Oggi Gelato

This was my first time and this is already a spot I want to go back and try more of! Their gelato is authentic and delicious. The staff was incredible, and you could tell they truly love what they do. Between the choices of a cup, cone or waffle.. of course I went with the warm waffle. Topped with your choice of creamy gelato, and then decadent chocolate, and powdered sugar. It was as good as it looks! They also have a gelato cart that you could rent for parties which I thought was super cute!

The gelato was absolutely incredible! It tasted just like the gelato we had in Italy! The flavors are organic and authentic! We recommend the pistachio, cappuccino, and the cookies gelato.

Do you want to eat an excellent Italian ice cream? They opened an ice cream shop in Norwalk..Italian made ice cream.. like it is done in Italy..eating their ice cream makes me feel less distant from Italy..and then do we want to talk about the girls who work there..especially Mariangela and Domenica..they know how to advise you and let you taste their delicacies.. polite and very kind and always with a beautiful smile.. praise also to Carlo.. a nice guy and always smiling.. having contact with the public is not easy.. but believe me... they have professionalism and kindness in the heart... I recommend you to go and enjoy their excellent ice cream...excellant.. I can't do without it anymore

Without a doubt the best Gelato I've had outside of Italy, the quality and taste is phenomenal! Tried a couple of flavors and they all hit the spot, I especially loved the pistachio it was super rich and nutty. I see myself going back here plenty during the hot summer months.

I’m so happy Oggi Gelato chose to open their first U.S. location in Norwalk! This is by far the most authentic Italian gelato I’ve ever had in Connecticut! We went the day after their grand opening, and though they were sold out of a few flavors from the success of their event, they were working hard to create fresh batches for the day. We loved how fresh the flavors were, and it’s easy to tell that they use real fruit and high quality dairy in their products! I had the strawberry cheesecake, and my fiancé had the stracciatella in brioche made by one of our favorite local Italian bakers - I’m so glad that they found each other, because it’s a powerhouse of an Italian duo. We also tried a small cup of their peanut butter flavor, and it was so fresh and nutty compared to American peanut butter flavors! They have fresh chocolate on tap, and you’ll definitely want that inside the cone or as a topping! The prices are so reasonable for the quality you get here, and the staff is so passionate about their product. The gelateria is beautiful inside, and there’s also a few tables to enjoy outside. I already can’t wait to come back!

Yes, the gelato is outstanding - don't miss pistachio...just fantastic (the Amarena (cherry) is tasteless). Yes, the service is willing and able. Yes, it's the best gelato this side of Milan. What is odd is the decor. Some elements are cool and contemporary, while others like the worn faux Persian rug, the toys from the 1920s and the rusty shelf from a local deli...just don't make sense and clutter more than decorate. They also sell Paolina Spread - the label is all in Italian and one has no idea what that is. If they had a sign explaining that it's a type of peanut butter, it would fly off the shelf (assuming you're ok with the $19.95 price).

Very nice spot o good tasting fresh gelato. The service is very good and the staff is very friendly. They have a wide variety of flavors to choose from and they offer gelato in a brioche same as in Italy.

Amazing , phenomenal, delicious , etc !! So worth the drive. You can tell the gelato is authentic. So creamy & smooth , definitely made with lots of love. Beyond 5 stars !!! It’s a 1000+/10.

I've heard great things about this authentic gelato so I stopped in to give it a try. The shop was decorated for Halloween. It was busy but we were allowed to sample some flavors as it was our first time. They also gave us a rewards card to stamp with every purchase. The ice cream was delicious and the staff was great. The bathroom was super clean and there was a plaza parking lot. We ordered two small gelatos in a cup. They were about $6.50 each. It was more than enough. We couldn't finish it and took them home. This an awesome place to stop for your Gelato cravings

Wonderful gelato shop. Authentic, rich and luxurious flavors. You can sample as many as you'd like. Gelato is rich, flavorful and velvety. The salted caramel was my absolute favorite. Sweet and salty with a caramel finish. It was heavenly. The chocolate complimented the caramel nicely. It was a milk chocolate flavor. I sampled the vegan dark chocolate one and it was good but I love milk chocolate more. I also sampled the strawberry (my favorite fruit flavor) and mango. I don't think any were horrible but my choice was pretty solid. Their hot chocolate is what hot chocolate should be. Thick, creamy and velvety with a big chocolate flavor! Next time I go I will get a cappuccino. It was too late in the day for me to get one this trip. There's a cute cafe seating area. There was a group of teenagers there which is nice to see. It must be a popular hangout spot for younger crowds to grab gelato, coffee or hot chocolate. Better than any Starbucks and they serve gelato. I enjoyed my gelato in 28 degree cold weather. I can't wait to go back when it's nicer outside.

