Old Kőrössy Fish Restaurant

This is a beautiful riverside restaurant with a warm center of the village feel. We were greeted right away and the service was great! FOOD: Fish Stew: This is a staple of the whole country and Szeged has the best! This restaurant delivers on that promise. The soup was a little basic at first but with some spice it really came alive! Always a must when visiting. Mixed Grill for One: This was cooked to perfection! The chicken with the bacon was so crispy and delicious! The schnitzel was also delicious! The potatoes and rice were also very well done! Overall this was an experience that I look forward to every time we are in town! Daniella was also super nice and gave some great customer service :)

The food was okay I guess but not the best, probably I ordered a wrong menu, perhaps other menu were better. The mixed grilled fish felt a bit raw and mixed vegetables and fries were a bit too oily. Pancakes were okay but the sauce was a bit too much and sweet. The price is normal for this kind of restaurant, not too expensive. Overall, it’s a good place with nice design.

We came here for a Sunday lunch and was very excited to try their fish soup. We found so many fish bone in the soup, which was supposed to be none. Seasoning was a bit off too. Then we had bacon wrapped chicken. It was nothing special, chicken was a bit dry. Then we had squared pasta with curd cheese and fried diced bacon. Not much curd cheese to be found. Service was really slow, as it was mentioned in many reviews. View was really nice and enjoyed the atmosphere, but wouldn’t recommend this place for gastronomy purposes.

I went there on the sole purpose to taste the food here on recommendation by friends. The food was excellent, the place was nice and clean, the atmosphere was great, the choice of music in the background was very sublime. Waiters spoke English. It was worth travelling for 4 hours to get the best fishsoup and fish neck ever.

Fantactic food quality. Nice staff! Out waitress Rita was extraordenarly helpful and kind. Will come back again for sure.

Fantasztikus kiszolgàlàs. Gyönyörü környezet. We were cared for like royalty. The athmospere was amazing and the river view is to die for. I recommend that place to friends and families and will be back in the near future. Thank you Nora Wykes

Good fish soup! The second dish was rather average at my second visit. Nice environment and attentive staff though. Service fee is added to the invoice - my bad, we added it to the total again, so we paid it twice.

We had a very nice experience here, food was DELICIOUS!! and the staff very polite and proffesional. The atmosphere calm, slow music in the background with a nice view at the Tisza river, I would totally recommend this place.
