Great service, great food. Our waitress was on point. Alligator bites were delicious. We were there for lunch so we ordered off the lunch menu…portions are big & we left with to go boxes as well. I had the stuffed crab and being from PA/MD area, they were very good knowing crab cakes are hard to compare to Maryland style. Highly recommend.

It took a long time before our waiter came to out table. But once he finally did Aiden was pretty good . Food came out quick and was delicious. We were here for my birthday dinner.. Will definitely return.

First time visiting this place. The greeting was welcoming. We were a party of 8. Our waitress was excellent in tending to our table and made sure to inform the manager about the food allergy. I was impressed that the manager then came to our table to confirm the food allergy, which showed concern to avoid any medical issues. The waitress asked to take a group photo of us in the courtyard. I felt it was thoughtful of her since we were only taking them at the table. Overall, the food was appealing and good. I had catfish with rice& beans. The portions could have been a little more for the price you're paying, especially when it comes to portions of rice, pasta, beans, and potatoes. The only thing that my party of 8 agreed, although the plate was hot, was that the food was just warm. Overall, I would try them again and would recommend lunch/dinner experience.

I always enjoy a dinner at this establishment. The consistency is there with the food and they have good cocktails. My last visit to them was off to a rocky start which may have been bad timing on our part as a shift change may have been occurring. But our delay in initial service was more than made up for by the exemplary service provided by Kaelin M. She really stepped in there with a bubbly demeanor and efficient execution of her duties that more than made up for any prior inconvenience. Will be back again.

Always a great time at Pappadeaux! I just happened to be in the area with some time to spare.So I came in for drinks and their charbroil oysters. So good and the best I've had since leaving Mississippi. Carlos, the bartender, is very friendly and amazing customer service! An oasis in the desert, the outside decor is super cute and great for special occasions.

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen is a nice place to have dinner. The food was okay. The crab that I had been eager to have was no longer existing on their menu any longer. They had crab pieces that turned out dry, and the steak was a little better than the crab. It was cooked to almost specification, ordering it medium rare, it turned out a little rarer than I would have liked. The spinach was good as my husband said it was the best thing about his meal. My potatoes was cooked better than the crab and steak. As I don't like spinach, I gave it him as he loved it. His dinner, catfish, I believe, was dry. I did have oysters Rockefeller, and it was the best thing of my meal. They were arranged very well, the presentation was very appetizing. The last time I had been to Pappadeaux's was far better than what I had that night.

A seafood gem in the desert! Cocktails, baked oysters, and entree are the way to go! The Entree Special was delicious and well seasoned. The servers' recommendation of creme brulee was superb!

While visiting in Phoenix, since this place had been recommended, we thought let's try it out! I'm glad we did! The place is huge, clean, and upscale. The place was busy, however we were seated quickly. We all wanted to try the Greek salad, which is served table side. It was very good, all ingredients were fresh, and I liked the dressing. I got the wild fresh grouper with lump crab. It was Delicious, and perfectly seasoned with just the perfect Cajun spice. I thought the crab serving was unusually small and mentioned it to my server. He immediately made arrangements for us to get an additional side serving at no extra cost. The crab was yummy and tender and I loved the sauce. For dessert, we shared the key lime pie. It was a huge serving, big enough to share, and excellent. The place is clean, the service is excellent, and we all enjoyed our meals. We hope to come back when we visit Phoenix again.

Wife and I have gone to the Phx Pappa's location 3 times so far into 2025. We have always sat at the bar since we usually just get drinks and some oysters. I'll say straight-out that their oysters have been flat-out excellent here in January 2025. Love those sides as well, re: their dipping sauce and the horse radish/cocktail sauce. Pretty solid hit on the Caesar Salad. Not a homerun, but pretty solid. Drinks were pretty solid, and the bartenders were quite professional and prompt. Excellent on all. Slight downside being on the regular food items we ordered... Bit heavy on the butter and the sauces all taste the same. These slight nicks aside; man.... The oysters were awesome. Shrimp cocktail and Caesar Salads were really quite good.

