Large river separating Bolivia from Brazil at Corumba in Mato Grosso. Exciting wild life amidst huge surrounding swamp land. Corumba offers adequate accommodation and restaurants. Friendly local population. On the Bolivian side, Puerto Suarez a relatively small town with some facilities. Life on the river offers excursions into the marshland and good fishing. Swim at your own peril due to current, piranhas and alligators.
