"At the second location of this Japanese bakery in Hell’s Kitchen, you’ll find desserts—like chamomile mango mousse—that incorporate Japanese ingredients and French techniques. Specialty drinks, like iced Earl Grey cold brew tea and matcha yuzu lemonade, complement the sweets." - will hartman

"Prior to opening Patisserie Fouet in Union Square, owner and executive chef Yoshie Shirakawa had already won awards as a pastry chef, taught classes at a culinary school in Tokyo, and worked as the executive pastry chef at Dessert Cafe Luxee and Bohemian in New York. At Patisserie Fouet, Shirakawa’s Japanese and French flavors really shine in her dessert jars, particularly the soba pudding and green tea tiramisu that work great for takeout." - izzy chen, team infatuation

"That corn is $18, which is a lot more than what you’ll pay for, say, a faux-green apple at the French Japanese Patisserie Fouet." - Ryan Sutton

This is what suffering from success actually looks like (take notes DJ Khaled). At Patisserie Fouet, Shirakawa’s Japanese and French flavors really shine in her jar desserts, particularly the soba pudding and green tea tiramisu that work great for takeout. They also offer covered and heated outdoor seating, which is perfect when I’m looking for a cute weekend sit-down spot for afternoon tea. photo credit: Pâtisserie Fouet" - Izzy Chen & With Warm Welcome

Stepping into this place felt like being back in Kyoto. The atmosphere is serene and inviting, with a minimalistic design that perfectly balances elegance and simplicity. The pastries are not just delicious—they are true works of art, crafted with precision and care. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates Japanese feel and flavors with Parisian flair.

Great place for dessert. Got the soba pudding to go and it was unique and delicious. Also love that the pudding was in a nice glass container that I could keep and reuse. Can't wait to come back and try more of their pastries and desserts.

Enjoyable desserts, but could use more descriptions (for example, the grapefruit cup had some unexpected, super bitter notes). One of the items was also still semi frozen. Staff seemed friendly and helpful. Would absolutely recommend

Good pastries, well balanced, good taste, not too sweet. The biscuits underneath the mousse was really crunchy 👌 The almond croissant is good, but can definitely find better in better homemade French bakeries though. The oat milk latte was really good though 👍 The staff is super nice. Very pleasant experience.

This is a very interesting Japanese French fusion pastry shop. The inside is beautiful as well as the desserts. I think it’s creative but it wasn’t the best flavors. I might try more to see if I like others

Japanese cakes that aren’t too sweet—just the right level of flavor. They’re also beautifully presented. The coffee was rich and delicious. They also sell cookies and other treats. You can eat inside or take your order to go.

I did the afternoon tea with two other friends, and the experience was disappointing for all of us. While the presentation was beautiful, all the cakes/pastries were really dry and lacking a lot of flavor. The service was also a letdown, as the staff forgot some of our requests. This meant we had to get up from our table and go inside to ask for the same things more than once. In addition, the ambiance inside was gloomy and uncomfortable, so it was best to sit outside. Overall, we got a lot of food at an affordable price. You will only get high quantity, but not high quality.

Beautiful environment for afternoon tea. The apple shape cake was fascinating. Please order the apple cake! However the afternoon set was little but expensive. It will be better to do single order.