Shanice is SUPER, very kind, considerate, accommodating and professional. She made our dining experience memorable. Food was excellent, CS was excellent, just an overall great restaurant We will return

Last visit was over a year ago & I got the jumbo crab legs and pasta, but I was sad to hear they haven't served crab legs since JAN. (Visited 2nd time OCT 2024) I still ended up getting some crab with the crab and spinach dip to start off which was such a flavorful and bomb choice, the bread was so soft but yet crunchy. I love dressing up whenever I come because it fits the dark vibe the restaurant gives off. We got 2 drinks, the espresso martini & garden of Eden (spicy) All of the staff were friendly & highly attentive It was pretty busy and I'm glad we had made reservations we only had to wait about 5 mins. We ordered the house salad, baked potato which had some tasty chunks of bacon. For entrees we ordered the filet mignon, & the fried shrimp & fries. Pappadeaux never disappoints! Can't wait to go back, all the food had lots of flavors.

First Timer!! Excellent Wow this place was so much more than I thought it would be. First of all the place inside is gorgeous. It feels good, I mean walking into this restaurant it makes you feel alive it's a romantic but bright classy feel. The food was hands down outstanding as well as the service. I will definitely be back in the future.

This was my first time at Pappadeaux and the food was great. We had a party of 6. We were seated right away. Our waitress Annie was very welcoming and very attentive. I had the fried seafood platter with red beans and rice. There was one mix up with one of our orders and they corrected it and gave us that meal free for the mistake. If I lived in Arizona I would definitely return. Pappadeaux please come to The east coast.

I'm from Cali and this place was definitely on my bucket list to try. I'm a pescatarian so let's go. My husband and son actually visited a location in Texas but since I didn't travel with them I missed out. They do have plenty of parking and the parking lot was full. I kind of dreaded it because I knew there was going to be a wait. We were told that the wait would be one hour. My husband was apprehensive at first but I said oh no we're going to wait. They took our cell number and we decided to wait in our car. After about 30 minutes we received a text that our table was ready. We were so happy that the wait was not an hour. Inside was very lively and full of chatter. The music played reminded me of when I was growing up in the '80s. It's was such a total vibe. Jessie, was our server. She was extremely helpful and attentive .She had tons of recommendations. #TeamJessie We started off with the garlic bread which was a delicious appetizer. They gave large pieces of bread and it was crusty and seasoned well. I was bummed because they were out of soft shell crab but I decided to order shrimp and the catfish. It came with fries and I also ordered a side of spinach to make everything look healthy, Lol! My hubby had shrimp and fries. My husband is my designated driver and he ordered a strawberry lemonade. I am the designated drinker and I had the Peach slide card which was a martini. It was very good and had that little kick that I needed. Everything was beyond delicious and seasoned. They totally lived up to my expectations. Thank you so much and hopefully we'll see you soon.

The service was not the best but the food was just okay. I don't know if we came at a bad time but it could have been better. The service was slow which was surprising because there was not many people there. I got the "Purple Voodoo" cocktail was very tasty and refreshing with hints of coconut lime juice, a very sweet cocktail I would say. I loved the roasted oysters and I was underwhelmed by the seafood + andouille sausage gumbo. Again, maybe it was a bad night I will try again another day most likely.

Pappadeaux never misses! The quality of food and service is always consistent. The restaurant is clean & has a relaxing atmosphere.

We had a quick trip to see the grandkids. We had to go to Pappa's our old haunt, before we went home to California. The outdoor area is charming and has a fountain and beautiful garden. We had some hors d'oeuvres at the bar to squeeze in a stop. The drinks are top shelf . The food is just how I remembered. Delicious, we had fried shrimp and fries. So darn good and the cocktail sauce is to e best. Service excellent. I didn't like the dressing on my salad and the bartender said "no problem I'll get you another with dressing you'll like." That's service and how to have your customers keep coming back. Even from far away, if you haven't tried Pappa's you're missing out.

Pappadeaux is one of my favorite seafood spots to visit. I eat here often when I have a taste for seafood. As usual, Pappadeaux stays busy, so it's best to make reservations. This visit, my server was Alex, she was working! I really appreciated her service and her hustle and bustle as she worked her tables. I ordered the Crispy Salmon & Jumbo Crab, I believe this was my first time trying this dish. Overall, this dish was good. I will be honest and say, I thought because the dish is called Crispy Salmon, that the salmon was going to be crispy, that's really the main reason I ordered it . The salmon just seemed to be pan seared, no crispy skin, no crispy crust. Don't get me wrong the dish was still good, but for me that was the only thing missing.