3 stars only and only because unbearable music that created unbearable atmosphere. When I asked young lady, who was preparing our gelato, why such loud music she answered "we can turn it down for you". But I sincerely wanted to understand why the music is so loud so I asked again. She responded "if more people come, we will need to turn it even louder". Now I was really puzzled so I asked once again why. She looked at me trying to find an answer and after a pause said "because" and then had nothing else to add. Now look, I like music and I can pretty much listen to any kind of music, but when it is so loud in such small place where you cannot hear person next be to you speak and have to order your gelato almost screaming, that's just poor judgement on those in control of music. I must say that gelato was really good! We tried several different kinds and all were delicious and it reminded us from gelato we ate in Italy. So authentic it is, but the loud music is certainly not.

Oh my goodness...DELICIOUS!! Located on Westport ave, nestled in a plaza, there is plenty of parking by the shop. Don't be discouraged by the line, they just opened but they move quick! Great service, very helpful and friendly start to beginning. So many flavors offered: strawberry, cookies and cream, coffee, and cheesecake just to name a few. I ordered the cheesecake with fudge in the cone and let me tell you.... I have never tried something so delicious in my life. Worth all the hype. What attracted me was the gelato filled Brioche bun, however, when I got there I was surprised by the size of that thing! Nearly the size of my head! I recommend you come prepared with a big appetite if you plan to order that. I plan to come back to try that and many more soon.

Buonissimo Gelato! The gelato is excellent and they offer unique things on their menu; such as a Brioche Bun that is a must to try! The service is amazing, true Italian employees that speak Italian! To top it all off the seating and decorations are unique and cozy. Would definitely recommend this new spot, and will be coming back! This place lives up to the hype, glad I tried it out!

An excellent quality gelato, very flavorful and not overly sweet. We had 2 brioches, and it was very large. I would have rather taken half a size bun with half the ice-cream. One brioche is enough for 2 people! The servings are very generous, in line with the pricing. We returned a few days ago this time for a cone and one scoop, and that was much better in terms of portion. The cone was one of the best I have had in s while: very tasty, fresh, and never soggy! I still think fondly of my childhood memories of a Sicilian ice cream sandwich: more like a sweet brioche bun (no little top!) half open and one flavor well spread between. What a wonderful moment it was to just bite into it! If I had a suggestion, I would lose the hat on the brioche. Congratulations to the team and good luck or rather "in bocca al lupo!" We will certainly be back.

The spot is in a weird out of the way mini mall and it's way across Norwalk completely out of the way from where I live. The gelato was "ok" - it wasn't anything special and certainly does not live up to the hype. It's "good" but not excellent. The ambiance is great - very clean...the counter had one person taking orders and giving out the gelato and one guy taking payments. The front counter staff was friendly - the money guy not as much. If you live even 1 minute south of Norwalk - it's not worth the trip. You are better off getting a soft serve cone at Stew Leonard's! Go here instead - GELATO&Cioccolato

Amazing authentic flavors! However... teach your staff how to serve a two scoop in the proper cup or you'll loose customers. Not only on my dress in my hair from my dress #eatitthereandthisiswhathappens It was my servings that did this not anyone else's #dobetter

The customer service, the ambiance and the gelato are all top notch! First time going there and definitely recommend and plan to return with my family and friends to try out as well! The cheesecake gelato on a brioche bun is so delicious and they are very speedy at moving orders along too, so that's a big bonus. They also have a cute punching card, the 10th one is free! Which I love, especially during these hot summer days

I LOVE straciatella gelato and this was my least favorite variation I have ever had (out of probably 20). The chocolate mix-ins were sparse and they were also an odd texture. The cup you see in my picture was $8.50 and that did not include any toppings. There is a lot of hype around this place, but make your own judgement.

Visiting from out of town and I went back 2 days in a row because the gelato was so good! The workers were all so friendly and sweet. The hazelnut gelato was soooooo good! 10/10

The gelato is really delicious. I had the banana and hazelnut. The servers were courteous and worked at a fast pace to keep the line moving. It was crowded but was the perfect getaway on a hot, hazy, humid July afternoon.

