Ozone Coffee Roasters is a lively Shoreditch hub where artisanal coffee meets an all-day menu of creative, delicious brunch and lunch options in a bright, airy space.
"The bike storage situation at Ozone Coffee is enough to make you look around, clutch your GoPro and ask aloud, “Am I… in the Netherlands?”. This exemplary bike rack is tucked inside the coffee shop’s patio, off the road, and has plenty of space. Which is great because you’ll want to be at this Bethnal Green cafe for a while, with a smoked fish kedgeree in front of you, a slice of doorstop-thick banana bread, a V60 coffee, and a copy of Cycling Weekly. "We don’t know if we can, in good conscience, send someone to Ozone Coffee in Bethnal Green and not tell them to get the smoked fish kedgeree. So yes, head to this spot to drink some of the best coffee in London, but also, get an extremely tasty breakfast too. Snag a space at one of the alfresco benches when the sun is out." - oliver feldman, rianne shlebak
"Ozone is that rare place where nobody—gluten-intolerant or highly tolerant—has to compromise. It’s one of London’s best coffee shops, with a light, bright interior, bike storage for fearless Bianchi-based commuters, and a great all-day menu. They bake their own seeded gluten-free bread which can be swapped into other dishes or topped with eggs. A couple of larger plates are usually gluten-free too—like smoked fish nasi goreng with a fried egg and crispy pork." - heidi lauth beasley, sinead cranna
"The original Ozone still stands up as the most reliable all-day haven in Shoreditch, when you need respite from Shoreditch. Open from 7am and serving until 3pm, there are the usual takes on Turkish eggs, granola, and stuff on sourdough. But then you’ve also got QCH-inspired mince on focaccia with piccalilli and gouda—a light start to any day—as well handmade pasta at lunchtime, smoked trout salad, and a consistently decent fried chicken burger." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"Shoreditch is chock-full of cafes, restaurants, and concepts serving things for brunch. Ozone is easily among the best and most comfortable. Its all-day menu is full of sweet and savoury dishes that suit the late or laid-back riser and ticks the boxes marked bacon, bread, and Burford Brown eggs. Given its location, it’s a middle ground for mid-afternoon debriefs or restorative plates before going at it all over again." - jake missing
