"High chairs: Yes You don’t have to answer, but we’re still going to ask: have you ever felt jealous of your offspring when they get to order the build-your-own pasta off the kids' menu, and you have to resort to a predetermined pasta fate? If the answer is yes—and again, we don’t need to know—go to Pasta Louise. Everybody picks their pasta sauce and toppings at this flower-covered Park Slope spot, so your toddler can get the roasted tomato sauce with whipped ricotta, and you can get the spicy red pesto with shrimp, burrata, and breadcrumbs. The only thing you can’t pick is their actual pasta shape. (They make one shape per day, and the whole shtick is pretty charming.)" - willa moore, molly fitzpatrick
"Pasta Louise is a new neighborhood Italian spot in Park Slope serving homemade sauces and fresh pasta by the pound. They’ve got eight curated pasta kits, including the pasta, sauce, some fresh bread, and a bottle of wine, available on their website for pick-up and delivery, and each kit is created according to a specific takeout mood. So whether you’re looking for a big night-in with mafaldine and wild mushroom cream sauce or something spicy like casarecce in a red pesto sauce, Pasta Lousie has you covered. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation
"We don’t know how long it’ll be before Olive Garden loses the copyright for their famous slogan, but Pasta Louise could easily adopt it (as long as you’re willing to overlook this Park Slope spot’s lack of unlimited breadsticks). When you’re here, you’re family, or at least surrounded by more families than you’re used to. At this popular Park Slope spot, they make one shape of pasta every day. You choose between house special sauces like Sicilian spicy pesto and cacio e pepe, and add toppings like breadcrumbs, cannellini beans, and prosciutto. The menu is a hit with kids, as is the relatively spacious dining room—but the atmosphere and nice bar aren’t too PG for strictly adult dinners. Stop in for a casual weeknight meal. The whipped ricotta and focaccia appetizer is a standout replacement for those unlimited breadsticks, and they have a pretty nice wine list as well." - Neha Talreja
"In Park Slope, kid-friendly Italian restaurant Pasta Louise has brought on Tim Miner, a veteran of cocktail hot spots Death & Co. and Long Island Bar, to oversee the drinks program at its newest outpost." - Luke Fortney
"A family-friendly Italian restaurant known for serving one pasta shape each night, now at an expanded location with a larger menu." - Eater Staff
