We came here two nights in a row it was so good! They have gluten free pasta available. We went with seafood dishes and they were all excellent. The gluten free chocolate dessert was also delicious

Excellent choice of restaurant, predominantly seafood, but also for typical romantic food “di terra”. I enjoyed the atmosphere typical Trasteverina. Service was good standard everyone was helpful. I would come back again. Try the bottarga antipasto. The place is slightly noisy but probably because of the good wine list that is making people rise the voice level. Good selection also for sweets - dolci.

Osteria La Gensola is a fantastic spot! The service was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in, and the staff made us feel right at home. The food was simply delicious – every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The seafood pasta was a standout, but honestly, everything we tried was great. The cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. If you're in Rome and looking for authentic, flavorful Italian food with excellent service, this place is a must-visit!

Highly recommend if you are gluten free. They have a menu that clearly states their GF options. Was able to get delicious gluten free spaghetti carbonara. They also have a gluten free chocolate cake on the menu for dessert and lots of homemade gelatos. Wonderful roman restaurant friendly to the celiac community...as most Italians are!

Had lunch here on a Saturday. The food was incredible and the servers very kind and patient. We got the only open table on the terrace and passed a long happy lunch here. Pasta was delicious (I had the spaghetti allergy condole) and the wine recommendation perfect. Sorry no food pictures, trust me.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, great (seafood oriented) menu, and extensive wine list - you will eat and drink well here!

Between visits I dream of the deep-fried artichokes (carciofi alla giudìa), superb tiny tuna meatballs in a tomato and smoked provola sauce, and rigatoni coda alla vaccinara at this simple, family-run osteria on a cobbled piazza in Bohemian Trastevere. Seafood arrives daily from the south coast and desserts, including an authentic cassata, come from Sicily twice a week.

Went there on a Sunday night with my boyfriend. It was very quiet, but we were not the only customers that night, two other tables were occupied. The atmosphere was very uncomfortable, no music was playing, quite a number of staff lingering in the main seating area, just awkwardly watching us choose from the menu. When it was time to order, they were very pushy trying to make us order more. They gave us bread in a brown bag, but it was not fresh and very dry and charged €4 for this. They continued watching whilst we ate and when we had dessert one of them shouted when he saw I was eating one of the plates wrong. I do not recommend this place because although the food is very good, the atmosphere is super uncomfortable and I wouldn't go back here. I actually think the only time I saw the staff happy was when we paid and left.
