"Last but not least, if you like chocolate (scientifically asking for a friend how it's even possible that some people don't), boutique Belgian chocolatier Pierre Marcolini's flagship on Marylebone High Street is obligatory."

I asked for some pure dark chocolate with no additives - just cacao beans and sugar. They recommended a box and said it had pure dark chocolate, I bought two boxes. The boxes actually contained chocolate with a lot of random ingredients including nuts. It was not at all pure dark chocolate that I was looking for. Very disappointing to lose £100 this way. This is akin to fraud/scam. I wonder if employees get commissions for sales made. Edit: they’ve replied to the Google review, providing an email; I’ve sent them more details after being asked; they’ve not followed up since.

The place was pretty but no there is no seat. It looks like they are famous with the chocolate but we tried the ice cream Mango flavour was so nice🥭 they put the chocolate on the top. It gave crispy texture and went well with mango flavour. Yummy!

Just a quick review, I visited this place yesterday (saturday) As I stroll around Marylebone village, Their Christmas display attracted me. It was busy when I came, but the sales did not disappoint me as they reassure everyone will be served, it just takes some time, PLUS points on the lovely chocolates and macaroons!!! Worth the pay, Luxury it is and my family loved it!! From the chocolates i loved the pralines and decovuerte. The packaging, their cute bags!! Boxes!! And Christmas collection I bought the advent calendar, The atmosphere is nice except that there are no music, lovely displays and the cleanliness. And the seating area outside tiny but it's okay. Shout out to the staff/sales who is very friendly, approachable and helpful, I don't know their names, I can feel their hardwork in this Job. This place deserves a 5 stars, my experience was above and beyond.

Polite assistant explained flavour options . Cake was not fresh , one could barely discern the crème brûlée flavour . The base was horribly stale and chewy - in the way pre-made defrosted things are . Outrageously overpriced for a meh , clearly *not *freshly made artisanal product that is more showy form than substance .

Came across this place on accident but was not disappointed. You have to buy their boxes to try everything but so far we have not been left down. We are eating these alongside the top rated chocolate from Scotland and Germany and these hold their own. Definitely recommend.

This is visually a stunning treat for the eyes before you even get to try the wonderful delights in store. The decor is as though your walking into someone’s beautiful wedding with ivory and pastel shades that give you an immediate sense of calm and meditation. Then there is the extreme excitement of all of the wonderful colored pastries and chocolates the choice is endless and the staff are so professional in taking time to explain the finer points of each item. There is s chance to sample some of the chocolate, and you will soon realize that you are dealing with some of the highest quality of product available in the UK. The cakes are magnificent, I bought a chocolate cherry square that was other worldly with its fresh cherry filling and complex textures, your are eating art. The macaroons are simply delectable, fresh moist dense and cleverly flavored they give you a real sense of the authentic and teach you the difference between meringue and real macaroon craftsmanship. If your in the area you have to stop by to educate your palette, if your not in the area fly in, drive in, boat in what ever it takes you have to experience chocolate as it should be.

They were the best macaroons I had in London. They were so fresh and not overly sweet. All the flavours were great but my favs are the one with pistachio and hazelnut.

Pierre Marcolini, a Belgian chocolatier, is one of my favourite chocolatiers. I first bought some chocolates from his boutique at St. Honoré, Paris, France when on a chocolate tour. He takes pride in sourcing the best cocoa beans and, more importantly, paying the farmers a fair wage for their labour. You can always find new types of chocolates in his boutique.

Yelp
I have an intense love of financiers, so when I spotted financiers here I had to try them. I'm so glad I did because the ones I've had before (that led to my love of them) ultimately paled in comparison to the ones I had her. I purchased the caramel, framboise, and chocolate ones. Normally I wouldn't have gotten the chocolate one (it had mini chocolate chips) just because I didn't think the texture you work well, but because it is a chocolatier it made sense to at least try it. Ultimately, I do think the caramel and framboise options were the winners. They were delicious and moist and just beautiful. Don't get me wrong: I would never turn down the chocolate one, but when I go back I'll be going for the options (and possibly trying new ones).

Yelp
This review is just for the eclairs - they are the best eclairs I've had in my life and I've even eaten eclairs in France where I normally live. The quality of the ingredients and chocolate are exquisite, but the downside (where I took off a star) is that they are on the small side and they are expensive at £5 each. They also sell a variety of chocolates (9 piece boxes, 16 piece boxes, beautiful heart chocolates, or by the unit. You can buy macarons in traditional flavors but my favorite macaron place in the world is Pierre Herme and they have more unique flavors there. We tried the chocolate eclair and the hazelnut one. Neither was overly sweet - it was just right. The texture of the cream was perfect too - it was airy, light, tasted fresh and not artificial, and was not too sweet. The bread part at the bottom was firm - not too hard, not too soft, and not spongy. The chocolate one had a raspberry/chocolate topping with gold flakes and it was just perfect. The hazelnut one was really unique, as I had never had a hazelnut eclair before but I love hazelnut anything. There were little pieces of actual hazelnut, the hazelnut cream was perfect and not artificial-tasting, and there was this powdered sugar crunchy thing on top. The hazelnut was a bit messy to eat/share, since the topping part was harder to break apart, but every bite was amazing. I'd definitely come back here again to eat eclairs. Note that if you want to eat here, they don't really have spoons suitable for eating/sharing - it's more like a small spoon to stir coffee. There's one table outside where you can sit and eat, but there's no seating inside, so don't expect a place where you can hang out and drink tea/coffee and eat your eclair. The eclairs here are fantastic, we came at the end of the day so they didn't have many flavours left, but they typically also have vanilla, salted caramel, and I'm sure a few others that escape my memory (I asked one of the staff what other flavours they typically have). I've overused the word "perfect" in this review, so just go here and eat some eclairs and maybe some chocolates too. I had a praline little egg and it was fantastic, but the eclairs were like nothing I'd ever have. Minus one star for the price, but I guess it's relatively cheap next to all the other expensive stores in Marylebone. Worth the splurge every once in a while and I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Pierre Marcolini calls his enterprise Haute Chocolaterie, his store - Boutique and 'Marylebone' he pronounces 'Marie la Beaune'. Having tried his creations I can say all of the above is justified. The venue on Marylebone High St does indeed resemble a fashion salon with the understated décor focusing attention on what it is all about. And it is indeed about the high art of chocolate making. Each product is carefully displayed allowing to appreciate the artful quality of presentation. To appreciate the quality and justify the price one really needs to slow down and engage in the experience. The flavours are subtle, multi-layered and complex making for a really interesting dessert. Having tried the Envol Single cake, the Eclair and a couple of others I see no point in describing them, really. What I will say is that each piece is a little adventure that is much better experienced than told.

Yelp
The lady working here was very sweet and lovely. Lots to choose from, however, I settled for a rose wayer macaron Which was very flavourful. Reasonably priced.

Yelp
As with many premium stores, you pay a lot for small pieces-- but the flavors are so complex and intense, even a tiny piece of chocolate here is satisfying and well worth the money. Macarons are my favorite, but the chocolates and ice cream are very good as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and obviously proud of their wares. Definitely worth a splurge.