So, hit up this seafood joint, and let me tell you, overall, it was an awesome experience. The atmosphere? Perfect vibe--laid back but still lively. First up, I had the alligator bites. Honestly, they were phenomenal. Cooked just right, crispy outside, tender inside, and a flavor that hits different. Then I tried the spinach dip with crab, and man, it was another level--creamy, flavorful, just packed with crab. It's the kind of dish where you have to stop yourself from eating the whole thing in one go. If you're into seafood, this place is a must. Highly recommend checking it out!

Pappadeaux is a fun seafood place with lots of cajun offerings and a more upscale bistro vibe. The show stopper is the dessert, the banana pudding- it's big so make sure you share! The dish offerings are good and they do have chicken or steak for non seafood people. I do think the price point is a bit inflated, but you're paying for the quality. Service was good and it was a nice ambiance/experience.

A first timer for stopping into Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen and I dined alone. My server was phenomenal and I thought I had saved her name, but did not unfortunately. I believe her name started with a B and was like Brexly. My memory recalls it being fairly unique and I wanted to ensure I had to personally shout out her exceptional service as she was so friendly! My apologies if way off on her name and hope if the management team/owner sees they can provide recognition. When seated, I was greatly fairly promptly but did have some time to review the menu to be able to ask some questions while taking my beverage order. I ordered a Coke with lime, and loved that at the time of refill she brought a dish of limes to have at the ready. Also, I was given some recommendations and mentioned what I initially had my eye on (Jumbo Sea Scallops & Shrimp Risotto). Typically I stick to meat free, but I decided to see how I would fare with seafood. Grateful she mentioned this dish was great as I love risotto! Especially when there are mushrooms. The dish was $42.95 and was totally worth it! Delicate and rich flavors with such a large portion. One of my favorite risotto dishes out in the valley. Love the whole vibe of this establishment from the outside courtyard with water feature to the decor inside. Though I've never been to the French Quarter, from all the photos and movie depictions I feel this is spot on. Definitely a location I would love to return and will recommend to those who love seafood!

3.5/5 I've been wanting to try out Pappadeaux for a while and decided to dine here with a friend for lunch. We shared the medium sized fried alligator and I had the lunch portion of blackened catfish and shrimp etouffee. The alligator was a bit too salty for my tastes but perfectly fried and presented to us quickly after ordering. The sauce, while good, was a bit too overpowering and it masked the actual taste of the alligator when dipped. The thin crispy potato strings included in the appetizer were tasty. The lunch portion of my entree was huge! There was definitely enough to share if you have a lighter appetite. The shrimp etouffee was way too salty for me but I did enjoy the catfish which had just the right amount of seasoning and was perfectly cooked. The dirty rice included in the meal was also salty for me but a plentiful amount. Service was friendly and on point from Kat. I was surprised to see that there wasn't any jambalaya on the menu. It's one of my favorite dishes so that was a little disappointing but they do have most of the iconic Louisiana style dishes such as gumbo, boudin, and the aforementioned etouffee. The other negative is the really high price point. My total for lunch was $50+ with one appetizer and one lunch entree. I came here with a friend a while ago to catch up and enjoy a happy hour drink/meal. Arriving at an off hour, we still had a bit of a wait but were happy to start with a drink - frozen watermelon and some beer from the bar. Once seated, we started with some soup and bread. For our entrees, I went with the pasta mardi gras and added a lobster. My friend got a fried seafood dish. We both enjoyed everything! Service was great too, overall, would definitely recommend checking this place out. On the higher end as far as pricepoints go, but good for a special occasion or celebration. Could still be good for a more casual event too.

Surprised. I would have never picked this place since I'm not normally a chain person. But my friend wanted to go here so I agreed. The survive was outstanding, the food was chefs kiss, and we got right in without a rez at 5 o'clock, but it did start filling up after that. The place is very large and can handle big parties. Although our group was just 2. They had delicious mocktails. I tried the sunset. Then we had the most delicious crab cake I've ever had in my life. I was a little shocked after I got the bill and it was $40. But it had full crab chunks in it as well as shredded crab. I would get it again. Then we had the Atlantic Salmon Alexander - which included salmon, shrimp, crawfish, scallops, and dirty rice (chicken liver). I was not a fan of the rice but all the fish was cooked to perfection and the buttery sauce was on point. I was epically surprised that this chain was so delicious.

