Ostrich Farm is a vibrant Echo Park eatery serving inventive New American small plates in a cozy setting, perfect for a casual night out or brunch. Â
"We love the fun and casual atmosphere at this neighborhood restaurant, which sets itself apart care of its bright white facade in a stretch of dark buildings on Sunset. Inside, a forest green banquette hugs one wall, while a marble bar graces the other, which are all elegant touches from husband and wife team Jaime Turrey (aka Monsieur Egg, the one-man pastry, and egg cart) and Brooke Fruchtman (formerly a VP at LACMA). They do not serve ostrich—the restaurant is named after an old railway that led to Griffith Park—but rather a selection of flatbreads, salads, meat mains like beef pot pie, and their own take on pork ossobuco. Brunch is a mix of tartines, sandwiches and salads, savory bowls, and breakfast classics like brioche French Toast and blueberry pancakes (plus lemon and ricotta)."

"Ostrich Farm, Echo Park. Ostrich Farm is a casual neighborhood restaurant right off sunset. The menu holds a great list of ever changing small plates and starters such as mussels, flatbreads, pork rillettes, and pork/veal meatballs. For those more hungry the braised beef pot pie or half roast chicken are staple menu items. A long white marble bar hugs the right side of the room and is perfect for one/two people to beat the waitlist on most nights. A warm atmosphere at night and bright sunlit room during the day it's a great spot for both dates and families. They serve breakfast and lunch till 2 and dinner 5 till close but are closed on Mondays.Photos: Lauren Moore"
"This Sunset Boulevard gem is still kicking with a killer online ordering system that comes replete with relatively affordable wine pairings. The classic half roasted chicken comes with fingerling potatoes and apple fennel confit." - Euno Lee
