"Let's be honest. It's so much fun to say the name of this restaurant. Inflections aside, Oh! Calcutta undeniably has the best Bengali food in Delhi. Oh! it's delicious! Their specialty is seafood, but definitely try the Koraishutir Dhokar Dalna (lentil cakes) and papaya chutney. Oh! and be prepared to wait without a reservation."

We have been visiting this restaurant since it's early days, even before they changed location. Have always loved their food and thankfully they have maintained their standards. Their Poila Baishak, that is the Bengali New Year buffet, has been a favourite affair for our family and as always, this year too, we attended it. It is popular and do make reservations, to avoid having to wait. Though we often visit the restaurant for their ala carte menu, the buffet gives us the opportunity to try a number of dishes at the same time. Almost every dish was excellent and got the approval of my family's extremely high standards! Their Fish Fry, Mutton Biryani, and Kheer were absolutely delicious. Do try them when you visit. They have a liquor license and their barman mekes a mean LIIT. Service as always was excellent, attentive and helpful without being obsequious. There's no doubt that I will be visiting them often in the years to come.

Best and authentic one and only brand in Delhi serving Bengali cuisine. Totally nomnom-able. 🤭 Go for the Sunday brunch buffet (₹1345++) as it will offer the best of everything they serve. Must try ‼️ Gondhoraaj lemon soda ‼️ Wide range of choices in desserts. Staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and are great with their suggestions. This os the same one which used to operate from Nehru place Eros so the quality is top-noth.

Foreigner friendly! Food was safe, no stomach issues afterwards for our party of four. We had a fantastic meal here and they were able to accommodate less spicy on the curries. The jackfruit biriyani and gruer ice cream were amazing!

Lovely place in Delhi that transports one to the alleys of Kolkata. The food is great, and the service of the staff is right up to the standards of any dine in restaurant.

This was my fourth or fifth visit to the restaurant, but my first with my family. I've noticed the buffet has evolved over time, with the price fluctuating from ₹900 to ₹1300-1400 per person. While the selection seems to have decreased, I observed that the prawns were smaller compared to previous visits. The mutton biryani, unfortunately, fell short of expectations. Special mention: The desserts. The payosh and bhapa sandesh were awesome. However, the buffet overall was excellent, culminating with a delightful paan. Despite being a weekday, the restaurant was quite busy, and we had to wait for fresh luchis, suggesting a slightly slower kitchen. Service, however, was commendable. The servers were attentive and responsive. Most importantly, the authentic flavors remained consistent, which is what I truly appreciate about this restaurant.

Best Kolkata style mutton biriyani and prawn cutlets. Good Bengali cuisine.