My fiancé brought us here for our 1 year and I enjoyed it. The ambiance was fancy Nancy with a romantic fine setting. The salmon salad plate was wonderful! The crab dip and bread was good too, although I thought it was a bit on the salty side. 4/5 for the experience here because our waiter was very accommodating and kind :)

I've always enjoy coming back to Pappadeaux whenever I would come into Phoenix for work the last 7 years it's different now because I have decided to live in AZ permanently! In fact we celebrated the closing of our house at the restaurant. However this was only my husband second visit to the restaurant. Love the service and how tentative our server and bartender were. They wanted to check what kind of white wine I'd like for my spritz! No one ever asked that, and my Martini was made with my favorite vodka Chopin. Make a reservation if you want to come in for dinner. Warning!! It's yummy!

OK, if you check my profile I rarely give less than four stars. Here's why Pappadeaux seafood kitchen deserves two or maybe even one stars. Their prices are outrageous! $16 for a crown and soda? A basic protein appetizer is 20 bucks? I have been going to Pappadeaux since the late 90s, and their prices were decent. NOT this time. 2nd, my friend booked the patio for a birthday party with a certain number of patrons. Fortunately she got more response than she thought, but Papadeauxs manager CHIDED her for having too many people show up. Not cool. Not cool at all. Find somewhere else to have your party next year.

Amazing! Highly recommend reserving if you come during the night on a weekend , but open bar seating usually does the trick. The peach sidecar drink is so dangerously good and the food as always no matter what I get is amazing

We love Pappadeaux! We arrived about 5mins late for our reservation, and they accommodated us with no issue. The restaurant is HUGE, but still feels intimate when sitting amongst family. You are going to spend roughly $100 per person here if you are grabbing appetizers, drinks, etc! The portions are pretty large, so you can share or take home leftovers. All of our food came out fresh & tasted amazing. We started off the night with drinks and appetizers. My peach sidecar was delicious. Fiance loved his his grand hennessy, which he is going to attempt to make at home. For appetizers, my mom went with the cheese balls. We decided to try the crab & spinach dip. The bread that was used for the dip was SOOO GOOD! It was perfectly crispy, not to hard. I also recommend the house salad with the creamy vinaigrette. My crawfish etouffee was immaculate. I can not wait to devour my leftovers. One of my aunts got the fried shrimp entree, and those shrimp were some of the best I have ever had. I think what set it off was the cocktail sauce. Lastly, the cheesecake is out of this world. My only suggestion overall would be to pay more attention to the bathroom. It definitely needed a good scrub with all of that foot traffic. However, we had a great time at Pappadeaux, and enjoyed every bite!

Was extremely excited to visit Pappadeaux after my co-worker was raving about it! The ambiance of the restaurant was very intimate and seemed perfect for a date or a dinner with family. Loved the dim lights and flowers around the restaurant. The food was fresh, hot, and tasty! I went with the fried soft shell crab and fries and it did not disappoint. The breading wasn't too overpowering and was well complimented with the lemon I squeezed over the food. The fries were on point - crispy, perfectly salted, and thick. However I will preface, the seafood is very pricey. Be prepared to spend upwards of $40-$90 per person. The service was speedy and very kind! Our waitress was very accommodating! She made sure our waters were always filled and that we got plenty of fresh bread to start the meal off. Great team experience that I'll never forget. Very excited to check out Pappadeaux's the next time I'm near one!

Always a favorite, and it's a shame that it's been relegated to 4 states now, with the vast majority in Texas. We started off with the free hot crusty French bread. And then for the app, some fried alligator, which ain't cheap, but it's so good. It came with a citrus chipotle sort of dressing, it was really thin. We didn't want that, so we asked for some remoulade and the staff had to make it from scratch! And they did! So good! The tableside Greek salad has always been a favorite of mine, and it's prepared tableside. She had snuck an avocado into the restaurant, so we diced that up and scooped in on our salad plate. I'm sure the waiter was wondering how the hell an avocado skin was in our salad plate. Then we split the mixed seafood grill with shrimp, scallops, salmon, and vegetables, and served over a plate of dirty rice. Everything was fantastic. Prices are pretty high to be sure, but it's high quality, great atmosphere, and a unique product.

