Waterfront American bar with great views & oysters
"For after-work drinks, I head to P.J. Clarke's to mingle with smartly dressed young professionals while taking in waterfront views over the Hudson." - Sophie Mendel
"You’ll find the same great burger and old-school decor here as at the original P.J. Clarke’s in Midtown, but you’re really at this Brookfield Place spot for the outdoor seating on the Hudson. Get the “Cadillac Burger” with bacon and some beers at a table overlooking the harbor, where you can sit and think about who owns the weirdly huge yachts right in front of you." - matt tervooren
"While you were running along the river, you may have seen some very nice boats, and briefly wondered who considers a yacht to be a practical means of transportation. Well, you can find out while sitting outside at PJ Clark’s. This classic burger spot - the original Midtown location has been around since 1884 - has a bunch of outdoor seating overlooking a yacht harbor in Battery Park City, so while you’re eating a burger with smoked bacon and a fried egg, you can catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse into yacht life." - matt tervooren
"An expansion of the New York institution, the Manhattan oyster bar at Brookfield Place offers beer and bacon roast littlenecks, ginger scallion oysters, and peel-and-eat shrimp as part of an 1,890-square-foot extension of the preexisting P.J. Clarke’s on the Hudson." - Emma Orlow
"I saw that New York institution P.J. Clarke’s is opening a Manhattan oyster bar today, March 14; the new 1,890-square-foot extension of the preexisting P.J. Clarke’s on the Hudson sits in the Brookfield Place shopping complex and you enter through 250 Vesey Street. The menu highlights beer-and-bacon roast littlenecks, ginger-scallion oysters, and peel-and-eat shrimp, and the space features nautical-inspired design elements along with, as a spokesperson says, a “brigade of boisterous shuck-masters.” The oyster bar will operate Monday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m." - Emma Orlow
