We made a reservation for a family dinner event with a large group, and Cơm Niêu Sài Gòn went above and beyond to accommodate us. They kindly reserved an indoor room to keep things quiet since they had live music performing outside that evening. We were very impressed by their extensive menu — I remember seeing over 300 dishes listed! The staff was incredibly patient and helpful, guiding us through the options and making recommendations that worked perfectly for our group. My family and friends thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes we ordered, and the highlight of the evening was definitely watching the signature clay pot rice presentation — the way they broke the pot and tossed the rice across the room was so impressive! Overall, a wonderful dining experience with delicious food, attentive service, and a fun cultural performance. Highly recommend for gatherings or anyone looking to experience authentic Vietnamese cuisine with a show!

This restaurant was just a couple steps down from my airbnb. Although I came for breakfast and the restaurant itself was not opened yet for service inside, it had a beautifully decorated interior. The waitress sat me outside and I ordered a pork and rice dish with an egg meatloaf, also known as Com Tam. The photo of my dish seemed like the dish came in a small amount but I thought it was perfectly fine since I don't have rice for breakfast normally. However, I was expecting the egg meatloaf to be a little warmer. Overall still a good experience!

First, the food here tastes awful—there’s no other way to put it. Second, the place is overrun with mosquitoes and flies; they’re everywhere, which is totally unhygienic. Third, since it’s located on a busy street, the air is filled with heavy car exhaust and cooking fumes, making it really unpleasant to breathe while eating. Fourth, the service is extremely poor. You even have to pay for tissues, and there’s no free water provided—only the items we ordered are on the table. Fifth, the staff’s English is very limited. We faced huge communication barriers just trying to ask simple questions. Sixth, right after we paid the bill, the staff was in an absurd hurry to clear our table. They kept taking our things away frantically, without even checking if we were still eating

Beautiful atmosphere with a menu as far as the eye can see, and that's not a bad thing! Plenty of options for any kind of curiosities or cuisine tastes. Friendly attentive staff and clean facilities; the environment and decorations are well maintained and give a very warm feeling. The food is absolutely delicious and highly recommended for anyone, local or foreign to try!

A must come restaurant. Great food and friendly staff. Very famous with "cơm niêu" a special cooked rice in clay pot.

Cơm Niêu Sài Gòn on Tu Xuong Street offers a delightful journey into authentic Vietnamese home-style cooking. Stepping in, you're greeted by a cozy ambiance, often with live traditional music. The highlight is their signature clay pot rice, cooked to perfection, resulting in a wonderfully crispy bottom layer. Beyond the rice, the restaurant also prides itself on serving a wide array of traditional Vietnamese dishes like crispy Banh Xeo (sizzling pancakes), fresh salads (Goi), various noodle soups (Bun), refreshing traditional drinks (Nuoc Mat), and a truly unique selection of Vietnamese sweet soups (Che) for dessert... etc. It's a fantastic spot to experience genuine Vietnamese flavors in a warm, welcoming setting, highly recommended for families and anyone seeking a taste of local comfort food.

1-2 mins walk to the hotel we are staying. The decoration is traditional and service is very nice. We enjoyed the food soooo much.