Why oh why did you do away with the Crab Cake appetizer. Honestly... it's one of things that brings me in regularly. So disappointed. Our server/bartender recommended the stuffed crab. It was fine.... But it's no crab cake. Please bring it back.

Service was top of the line. Our male server was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We had alligator for an appetizer then ordered our meals. Everything was beyond perfect. The Cesar salad with chicken was spot on and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The pasta with the octopus was so delicious and the sauce was addicting. Can't wait to go back again.

Both dishes shine in their own way. The Atlantic Salmon Alexander is ideal for those looking for something a bit lighter but still full of flavor, while the Crawfish Étouffée provides the rich, satisfying experience one expects from a classic Cajun dish. The food here was really tasty. But emphasis must be placed on the Roasted Oyster appetizer. That was the best dish here by far. All of the food tasted fresh and came out fairly quickly. The request I made for my catfish to be "extra crispy" was fulfilled perfectly. We came during lunch and they had a full lunch menu that runs from 11am-3pm and the portions are incredibly generous.

My coworker was begging to come here for dinner. It was soooooo good. We got a nice table outside on the patio. The heater kept us nice and warm. Our server was so fabulous we made sure to let the manager know. Everyone always contacts the managers to complain but you've gotta let them know the good stuff too! My dinner was fabulous and everyone was raving about their meals. Definitely worth the out of the way trek! Shrimp & grits and etouffee were fabulous!

We visited on October 17th, 2024 we had a party of 15 people. We were celebrating our son's graduation from GCU (Lopes up !!!!) Master of Business Administration and Master of Science Leadership . I've never been here before but my wife and other family members have. (If you can't tell already everything was AMAZING!!!!!) We were seated and then greeted by The Best waitress EVER!!! ANGELA E. She took exceptional care of us, She took our appetizer order. I got the Mozzarella bites with spicy sauce omg so delicious they came out hot and cheesy everyone loved them. Then Ms. Angela asked us if we were ready to order. I got the Aged Beef Ribeye well done/ loaded baked potatoes and dirty rice omg so delicious, the steak was probably one of the best I've ever had, the baked potatoes and dirty rice was fire as well, my son had the same, My wife had Shrimp and fries special, and my graduating son had Oyster platter. Other family members had the shrimp special and other food again everything was fantastic. Back to Angela E. she NEVER EVER Let us go thirsty she was on it, Way before I even had the thought to ask for another drink I appreciated that so much. She took exceptional care of us tonight and I really appreciated it. We never told her what we were celebrating or anything until we were finished. Everything here was fantastic the music the atmosphere and when I asked for her she told me she's been with the company for over 10 years. Everyone at our party and surrounding patrons seemed to be enjoying everything. They have wheelchair access and plenty of well-lit parking. Walking up the building was very beautiful and had me in ahh (especially at night) the water fountains and outdoor seating and lounge areas. Very elegant for an upscale restaurant. 10/10, 100 run-it. Please visit and ask for her for her. You will not regret it. And yes if you were wondering I told the Mgr on staff that Angela E. Was AMAZING.

I've been to this restaurant probably 6 times over the last decade or so. I have recently gone here 3 times within the last 6 months. I've forgotten how good the food is. The seafood is fresh and prepared very well. On our last vist, I had the Pasta Mardi Gras, my wife had the Halibut and Shrimp and my Dad had the Pappadeaux Platter. All meals were excellent with my Dad commenting that Pappadeaux was his new favorite restaurant. They also provide fresh bread that is always a treat. The only downside, if this is a downside, is it's pricey. Expect to pay $50 to $60 per person without tip. Our server was named Audrey and she was fantastic. She's been working there for over 20 years, maybe more. Ask for Audrey's section if you visit. She'll take good care of you.

