorable toys and stuffed animals. When we started coming I'd bring my kids and they'd make their own little succulent pots as they have a station where you can make your own arrangements with the plants of your choice. Totally totally recommend!

The most aesthetic store i've ever been to. I think i could stand in there for hours just looking at the organization. They have an absolute wide range of products by color throughout the store. They range from children's clothes and accessories to cook books, adult clothing, and even plants. the staff is very friendly but allows you to go around the store unbothered in the best way possible. Will be coming back most likely for the jewelry with the beautiful options at a great price!

I love this spot! I could spend quite a bit of time browsing and looking at everything. They are a bit pricy, but they have excellent stuff to build the cutest little gifts for someone. From plants, to jewelry, to self-care items, to just fun trinkets. This Pigment is my favorite for the customer service everyone is so friendly and helpful. Th parking is a little rough, but anyone going to North Park knows that this may need a little extra time. The Pigment in Liberty Station is also nice. It's larger and has more stuff, but if I had to choose based on service, North Park is my spot.

Cute store with such a variety of items including succulents, clothing, decor, and novelty gifts. Much of the merch comes from San Diego-based brands and vendors. I've been to this location and the one in Point Loma numerous times. My recent visits had me looking for gifts for a friend overseas and then getting something for myself. For my friend, I purchased a beautifully crafted San Diego hat and a Mini Memos stationary to add to the box of gifts I'm sending her. A couple of days later, I came back to purchase a water bottle for myself. It reads, "Don't Let Idiots Ruin Your Day." A bit of shopping therapy after a food vendor employee at our county fair was horribly rude to me over the weekend. Absolutely uncalled for behavior. Just nasty. So getting this water bottle cheered me up, knowing that I'll be sipping on this positive mantra. The staff at Pigment is the complete opposite of what I encountered at the fair this year. They are friendly, welcoming, aware, and customer service-minded. I appreciate their positivity, and I know where to go when I need cool gifts for others and myself.

I could get lost in this store for hours. It's pricey but a wonderful shop to explore with a friend while strolling around town. Everything is color coded there with cute little trinkets, gift worthy items like cards and candles, plants and planters, books and accessories. Docked a star because everything is overpriced like the smol plant in my photo was $14, but otherwise loved looking around and would come again!

One thing this pandemic introduced me to is becoming a plant lover and Mama. Thanks to fellow/friend Terri C. she introduced me to this cute and fun store. Pigment is a home goods store where you will good quality gifts, live plants, pots, t-shirts, buttons, and other unique items. This was my first visit here and I just fell in love with so many items. I ended up purchasing two pots for two of my plants that needed to be transplanted, a silk pillowcase and a gift for a friend. So many choices for plant pots in terms of size and color. I considered purchasing a couple more plants but I just wasn't sure how well they would travel back to our dry desert. This gives me another reason to return. The store is easy to find and sits on a corner. It is large and they usually have the big door open so you get the feeling of being in a nursery yet you have a roof over your head. There are a couple other locations in SD but I like this one best. The location is in the heart of the city. Service was friendly and helpful. All of my items were wrapped and packed to travel which I appreciate. If you are a plant lover like me, add this store on the places you visit next time you are in SD.

so i was next door getting coffee when i saw the succulents. ive never been to this area before. this store just has stuff everywhere you turn. stuff for everyone men/women/babies. great gift ideas. i couldnt leave without my taylor candle!! i love their card section but i dont really give cards. i saw on yelp they have other locations. ill def be back everytime i come to sd. worker was nice, funny etc. i huess they have a rewards program. cool!

This plant store is so pretty. The natural sunlight comes in and everything is so beautifully arranged. Colors of pink and green compliment the store with a variety of plants and succulents. It's really fun to browse the different items, from ones that are cute keychains, fluffy bunny plushies, garden equipment, and the succulent wall. There were also a variety of candles which I was tempted to purchase. In the section next to the succulent wall, there was a build your own mini garden area!!! which I really wanted to do, but had no time that day. So I definitely want to come back to try it with some friends :) I do think the items they sell can be pricey, but it's a nice store to browse and would def recommend taking a look while you're in North Park.

Such an aesthetically pleasing shop here in North Park! There are countless things to look at, everywhere you look. Their collection of succulents and plants throughout the shop is really cool and keeps the space feeling really fresh. Though they have lots of plants, they also have plenty of things for the house, decorations, clothing, books, jewelry, stickers etc. The staff was really friendly and checked in with us multiple times to see if we needed help looking for anything or if we were having a good time visiting the store. We really appreciated the engagement, and it furthered helped us have a great experience. We ended up snagging a few stickers and a poetry book, but we will be back again soon to get some plants to spruce up our apartment!

