Friendly staff. Great supplies for beer, wine and kombucha projects. Purchased a kit and was able to brew in a bag to make a New England Style IPA.

Started as a novice and they are helping hone my beer making skills.These guys are very knowledgeble and helpful. They always have great beers to sample and can build you recipe. They put on some great brewing events through out the year also, fun for all!

Between this and their West Philly location, you can be a fairly satisfied home-brewer. Their staff is knowledgeable, and it's a very casual atmosphere. I have been disappointed once or twice in my three years of going here due to them running out of stock from time to time, but that's a rarity in my experience.

Incredibly insightful staff. I went in with a couple questions about a brew I currently have going regarding yeast really activation when racking to secondary on a fruit puree and answered everything in detail. Since I was there already, I tried to gather ingredients for a clone of a beer I wanted to try. While they didn't have everything (impossible to stock every ingredient for every brew) one of the staff worked with me to try to find equivalents. Only to be 1 Oz short of one certain hop (very large hop amount). While I didn't buy the ingredients, I did get other supplies to prepare for my brew. Will definitely take my future business there and want to attend their brew club meetings.

This is a great shop, with a large selection grain, hops, yeast, and gear. Jimmy, Nick, and Tom are knowledgeable and helpful. They've helped me fine tune recipes and fix mistakes on multiple occasions. The store also carries a wide variety of DIY food making kits for sausages and cheeses. I cannot recommend this store strongly enough.

Love this shop! Definitely my favorite out of the few that are around my area!! Its like i go to school when I go in there.. The dudes are super knowledgeable and answer every question i can throw at them! They took my brew game to the next level and I look forward to going there because I learn more every time! Great job fellas!!

Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. was very patient and informative to first time brewers like me. the store made drinks are PHENOMENAL. These guys know what they are talking about. Attitude is very informative and helpful contrary to profit making

If you want good, detailed info about brewing equipment or the brewing process, this is your place. If you want to hang out and connect with other Philly homebrewers, this is your place. If you want to drink some fresh homebrew from the tap, this is your place. Super-informed, but not snobby; very welcoming and helpful. I won't be shopping anywhere else for my home brewing needs.
