Ouzo Bay is an upscale Greek seafood haven in downtown Baltimore, serving fresh, flavorful dishes with a lively atmosphere and creative cocktails.
"Baltimore-based Atlas Restaurant Group, which had a strikingly similar incident occur at Greek seafood spot Ouzo Bay in 2020, has affirmatively committed to 'NOT' having a dress code at its forthcoming D.C. bars in the Moxy hotel." - Tierney Plumb
"Atlas Restaurant Group, which was slapped with a discrimination lawsuit last week by a Black woman whose 9-year-old son was denied entry at Greek seafood spot Ouzo Bay because an employee flagged the boy’s athletic shorts." - Tierney Plumb
"After multiple construction delays, Baltimore’s Atlas Restaurant Group debuted Ouzo Bay, an upscale Mediterranean seafood restaurant, in the River Oaks District last week. It sits right next to sister spot Loch Bar, and they’re both chic new additions to the neighborhood. Ouzo Bay channels the breezy Mediterranean tavernas of Greece thanks to a palette of pale creams and oceanic blues complemented by coastal accents like seashells and coral. Ouzo Bay occupies the larger of the two spaces at the corner of the building, taking up 7,000 square feet. The dining room offers seating for 275, along with a private dining room with space for 30 people and spots on the patio, which features an ivy-covered trellis and an indoor-outdoor fireplace." - Mai Pham
"Nearly a month after it was originally expected to make its debut, ritzy new River Oaks seafood restaurant Ouzo Bay has finally arrived. The restaurant kicked open the doors for its first day of service on Wednesday, according to a Facebook post, after a series of construction delays forced the restaurant to push back its planned opening date of June 17. The Greek-inflected, seafood-obsessed restaurant hails from Baltimore, and sits adjacent to sister concept Loch Bar. As Eater reported back in May, the restaurant is known for its menu of Mediterranean fare that ranges from charcoal-grilled fish to classic offerings like hummus, dolmades, and spanakopita. According to its website, the restaurant also has a pretty strict dress code that bans women (sorry, “ladies”) from wearing “baseball caps or beanies,” and prohibits the wearing of activewear after 5 p.m. Sweatpants, hoodies, flip flops, and “clothing with vulgar language” is also verboten. Ouzo Bay is now open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight." - Amy McCarthy
