Saturday nights are very nice here. There is a DJ and good music. Drinks have good prices and staff were extremely polite and smiling. It is a good place to have a beer afterwork or to come to dance like nobody is watching. I would return for sure.

After a very fun night with a perfect Aperol Spritz we came back at 4 pm sunday Oct 27, bar at the entrance. We ordered another very expensive) Aperol and got a pale glass of something. After asking to add a hint of Aperol the bartender told me he's going to charge me for another regular Aperol. Too bad having good looking, but bad bartenders in this facility. Or he was just not happy to serve people over 60. Bad service which destroys all the good service before.

Short version: avoid if you’re a person of colour. Longer version: I’m a gay man visiting Dublin for the first time and was recommended to go here by a friend. Walk up to the door, and the security guard asks if I’ve been here before. I say, “No, I haven’t.” Security guard responds: “Go somewhere else, you’re not welcome here.” I was taken aback and figured I misunderstood him, so I asked for clarification. Security guy says, “this is a gay bar, you’re not welcome here, go somewhere else.” I explained I know it’s a gay bar, that’s why I came here. The security guy thinks about it and lets me in. But the whole thing was so off-putting, I decided to leave after a minute, before getting a drink. Was in no mood to spend my money in there after that encounter. I’ve been openly gay since I was a teenager and there was no reason for the security guard to think I wasn’t gay, and to do so in such a hostile manner. The only thing that set me apart from the demographic in there was that I’m pretty visibly South Asian. Not saying they’re definitely racist, but you learn to develop a sense for these things, and, well… It was all for the best though, because I ended up going to The George (a few minutes away), a much better gay bar, which was livelier, welcoming, and all around a good time.

Good place to grab a drink and feel comfortable while you go about whatever it is you're doing. If you don't identify as straight or bisexual, then it's got a good casual, but fun, vibe. I would recommend checking it out. It also has a younger crowd.

Security was on the phone, the bartenders weren’t busy and chatting, no service after 15mins. The bar was not busy at all, end up leaving go across the streeet to Pennylane, much better service.

Can do with a bit of cleaning downstairs. Prices are on the high side, 7.40 for a pint and then the audacity of asking for a tip after waiting for a drink for 10 mins ? Making faces if you don't tip, rude servers. DJ is fabulous on Friday - Ariana Grindr is amazing. Must visit and legendary lgbtq pub in Dublin.

Nice atmosphere, drinks and music. Overall a good gay pub and welcoming to anyone…usually. The 1 star rating is just to try and bring attention to management about the security/door staff working there. There seems to be so many hard men employed in this industry who certainly do not have the skills to deal with the public, and by the looks of other reviews here, on FB and TripAdvisor, the issues with unprepared door staff in PantiBar seem to be recurring. I was kicked out for dancing and accidentally hitting a bouncer with my hand (I was facing the other side and didn’t see anyone getting close to me). He approached me, no badge or identification on sight, asking me to go outside. I had no idea who that person was as he had no visible ID and didn’t introduce himself so I replied “no, I don’t know you, who are you?” which resulted in him pushing me out of the pub while all my friends stood there incredulous. Needless to say our night ended right there. A disastrous ending to a lovely Saturday birthday celebration (yes, and it was my birthday). Rory/PantiBliss, you can do better than this.

Nice place, i was expecting something extravagant inside because the outside is sooo GAY, but actually, inside it feels like just a very nice bar with some lgbtq+ decoration elements. Good service, really nice idea with the smoking terrace.
