My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant on a Wednesday evening. The entrance has a beautifully framed sign with the restaurant’s name, which was very impressive. The restaurant’s decor is also very beautiful, especially the wine display cabinet right at the entrance. The restaurant specializes in Spanish cuisine, and the food was excellent.
Our server, Candice, took great care of us. She was very polite, enthusiastic, and friendly, and she refilled our water and wine very promptly.
Here are the dishes I recommend:
Patria Paella (Small for $36): The rice was crispy with fresh seafood. The shrimp was very bouncy, the mussels and clams were very delicious, and there was a slight tomato acidity that harmonized well with the seafood, enhancing its freshness. The sprouts added a crunchy texture and a fresh grassy aroma, which was very refreshing. The rice absorbed all the essences, making it very tasty. Overall, I think this seafood paella is a must-order.
Bone Marrow ($26): Some tender beef is placed on top of roasted bone marrow, paired with their special sauce. The taste was really delicious. Putting a bit of beef and bone marrow on the roasted sourdough bread, then sprinkling some sea salt on top, creates a burst of meat, oil, and grain flavors in your mouth. This dish goes very well with drinks, especially with a refreshing cava, making for a slightly tipsy dinner.
Datiles ($16): Bacon-wrapped dates with their special sauce. The dish is sweet, salty, and slightly sour – a very characteristic Spanish tapas. This restaurant makes them mini-sized, perfect for a one-bite snack that goes well with drinks.
As for other dishes, I don’t eat lamb products, so I ordered the only cow’s milk cheese on the menu, Mahon Anejo ($15), paired with hawthorn pieces. It was quite delicious.
We also ordered a bottle of cava to pair with the meal, making it a very happy and satisfying evening. Thanks to our server, Candice, for providing us with so much delicious food.