I have no words to describe how good this place is, great customer service and the best Gelato in the area.. we try to go there at least once a week. We love it

I heard of this shop on social media and immediately had to try it. It was so good! The scoop i got was generous and definitely more than i could handle but i am not complaining because I devoured it. I got the dark chocolate & tried the banana (perfect combo if you get two scoops).The staff was so friendly. The shop was clean and had plenty of seating. We will be back!!

I tried Oggi Gelato today with my granddaughter. We both asked for the largerer cup...I had Sea Salt Caramel and she had Strawberry. I have to admit, our server put a large amount of gelato into our cups. When I got to the register I was told the price would be a whopping $20.50. Without flinching I paid and also gave a gratuity. The gelato was very good. It was creamy and tasted delicious. But think about this for a moment. If you take your two kids and you and your partner each have large cup, your bill is $41.00! For gelato, not dinner. A bit excessive I think. One other thing. They keep brioche on the counter at a level where they are being breathed on and possibly sneezed on. I brought this to our server's attention and her response was "Well they aren't out there too long". OK just long enough to be breathed on. If they bring the gelato to a reasonable price and move the unwrapped food away from the counter, perhaps they have a chance. If not, ciao bella!

Ambience is chic. Music is fire. Staff are friendly. The gelato is delicious! We will definitely be back.

Cute little gelato shop here in CT, looks to be family run. Super packed when we came. Nice flavor section and real Italian style served out of a container vs fluffed up in a glass case. Pistachio was very natural no green coloring here, very clean and natural. The vanilla with chocolate has little chocolate crisps in it. The only downside was the brioche it was stale and terrible so minus 1 star on that one.

Spectacular authentic gelato. With the trip. A true taste of Italy. Excellent customer service.

This place is fantastic- my husband, kids, and I agreed it's the best ice cream we've ever had. The decor and ambiance are so fun and feel like a European getaway, but the real star is the gelato. My favorites are the pistachio (they use no artificial colors, so it's not green!) and the hazelnut, my husband loves the mango, and my son was super impressed with the tiramisu. Can't recommend it enough.

Stopped in on a Friday night and the place was packed! Glad to see they are doing well. While I loved the consistency and texture of the gelato, I got 2 flavors and could barely tell them apart. I got cherry and tiramisu and they were both white colored. I tasted absolutely no cherry until I got 1 cherry. The tiramisu is not coffee flavored gelato, but I think it had chunks of lady finger, which was good. But also, overall needed more flavor. Also no samples so I couldn't have known, hence why I got a double to make sure I liked it. I prefer the gelato place in new Canaan but best of luck to them!

The gelato was delicious,fresh , it was decadent and it taste natural. The service is great as well. You can seat inside or outside. They have a good variety of vegan flavors.

It's the most horrible ice cream than ever tried in my life, I lived in Italy 10 years of my exact life in Rome, and nothing looks like the true Italian ice cream, don't eat with your eyes, it's horrible not spend your money on that business

The gelato is delicous and the menu is huge. The inside feels very warm and happy. The lady at the counter was very sweet and patient when my friend wa taking a while to choose a flavor. Would recommend!

Discriminating and rude. Excited to try as it was new. The gelato is pretty good however that does not take away the bitter taste of discrimination that their employees left. Being first time customers we asked if we could try their most popular flavor before purchasing. The girl helping us said there is no sampling allowed while 2 of her fellow coworkers are handing out multiple samples to customers. We didn't say anything about it at first but it seemed weird. After we checked out and sat to eat our gelato, we saw the same girl hand out samples to multiple customers. I went back to say something and while a gentleman tried to apologize, an older woman with black hair and an accent rudely jumped in and said "can I explain something to you" and proceeded to tell me that they don't give samples on Saturdays while employees were actively giving out samples... When I pointed out that same employee and others are currently giving out samples, she had nothing to say. Didn't even have the decency to apologize. It's not even about the sample, I can pay for a cup of gelato. It's about equality and decency which they lack. Beyond disappointed, and would not recommend this place if you are any skin color other than white.

Authentic gelato just like I've had in Italy . The dark chocolate and nocciola and dark chocolate and pioggia (chocolate chip with crunchy chips - extraordinary!) in a brioche were out of this world!! I would recommend a stop there if you feel like having delicious gelato.