A great place to take out of towners for some amazing seafood. Love the stuffed cat fish. I never thought to go out fishing, catch a catfish, the stuff it with some smooth cream sauce, crabs, and oysters, but this place did it. They also through some tasty dirty rice on the side so I can mix your cut up cat fish with my rice like the ole dirty bastard that I am.

As close as you can get to the food in New Orleans! I recommend the shrimps and grits.

I'm an out of tower. I've seen Pappadeaux commercials over the years and considered this restaurant a bucket list location. I was bursting with excitement ready to feast for my birthday celebration! I intended to go for dinner not realizing they opened before noon. We went for lunch instead. There were so many delicious looking items in the menu. We started off with the crab and spinach dip. I didn't love it. It was enjoyed by everyone else though. I ordered the Pasta Mardi Gras from the lunch menu, with a caesar salad. The portions were large! You definitely get what you pay for. I would recommend this pasta, 10/10. I wish there was one in California. I would be up to trying everything on the menu.

First time here. Our waiter Dustin made it an excellent experience!! The food was amazing , taste just like the food in Louisiana. We are definitely coming back. You have to try the purple voodoo drink Update went back again still amazing sat outside it was so nice

Holy moly ammmmazzzzzing! I love love love this restaurant so much! If you like Cajun food or seafood this is your MUST DO in Phoenix! The only other place you will ever find food like this is in New Orleans. This is the REAL DEAL! We got the Mardi Gras pasta I will get this every time! Such an amazing big bowl of pasta smothered in shrimp, crawfish, lobster and sausage! Mixed with the perfect sauce! I'm obsessed. We also got the grouper and it was outstanding! The biggest highlight was our server WYATT. He is unbelievably sweet and funny and has the best birthday songs! I love him. Get the oyster they're so fresh and cold and delicious I want more now!

The food was amazing. Had swordfish w crab and dirty rice. Salmon with crab. A steak, poor Boy, alligator appetizer some cocktails and some other dishes. We had a decent size party. Carlos was our server and was phenomenal and provided the best service possible. Our drinks never were empty, our food came in the proper order w perfect timing between appetizers, salad and main course.

The food is always amazing. There was a mixup regarding who would be waiting on our table so there was a little wait. The manager apologized and offered appetizers for our inconvenience. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very festive for the holiday season. We had a great time celebrating my Father's 86th birthday. I wish you had a restaurant in Los Angeles.

We had a dinner here late last night I ordered a glass of Chardonnay and our server recommended her favorite brand so I tried and it did not disappoint. She is very helpful attentive and friendy. Food was great as usual. I love their fried catfish but forgot to take a pic. The place is very clean and roomy, outdoor sitting has misters and fan but we chose to seat inside to be more comfortable cus it was still hot out Overall, our diner experience was espectacular

I had the halibut special with Red Beans & Rice on the waiter's recommendation and it was delicious. The restaurant is clean and nice inside.

Our server Bryeanna turned a meal into a fantastic dining experience. The drinks were always full, spaced out our courses very well and gave us the time to enjoy date night. Make sure you ask to sit in her section the next time you visit. We both started out with a classic ceases salad and I had some bread and butter. Both good. When it came to making a decision on dinner, everything looked good so I asked for a recommendation and Bryeanna nailed it with the Red Snapper Pontchartrain. It came with grilled shrimp, pieces of crab and dirty rice. My wife had the naked mahi-mahi and vegetables. She said it was very good as well. We finished with the Crème Brûlée and it was well worth it even though we were both already full. The restaurant was buzzing but not so load that we could not hear each other speak. The decor is always a nice change of pace as well.

Stopped by here on a Friday night and had a great experience. I'm glad we made reservations as the restaurant was very busy and continued to stay busy all night. We were seated right away and had our server within a couple of minutes. Started off with the crispy alligator which was delicious and some gumbo that had just the right kick to it. Our main entrees were came out within a good amount of time (considering how busy it was) and tasted great. Definitely big portion sizes here. The restaurant itself is nice, maybe a little dark and can get slightly noisy when busy. In my opinion, the prices are a bit high for what you are getting. The portions are big and know seafood can be more expensive but for the bill to be around $150 for two people for 1 app, a soup, salad, and 2 entrees, seems a bit high.

Great Ambiance and excellent the service was phenomenal all the food and waitress were on point
