"A post-theatre coffee at Petit Colón Teatro Colón, considered one of the most beautiful opera houses in the world, is a must-see for architecture fans and ballet enthusiasts alike. Around the corner is Petit Colón, one of the city's most elegant cafés — and a perfect spot to stop for cappuccino and cake, or a glass of champagne, before or after the curtain call. Choose a table by the window for optimal people-watching opportunities of the theatre crowd passing by."

Really nice location for a lovely breakfast and a cup of tea in Buenos Aires. The atmosphere is very nice, make sure you sit in the basement area, it's the one with the best vibe!

An extraordinarily delightful café. Before performances or concerts at the Teatro Colón, I always try to stop by here, even if just for half an hour to catch my breath. The coffee quality is typical of Buenos Aires—so you won’t find a perfect Americano, but it’s certainly not bad either. I recommend trying the flan casero, which is excellent, and the other pastries are also very good. If you like things a bit sweeter, you can ask to have it topped with dulce de leche.

Petit Colón is an absolute gem. Located just steps from Teatro Colón, this café blends Belle Époque charm with a classic Buenos Aires vibe. The interior is stunning—wood paneling, brass fixtures, chandeliers, and velvet details give it a nostalgic, elegant atmosphere. I stopped by for breakfast, and everything was delicious. We had coffee, hot chocolate with churros, medialunas with ham, cheese and scrambled eggs and alfajor dor dessert, The service was very professional and courteous. It’s a great spot for breakfast or an afternoon break, especially if you’re exploring the nearby theater district or looking for a quiet corner near Tribunales. Prices are a bit higher than average, and that is the only reason I gave them 4 stars. Definitely recommended if you’re looking to experience a bit of old Buenos Aires charm in a refined and welcoming setting.

Went for coffee and tea. The herbal tea was served with some small cakes which was very nice. We also had a cupacino and normal coffee as well as tuna sandwich. The venue is old time with really nice decor. The service was good and the atmosphere very good. Prices are normal for the center of B.A.

This place has bad, (moderate if you were starving like us) food with total tourist prices. We ordered a club sandwich and the spaghetti bolognese, along with a couple of waters - both of which were edible, but that’s as much as I’m willing to give them. Kitschy, sure, but save your $70.

Such a wonderful location, right next to Teatro Colón. The decor feels beautiful and classic and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The waiters all dressed in black & white that will bring you back in times gone by! In the morning you can drink delicious coffee here and with your coffee you get delicious cookies or small pastries, complimentary from the house. At lunchtime, when ordering wine or other beverages, you’ll get complimentary snacks, breads, pate or a little soup. I recommend the Albondigas de Lomo, little beef meatballs gratinated with cheese! Just a wonderful snack for lunch! Petit Colón is a wonderful place to spend a few hours or more!

Customer service is really good, everybody were professional and kind. The food is basic, nothing to say WOW! In summary, one more touristic place with high prices and average food.

This elegant, refined café takes you back in time. It feels like your having a coffee during the Belle Epoque in France. It has lavish decor, great sweets, good coffee and friendly service. Even the bathrooms are designed to match the historical feel of the place.

Yelp
Really a perfect little café that is open all day in the financial/theater district. It is full of businessman in suits and a few tourists. It is tableservice at its finest and a nice selection of pastries in the morning that you choose yourself. The prices are not cheap but it's worth it. The manteca medialunas (butter croissants) are amazing. We tried to come for lunch and it was jampacked and were never able to get a table. The salads and sandwiches that went by all looked fantastic. It is only one block from the Teatro Colon so definitely worth a stop before or after picking up tickets or doing a tour if the theater. Not sure if it is open for dinner.

Yelp
Such a cute place. Way over priced but it's location is so amazing. The churros and hot chocolate beat anywhere in in Buenos Aires I have tried in my 5 years living here.

Yelp
This beautiful classic cafe is in the business area and close to the famous Colon Theater . Great ambience and get a table by the windows and people watch while having a great meal . We went for lunch and were lucky to get a window seat and very patient server . Since it was our first visit we needed time to study the large menu and never felt rushed at all. I had the Gnocchi , which was very good , the sauce really was wonderful . There were 3 of us and one had had a hamburger and loved it and another had a sandwich which she found to be very good. I don't recall our servers name but he obviously had been working at Cafe Colon for some time and worked so effortlessly and even made time for conversation. We had a very good Argentine Chardonnay . If I lived in Buenos Aires I would be a regular guest that's how wonderful our visit was . I highly recommend!

Yelp
We were getting pretty hangry on our walking tour of Buenos Aires and asked our guide if we could stop somewhere with local food along the way. Petit Colon was the perfect stop, though on a rainy Sunday it was pretty empty and probably didn't have the same ambiance it would on a weekday. We both decided to order sandwiches, Trevor's a Mediterranean style one that I originally wanted, but decided to try something different and went with a more traditional steak option with an egg. Swapped out the fries for a side salad. Both of our sandwiches were pretty messy (something about the bread was weird to us), but they were both tasty and washed down quite nicely with a glass or two of wine (no judgement this was our honeymoon vacation, the wine was nonstop lol). The bill was a bit high, but that's to be expected in this part of town.

Yelp
Had café con leche and medialunas and it was pretty good. Service isn't fast, you need to try to get the server's attention if you want to be served. That's not odd in this city.

Yelp
Food was fine. During three days in Buenos Aires, this was the only place we used our MasterCard, and within two days there were fraudulent charges on the card. At that time, their credit card reader was not working very well, so pay cash if you go.
