Known for heartfelt and gif-punctuated newsletters, the company will return to offering pies through that email, known as The Pie Loop. "The bakery’s owners say it will open this spring. Up until now, Pie & Mighty was a highly sought after pie subscription service run out of a church basement in the Longfellow neighborhood. Now, owners Ratchet Mattison and Rachel Swan say that there will be pie, whole pies, freshly baked and sold outside of the new storefront at 3553 Chicago Avenue in South Minneapolis with a twirling little pie case and everything. Swan confirmed that the new shop will serve a rotating selection flavors and at least one variation of their “angel” pie. The angel pie is a family recipe of Swan’s, baked into a light and crispy meringue shell that just happens to be gluten-free." - Joy Summers

I'm seriously in love. I'm a huge pie fan and Pie and Mighty has some of the best pie I've ever tasted. It was worth every bite and then some. Definitely get in their pie lottery or stop by for a slice of pie.

I was delightedly reading the weekly “Pie Loop” email for months before we tried any actual pie. I believe it was our third entry into the pie lottery that “won” us this beauty pictured below. I think the lottery system makes the pie taste better than if Pie & Mighty operated as a “standard” bakery where you could just pop by any time to pick up a pie on a whim. There’s a lot of anticipation and excitement mixed in to the process of obtaining a pie. My family can’t wait to “win the lottery” again. My 9 year old daughter was confused that we had to pay for the pie because that doesn’t fit her definition of a lottery, but our adorable Li’l Key Lime was worth every penny! Thank you Pie & Mighty for being such an awesome addition to our neighborhood! (FYI readers, Jakeenos shares a wall with Pie&Mighty, their pizza is fantastic!)

I lucked out big time and got two of their Apple Cranberry Pecan Crumble pies for Thanksgiving. This was the best pie I have ever had. Like, life changing good. I'm not a huge pie person and these were just heaven.

I’ve been told about the key lime pie from Pie & Mighty, and words don’t do this pie justice. To truly understand, one must see the look on another’s face when they take their first bite and experience the pure bliss that is cleaning off your first forkful of love and joy that comprise this dessert. I’m hooked on these pies! For anybody struggling to decide if you should try Pie & Mighty - you do you, just know that your tastebuds will appreciate you more if you eat a slice (or several) of their pies. :)

Wow!! Such a lovely shop/staff and PHENOMENAL pie. Definitely lives up to the hype. We got slices of cherry and key lime pie, and a peach blueberry dandy pie. All three were among the best pie I've ever had!

Great pies if you happen to get lucky in their lottery. If you don't, they're still great but you're only chance is a slice when they are open for pickup. Always a new pie to try and simply the best signature crust I've found!

The pie is delicious. Their gluten free crust is amazing. Gluten free is for sale by the slice on Saturday usually. It is some of the best fruit pie I've ever found. Also though not gluten free the dandy hand pies are delicious and also available on Saturday usually.

This is the tastiest pie with the freshest ingredients and most delectable crust I have ever had in my life. I would wait in line any day to experience this taste of heaven. It is painstakingly made with love by women who take the time to share motivating thoughts with their community. I'll keep coming back here always, I love it that much.
