"With its short, seasonal menu, and its no-frills neighborhood vibe, Picture is made for return visits. Tucked away in Fitzrovia, with an incredibly affordable set lunch and dinner, this beautifully clean, slightly industrial space is as welcoming for a full meal as it is for a quick snack or drink any time of day. An added bonus is that their worldly wine list is fantastic and equally wallet friendly. The Fitzrovia concept was so successful that they now have an equally neighborhood-y sister restaurant in Marylebone. "

"Picture, Fitzrovia. Halfway up Great Portland Street at 110, a short walk from Oxford Circus, is modern British-European restaurant, Picture. An independent, neighbourhood favourite within a compact, modern space. The inviting bar is a good spot to grab a locally distilled gin before enjoying an a-la-carte menu of small sharing plates of ingredient-led British fare."

Reasonably priced good quality food, with friendly and attentive staff. We had their 5th birthday 5 course menu with a cocktail. All the food was good, highlights being the gazpacho starter, beef fillet main and dark chocolate mousse dessert. It was good value overall, and would definitely recommend for a good quality meal with good service at a reasonable price.

Had the vegetarian tasting menu. Fine dining food in a relaxed and relatively casual environment. The welcome could be a bit more hands-on, such as helping my wife with her umbrella or offering to take our coats. I had specified when i booked that it was our wedding anniversary and expected a little personal touch at some point as other restsurants have done in the past, but nothing happened whicb was slightly disappointing. The service wasn't the best, forgot to launch our next dish a couple of times but they kindly made up for it with a gesture on the bill which was appreciated. Not the best vegetarian food we've had, not a real experience of flavours but still nice food, nicely presented on the plates.

Superb food, great service. Such well put together plates, and great flavour and texture combinations. Ever changing menu with a large range of wines and delicious cocktails. Lovely touch of being seved a mini soup in between course as the waiter mentioned a wait between dishes. Marking it down only because I found some dishes slightly over salted.

Have been there 4 times and it is always was a brilliant experience. Lovely atmosphere, great service and food is delicious and lovely presented. The menu of the day is a superb bargain. You are welcomed with a cold gazpacho style pre-starter, then a lovely starter then homemade ravioli type followed by starter and main. Although all of this seems a lot the portions are such that it is perfect!

A unreal dunning experience that you must try. I have been here 3 times now and it never disappoints. The food is extremely delicious and exceptionally executed. The staff are incredibly knowledgable, very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is great and the interior design is nice and zen. The restaurant is well maintained and clean. I will definitely like to come back with friends and family in the future, highly recommend.

Google
Excellent atmosphere and decor. Food was well thought out and portioned, good familiar flavours that paired well, cocktails were delectable. Service was fine but not enough attention to detail, it was a quiet night and yet the staff appeared to be flustered and in a rush at times, missing out on clearing tables properly between courses. Also rushed with explanation of courses. Water was constantly available which was good, and timing of courses were well spread apart. Definitely a recommended restaurant for a meal. If you can get a promo set tasting menu, your money will be very well spent!

Really loved it, food was delicious and so beautifully presented - the asparagus dish was a work of art. The service was excellent too. We went for a 5 course chef's special for £35, including a bellini and it was great value for money. I went for the vegetarian set menu, they didn't mention a vegan option. By the dessert I was still doing OK, I wasn't too stuffed. After dessert I couldn't have eaten more so for me portion sizes were just right. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Pretty as a Picture decribes the food perfectly. Instagram fans will be in their element as they gaze and click over each dish before finally tucking in (and I'd imagine, onlookers will no doubt raise their eyebrows despondently!) I did this. Clicked away I mean. I know, it's a bit embarrasing, but when food looks this pretty it feels discourteous not to somehow. Try not to panic when you see these pretty little plates placed infront of you; don't let 'that doesn't represent value for money' thought process kick in. Wait until you taste and the delight that follows will soon quash any desire to overeat. Picture is all about quality, not quantity. So many restaurants focus on style over substance, but here they manage both and if you're going with one of their excellent tasting menus you don't want to be pigging out on each course, you want to graze and cogitate. I prefer the 'feel' and the overall styling of Picture Fitzrovia, which I visited about 3 years ago, but the service cannot be faulted and if you're lucky enough to have front man, Tom on duty, you're in for a treat. He combines humour with candour and never overstays his welcome. The perfect restaurateur.

Yelp
So, surprisingly, a soft launch 50% off food offer drew me into their new offspring from the original restaurant in Fitrovia. First impressions were good, great front of house and smiling, efficient waiters. The decor was subtle and relaxed, and on trend in a nordic/modern french fashion. Being a greedy value for money guy, I didn't hesitate to go for the 6 course menu - lunch hour be damned.. What followed, from the bread and incredibly creamy butter, to the chocolate and salt caramel mousse was pretty much faultless... the bavette beef and bone marrow crumble the stand out of the show. Altogether, not quite wow enough to make it a 'special destination', but for elegant, punchy and inventive food at a fair price (which would have been circa £50 a head, without booze), then consider it a great 'neighbourhood / shopping trip / theatre go-to'.

Yelp
I really wanted to like their 6-course tasting menu, but much of it was just bland or disappointing. The first course of cold leek and potato soup had a nice saltiness to it, but it also tasted a bit like warm spit. The carrot salad was well plated, but had bland sauces. The pork was served with watermelon and kimchi, which just didn't go well together. The kimchi was way too spicy. The ravioli was good, but very small and then broth was poured over it. The broth was too salty and didn't really add to the dish. The steak was the only really good dish. The chocolate mousse dessert was just okay. There was little punch to the dishes and portions were small. I was still hungry afterward. Overall portions were very small. I'm sorry but I would definitely not return. It is small portions like a Michelin star restaurant, but the taste is very off. Wish I could get our money back.