The store is beautiful and full of great stuff! I absolutely love the aesthetic. All their products seem good quality, but are a little pricey. I had a blast doing their build your own garden center. They allow you to choose any cacti and pot, then you get to organ them how you like! This one pictures was $40 for the pot and plants all together. They provide soil and sand, you just pay for the pot and plants. It was a fun experience!

This is the first boutique I stepped into when I first moved to San Diego. I was blown away but the curated decor and all the boho vibes. I want everything in here! I love the aesthetics in this store and it makes me super happy! It makes it even better that the employees are so friendly and happy! Such a cute little shop in North Park - full of plants, unique gifts, fun accessories, and even some clothing. My coworker had recommended this spot and I'm so glad I dropped by. We came the Friday before Labor Day weekend and the shop wasn't crowded at all. I ended up purchasing a woven produce bag in a beautiful forest green color ($10.95). In my opinion, the prices were super reasonable for a boutique type shop like this. I can definitely see myself coming here in the future to spend time browsing and discovering more cute gifts!

I purchased 8 dog ornaments from Pigment in honor for my Grandmother who passed and I mentioned to Pigment that it was very time sensitive so I paid for the fastest shipping I could get. I kindly asked that they mail them as soon as they can and they immediately responded and were so kind with their message to me. They shipped them out that day and I received them SO fast! The ornaments are absolutely adorable and my family loves them. They are great quality and will look amazing on our Christmas trees. I will definitely purchase more items from Pigment due to their amazing customer service and adorable products!

A bit pricey but that's not atypical of the location. Definitely can get better prices elsewhere but all the plants looked very healthy and well taken care of... With that said, between the location, healthy plants it wasn't really overpriced.

Pigment is such a perfect combo for houseplant lovers. While they have a good chunk of houseplants (and succulents!) in their store, they also have pots, greeting cards, clothes, bags, accessories, and more. This North Park location is one of the few locations that I've been to. I will admit cost is definitely more expensive here compared to other plant shops in SD, but I do find the more rare plants here. COVID Safety: I've been to this location at least 5x during COVID and I can attest that all staff wear masks, customers are required to wear masks, and people capacity is limited in the store to accommodate social distancing. As for parking, there's no designated free parking lot nearby but there are street parking and a parking structure across the street. This is located in a busier part of North Park so it can get crowded around the area.

I love this store! It has everything you need! The plants are so cute too! I have a green thumb and of course I asked the plant preparers if they had scraps I can take for propagation! They gave me 5 mini plants of my own choosing! This place is incredible and the staff are professional as they are kind. This is exactly what our city needs! Thank you so much for existing!

So, I came here sort of on a whim, just passing by with a friend on the way to the bookstore down the way, but I'm so glad I stopped in. I didn't actually buy anything while I was there, but I did take a pretty good look around and I really enjoyed the way the store was set up, and some of the stuff they had on display. They had a bunch of plants, decor, books, and all kinds of stuff. They also have some clothes, candles, and other trinkets and such that are all very cool and cute and lots of them would make perfect gifts! I wish I would not have been moving out of state around the time that I happened upon this spot, but I would definitely recommend it!

Anyone interested in how to curate product for a store should take the lead from Pigment. Each section of the store has a carefully chosen color palette allowing the eye to view the products in interesting and unique ways. For example, instead of just selling hats and putting them all in the same area, this store put the hats throughout the store varying by color and mood. A great place to pick up a gift for your best friend, your mom or that coworker who's hard to buy for. Don't miss the large card wall on your way out!

LOVE this cute spot in North Park! It was my first stop in and I ended up with the cutest trendy crop Sherpa jacket and few unique Christmas ornaments as gifts. There were so many options from clothes, candles, gifts, accessories, books, interior decor. So many cute boho items!! Also the employee at the front today, I think her name was Tess (maybe Tessa?) was so friendly and helpful. This review is solely based on email interactions with Alex. I had a few questions about succulents & a pot... I emailed Pigment & Alex responded almost immediately. We went back and forth a few times and each time the response was sweet, my questions were well answered and each time, only minutes went by before I received a response back. I'm not a regular aunt. I'm a cool aunt. The pandemic turned me to a stay at home plant mom- third time aunt. Let me just say... if I want plants, planters, stationary, accessories or cute miscellaneous baby things for my toddler niece, I will find something here. I come all the way from LA for this. Am I crazy? Maybe. One of their planter artisans is Latina (Mexican American) AND that is what sold me. If they can support my people, they can take my money. All of it!

One woman smiled at me, but the rest of the staff were just not friendly and a bit pretentious. How hard is it to be kind to people especially if they're buying something?

Wow wow wow- this store is probably one of the most aesthetically pleasing establishments I've ever wandered into. The boho vibes were ON POINT. If money was no object I could've easily bought everything in this store. Such a perfect place to find a gift or to treat yourself to a little something.
