The 31 Best Restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam | Eater
"Before Pasteur Street Brewing Company, the craft beer scene in Vietnam was pretty much nonexistent. You could get only the local mass-produced beers or imported brands at local bars, restaurants, and street food joints. Founders John Reid and Alex Violette decided to merge American craft brewing techniques with fresh, local Vietnamese ingredients. They brewed their first batch in November 2014, and by 2016, they burst onto the international craft beer stage when their Cyclo Imperial Chocolate Stout took home a gold medal at the World Beer Awards. Pasteur has remained the undisputed craft beer leader in Vietnam, expanding its catalog of beer flavors and taprooms while winning multiple awards and exporting overseas." - Linh Phan
"In the burgeoning craft-beer scene in Ho Chi Minh City, Pasteur Street is undoubtedly the front-runner. Opened in 2015 by a pair of Americans—one involved in hospitality in Vietnam, another who worked at a brewery in Colorado—the outfit concocts classic craft brews with Vietnamese ingredients. The comfortable space, with a long wooden bar, warm lighting, and a deliberate absence of TV screens, fosters a congenial atmosphere, one focused on beer and conversation. While the menu includes bar bites like Nashville Hot Chicken, black-eyed-pea hummus, and fried pickles, the beers are what keep tipplers coming back, including those that utilize local ingredients like jasmine, pomelo, passion fruit, and cinnamon."

"Notable craft breweries have popped up in recent years between D1 and D3, from Pasteur Street Brewing Company, which was one of the first to open and counts three taprooms."
How Brewers in Vietnam Are Creating Exceptional Craft Beers Using Local Ingredients - AFAR
"Known for a stout-forward program, this brewery's Cyclo Imperial Chocolate Stout won gold in the chocolate beer category at the 2016 World Beer Cup and showcases Vietnamese single-origin Marou chocolate along with Saigon cinnamon and Mui Ne vanilla. The team, including Vietnamese brewer Hai Trieu and head brewer Dave Byrn, experiments widely—making a passion fruit wheat ale, a coffee stout, drying jasmine for an aromatic IPA and trying fruits from pineapple to mangosteen and even durian—with the explicit goal of creating beers that "yell 'Vietnam' in your mouth" by using the country's tropical fruit, spices and herbs." - Stephanie Cain
Located in the small sidewalk and 2nd floor of a building. Very interesting craft beers. I’m super falling in love with Tropical seltzer, very refreshing with sweet and sour of fruits. I came here twice for drinking Tropical seltzer.
Good service.

We had such a great time enjoying some delicious craft beer! We did a little bar hopping along the street, and I have to say, this bar is one of the gems in the neighborhood. It was a fantastic experience!

Small upstairs area with steps only.
Really enjoyed the 6 beer taster board as it gave me a variety to try instead of just one.
The food was exceptional and was more than enough for a couple of people.
One of the staff spoke really good clear English with an American twang.
We had the meat lovers combo.

The best place to have a chilled glass of locally crafted beer! Visited this place on our last night in Vietnam and was truly welcomed by the amazing happy staff who also gave us the opportunity to try out few options before deciding on the tropical spritz. Must say the most refreshing beer we have ever had ! Just awesome! The next day decided to grab a quick takeaway on the way to the airport and the staff was super thoughtful and kind to top up the full glass when he got to know we were on the way to the airport. Will surely recommend this place for some good beer and great smiles from the staff!!!

The original outlet ! Tucked away from the main street, it offers a charming and cozy atmosphere, complemented by a great selection of 70s–80s rock music. The diverse craft beer lineup is sure to delight any beer enthusiast—or their beer belly.

Great beers and staff who are also knowledgeable about their product. Food is decent but you should be coming in for the beers, not the food. Irish stout is decently good. Jasmine IPA and also the session IPA are standouts.

I first came here in 2018 and fell in love with the beer here. I’m glad it’s still good in 2025. Excellent beer selection. The passionfruit ale is a standout. Food is good too.
