i had a pleasant experience in this place. the food was very good quality. if you want to get the cold meats and cheeses platter i would recommend the buffet one because you can get more variety of things. the side veggies were a bit disappointing. the pasta was good, flavourful and a big portion too. we had to wait for a long time between the appetiser and the main course.

Classic Italian restaurant with dishes from the South, Puglia. Incredible pasta, tomato sauce and salad selection. Great prices, friendly service and away from the business of central Milan. Highly recommend for an authentic, memorable dining experience.

A cosy and friendly restaurant that seems super popular with families and locals - didn't feel touristy at all. Original and cute menu, delicious Puglian home cooked style pasta / meat / bean dishes! I went for the Timbale (Maccheroni al forno) and it was so tasty. Generous portions and food prepared with a lot of care. Tasty appetisers and rosato wine. Friendly service, even though felt a tiny bit rushed given how busy it was. All in all, excellent value and a wonderful spot for a down to earth meal near Milan Centrale 🚄

We spent an amazing evening in that restaurant. Delicious food, great Italian atmosphere, the food was very tasty and generous and the staff is so friendly and patient. My mom and I really enjoyed our time there. We recommend !

Not perfectly italian, but very deliciously, very good and fast service, normal ambiance. Prices are normal, not expensive. Try everything;)

Solo stopover lunch in Milan, post Duomo pre train. Had: spinach anchovy pasta and meatballs with the house red. Pasta was delicious, I have no other way to describe it. I like anchovies, but the taste was not overpowering, so would be good for even someone who doesn’t love anchovy’s. Meatballs were also very delicious, a little drier than I expected, but still very good.

Great place !!!! Bravissimo ragazzi and Gracie mille! Everything was just super delicious. I have ordered veal steak.... amazing! The scamorza was also super! There is grappa baric unique one!!! Interesting beer and wine selection. Guys was very friendly and polite! Strongly recommend that place!

Terrible customer service - typical place where the manager is an old dude who has 0 knowledge about customer service. The restaurant was empty and I asked for a table with a proper chair not a bench because I have backpain when sitting on a bench. This dude (aka manager), couldn’t offer me a table with a proper chair because they are for more than 1 person. The restaurant was literally empty with plenty of tables having a proper chair. I wish this kind of place starts having 0 customers, and let’s see what this dude will offer when asked for a table with a chair not broken benches….

I don't understand the lackluster reviews. We dined here during our recent visit to Italy. The food and staff were fantastic. Simple deliciously prepared pastas and desserts. This place also has a number of dishes prepared with horse meat - not our cup of tea, but very popular in parts of Italy. We had three different pasta dishes and our daughter had meatballs. Plus we had a mozzarella appetizer. Everything was fresh and scrumptious. The restaurant has a pleasant rustic/midcentury modern feel, cozy and clean. Lots of locals were dining here when we came. Our server Valentino was incredibly friendly and spoke decent English which was very helpful. He couldn't have been nicer to our 4 year old - she loved him. This place is wonderful and you should eat here!

As an American who has visited Milan occasionally over the years, I can highly recommend this place to you. My wife is a major pasta lover, and the times we've been here, over the years, they have always been totally terrific in terms of quality and value. The pasta is tops, as are the beans. (Don't head here if you're looking more for typical pizzas, lasagnas, etc.); but for hearty meals, starting with a big bowl of pasta & beans, you'll be pleased. Meat courses come second, and I was slightly disappointed that (around 9PM) one of the menu items (Beef Meatballs in sauce) was already gone, but the suggested replacement (Beef Roulade with sauce) was so good we actually ordered a second serving. (Truth be told, my wife is a lighter eater than me, but we did polish off the two orders of the Roulade, along with a small salad). They do have a salad bar, which we've never tried, as the small dinner salad seems sufficient for our needs. No one restaurant is perfect for everyone, but you can view the official website of the Osteria here (http://www.osteriadellapastaefagioli.net/#!__page-1) and get a good idea for yourself if the offerings are what you'd like. Their menu will, if you click through the Italian pages, advance to show you a good English version. I also considered the wine prices reasonable. It's located approximately 10 blocks northeast from the Central train station, walkable if desired, but also located near the end of tram line #1, so you can easily get to it that way. I recommend it!
