If you're a foodie or just want to get out and see a bit of Bali family life, Wayan and his family will welcome you with open arms. Students begin by heading to themarketand touring the farm's gardento gatherfresh ingredients and to learn about local herbs and spices that are used in cooking as well as in herbal treatments fora variety of ailments. Thenstudents work in an open-sided kitchen to prepare some classic Balinese dishes and, of course, sit down to a terrific feast afterwards. The cooking workshop was absolutely fantastic. We did a private workshop, which made the experience even more special. We were picked up from our hotel and first visited the local market, where we received a very informative and engaging explanation about the different types of vegetables. Our guide was wonderful — full of energy and enthusiasm — and introduced us to all kinds of delicious snacks and fruits that we had never tried before. After that, we went to the farm, which was absolutely beautiful. It was amazing to see everything they grow there and how much of the produce from the garden is used in the cooking itself. The cooking guide was also fantastic. We learned a lot, enjoyed every moment, and truly had an incredible time. It was a wonderful morning and an experience we would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved the cooking experience! We tried out the morning session and had an early 7:30am start where the pick-up driver met us at the designated meeting area, and drove us to the morning market. Here, our guide greeted us and showed us around the market, where we get to try out local fruits like snake skin fruit. After the market, we headed towards the cooking school, which is up in hills surrounded by trees, making the temperature so much cooler than Ubud city. Our cooking instructor was fun, humorous and very entertaining. We absolutely loved the dishes and the curry tastes amazing! A 10/10 experience!

Wow! What a beautiful experience. It was amazing to go around a local market that we never would have found by ourselves. Farm is a local cooperative and has such a gentle, loving family energy. They also have an incredibly affordable shop with beautiful kitchenware. But wow of course the best bit was the food! Amazing! Vegetarian dishes of many of our favourite foods in Indonesia. One of the best things we've done on our trip and definitely the best cooking day I've ever attended. Highly recommend!

What an amazing experience!! The staff were very informal and excellent! We did a farm tour where we learned about various herbs the Balinese use in their cooking, and we got to see how village life is like. We made a 6 course meal including dessert and the food came out amazing! The staff gifts us a recipe book with the meals we made and more. Beautiful experience glad I got to enjoy it ! Thanks to the wonderful staff for making the day successful! And shoutout to beautiful Lari, she was a great guide.

The Ubud cooking class was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The farm tour was engaging, and picking our own fresh ingredients made the whole experience feel authentic and special. The instructors were friendly, knowledgeable, and explained each step clearly. We cooked two delicious appetizers and three flavorful main dishes, all of which turned out well. I highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Ubud who wants a fun, hands-on way to experience Balinese culture and food.

Our private class at Pemulan Bali Farm Cooking School was amazing. We loved visiting the local market to pick up fresh produce, followed by a visit to the farm for the rest of the ingredients. The entire experience felt authentic and well-organized. Once we started cooking, the instructor really took great care of us, guiding us through each dish with patience and warmth. Amazing experience! We did the private morning session for two people. I was able to get a lot of adaptations for my dietary needs (strict vegetarian and no garlic or onions). The dishes were superb. Using fresh farm grown and a few local items, made the dishes come alive. A wonderful experience in a beautiful, peaceful setting, and now we are armed with new cooking skills and appreciation. Thanks to Reza and Wayan and Nyoman for wonderful experience.

The whole experience was nice, we visited the local market, got to know different ingredients. Then we went to the cooking farm, picked vegetables by our own and visited the organic vegetable garden, learned a lot of different plants. We were also lucky enough to taste yummy pineapple and passion fruit that grow and picked in the farm. The whole cooking process was smooth and friendly. All the staff were nice and gave us very detailed instructions. And of course, the food were really yummy. I’m looking forward to trying cook the same dishes at home. Thanks again to all the people who served us.
