Lleras Park

This park is surrounded by restaurants, bars, discotheques and vendors. By the time I visited in early January, it was lighted for christmas and there were plenty of tourists around. Always felt safe walking alone at night or day. I like it has a lot of vegetation, which seems to be very common in Medellin. I could not see any public restrooms though, but most of the surrounding places would lend or let you use it for a small fee (usually 1K COP).

The park and surrounding streets have been renovated and they did a great job. The lights and decorations are really nice. They also closed the surrounding streets so you can walk freely. The park is surrounded by nightclubs and bars with some restaurants. The local government has done a great job on cracking down on the illegal activity in the park area by posting police at all entry points. It’s definitely upgraded since my prior visits.

The city is trying very hard to clean this park up and i think it's succeeding. There are not so many strange people anymore. I went to a music festival hosted at this park and I had a great time. It's probably better in the day than at night, unless you're a party animal.

Very beautiful and green park. It's quiet during the day, except for the homeless that asking for the money, but at night it's very noisy.

During the daytime, it tends to be a fairly quiet area and they just redid the park less than a year ago. So it is not bad. But mind you...it is a super small, city park with always locals around asking for money or trying to sell you crap. So, it is not really a park to chill. At night and on the weekends, it turns into a very busy entertainment area with lots of trashy bars nearby, each playing its own, loud regaeton music. Too bad, because if it wasn't for those trashy bars, it could have been a beautiful, elegant, little urban park.

This park is in the center of tourist district. You will see many working girls in the night.

If you're looking for a place to party this is it. There's a ton of crazy things that happen here when the sun goes down. There are a lot of pros and cons. If you've been to colombia before you know what this place is about. If you haven't here's the rundown. Be careful and have good time. There are people who want to scam tourists because this is a frequent tourist spot. There are a lot of girls of the night. Dont flash money around. They are not afraid to get in your face and aggressively ask you to go in clubs, restraunts, or taxis. Taxis and uber are very competitive because they compete for business. Didi, uber, and ndrive are the top transportation services. Some taxi drivers try to take advantage of tourists not knowing directions and leave the meter running. I don't think I'll ever get used to the driving. Very stop and go, mountains, hills, tons of motorcycles flying in and out of traffic. I thought Massachusetts had aggressive drivers, but nothing like this. It can be a very safe place as long as you dont do stupid things, walk solo at night waving your phone around, flashing cash, etc... medellin is a better area but there is a lot of trash and the sewage and water systems are not as advanced. If you pay attention and be cautious, you can enjoy one of thenmany clubs or restaurants this place has to offer. GlowVIP, Diamond, Montecarlo, Hookah, are all good clubs. The weekends are popping. Tona of people wandering the streets partying and having a good time. Great night life. Good food and places to eat.
