If you're a foodie or just want to get out and see a bit of Bali family life, Wayan and his family will welcome you with open arms. Students begin by heading to themarketand touring the farm's gardento gatherfresh ingredients and to learn about local herbs and spices that are used in cooking as well as in herbal treatments fora variety of ailments. Thenstudents work in an open-sided kitchen to prepare some classic Balinese dishes and, of course, sit down to a terrific feast afterwards. What a fantastic experience! The cooking class started with a visit to the local market, which was a great way to learn about the ingredients and local culture. We then toured the farm, where we had the chance to pick our own fresh vegetables—such a special and grounding part of the day. The cooking itself was well-organized, hands-on, and so much fun. The food turned out absolutely delicious, and I loved knowing we were cooking with veggies we had just picked ourselves. The staff were warm, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel smooth and welcoming. Everything was thoughtfully set up from start to finish. Truly a memorable and enjoyable experience—I highly recommend it!

Amazing experience! Our time at Pemulan Bali Farm Cooking School was unforgettable — hands down one of the best things we did in Bali! Set in the middle of lush rice fields, the location alone is worth the visit. The experience started with a peaceful tour of their organic farm, where we picked fresh herbs and vegetables that we later used in our dishes. The cooking class was so well-organized and welcoming. The instructors were friendly, funny, and super knowledgeable, guiding us step by step as we made a full Balinese meal from scratch — including starters, mains, sides, and dessert. Our class included chicken and egg dishes, but they also offer fully plant-based/vegan menus if you request it in advance. Every dish turned out delicious, and it was amazing to cook everything outdoors surrounded by nature. It wasn’t just about learning recipes — it felt like a deep dive into Balinese culture, food, and way of life. This experience is perfect whether you’re a foodie, a couple, or a solo traveler. Peaceful, delicious, and truly memorable. Thank you, Pemulan team! Highly recommend — 10/10!

We took part in a Balinese cooking class and the experience was fantastic. It starts with a visit to a traditional local market and their organic farm, where you pick the fresh ingredients you’ll later cook with. Then, you join a hands-on workshop to prepare several delicious and authentic Balinese dishes. The staff is absolutely lovely and makes the whole experience even more special. Highly recommended — we’d definitely do it again!

If you’re willing to drive a little further, this class is so worth it. The instructors are friendly, the food is fresh (you get to pick about half the ingredients from the garden) and everything tasted so so good. Catered well to both 1x vegan and 1x nut and shellfish allergy. Photos attached is the vegan food we made. 10/10

I will hardly recommend this amazing farm , it’s a really unique experience with local people, everything was so genuine and pure . I have done so many cooking classes around Asia, but this was especially excellent. You can also ask for vegan cooking as I did and they were really great. If you like cooking and nature don’t miss it . Thank you .

This was our favourite experience in Bali. We were picked up from our Villa and had a lovely drive through rice terraces and jungle before getting to the farm. The class was small - just my partner and two others. We were shown around the farm and taught about all the vegetables, spices, herbs and fruit growing there. We then prepared two starters, three mains, and a dessert - all adapted to be vegan. This was one of our only opportunities to eat traditional local food (most vegan food in Ubud is western style and caters to tourists). The food was delicious and Agus and Dina were great teachers, with great senses of humour. 5/5!

A great experience! The setting is amazing!! We started by picking our own ingredients, then our amazing cooking teacher guided us through preparing several traditional dishes, always with a little joke here and there. The result… absolutely delicious!! I highly recommend this experience!
