Great atmosphere and service! I ordered the Montreal smoked meat and the Holy Crab Bennys, and the hollandaise sauce was simply delicious! The eggs were perfectly soft, paired with a flaky, crunchy croissant. The fries had a wonderful texture (crispy on the outside and soft on the inside). Each ingredient's flavors stood out beautifully, even with the variety. For drinks, we had the Tropical Mango and Green Machine smoothies, both refreshing and bursting with flavor. I’d definitely come back again!

Google
Great service and atmosphere, but the food quality was quite disappointing. The eggs and potatoes (gluten free with pesto) were not fresh at all. Potatoes were dry, burnt and tough. The poached egg didn’t have the taste of a freshly cracked egg. Tasted like it’s been in the fridge for a while, lost its flavour and reboiled. Service is 5-star as in the end they made a fresh batch of potatoes for us that was actually fresh after we notified them of the poor quality the first time.

Google
A hip, trendy brunch spot with cool takes on typical brunch options. The breakfast poutines are a definite must try if you need that hearty fill to hit. Mango smoothie could’ve been blended more since it had some ice bits, but was overall absolutely delicious

I recently dined at OEB in Calgary and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant’s decor catches your eye. The place is beautifully decorated, with a unique character that adds to its charm. The ambiance creates a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. The food at OEB is delightful. The portions are generous, ensuring you get great value for your money. I particularly enjoyed the salmon and the Moroccan dish, both of which had a wonderful flavor and a bit of a spicy kick that added to the overall enjoyment. It’s clear that the ingredients are fresh and well-prepared. One of the highlights of my visit was the juice, especially the orange juice, which is organic and incredibly fresh. It’s a perfect complement to the hearty meals and adds a refreshing touch to the dining experience. While the food and atmosphere are excellent, be aware that there can sometimes be waits, especially during peak hours. However, the wait is usually manageable, and it’s worth it for the quality of food and service you receive. Overall, OEB is a fantastic place with great food and a pleasant atmosphere. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Calgary, it’s definitely worth a visit. The combination of well-decorated interiors, flavorful dishes, and fresh juice makes for a memorable dining experience. I look forward to returning!

I recently visited OEB Breakfast Co. on Fourth Street in Calgary, and it was another fantastic experience. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, complemented by great music that set a relaxed, cheerful tone. The staff were incredibly attentive, providing a warm welcome and ensuring the service was top-notch throughout. I decided to try the Farmer John's Scramblette, and it did not disappoint. The combination of fresh, perfectly cooked eggs, flavorful ingredients, and generous portions made for a hearty and delicious breakfast. It’s clear OEB puts a lot of thought and care into their menu, and the result is consistently excellent. If you're looking for a place with great food, a welcoming vibe, and attentive service, OEB is a must-visit spot in Calgary.

Google
One of my fave places to go for a quick brunch. Went here today and they looked busy (almost full house) but we got our food within 10 minutes! The service was quick so if I’m ever on lunch break downtown, I know where to go😋😋

Google
Was in Calgary for a short work trip and ended up visiting twice for breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful the atmosphere is neat although it does seem a little tight when it gets busy, and it will get busy. The food was great. I had the lobster poutine the first time and the breakfast gnocchi the second time and if I am ever back in Calgary I will be going again as the menu had many more options I would also like to try!

Google
Food is great, service was fantastic! We always go to Bridgeland OEB, we came to this downtown location this time and it was the best decision. First of all, you can get on waitlist from your phone so you do not need to wait in front of the store. We had croque madam and fruit crepe. We also had duck fat fries. Croquet madam was so good, the perfectly cooked eggs adds rich flavor. The crepe was also really good as dessert. Servers were amazingly nice, I had great time.

Yelp
Good and service were excellent. Ambiance not so much as we were seated at a table in the mall. Still would recommend. I'm

Nelson T.

Yelp
The waitstaff (Jay?) directed us to all of the best offerings including the lobster shrimp crepe and the crab Benedict. If you need more of a spacious vibe, sit and people watch at the indoor patio. Otherwise, enjoy the fun decorations inside. We were full afterwards

Jeff N.

Yelp
Staff, service and food are awesome. A favourite breakfast spot for those in the know

Yelp
This is rated as the best brunch place in downtown Calgary and now I concur! The acronym O stands for outstanding people, E for embracing evolution, and B stands for bold food integrity. I was able to get on their waitlist as number five and by the time we got here our table was ready. The restaurant is in an office building with pretty yellow umbrellas out front & a line out the door. Chef Mauro Martina, came here from Italy in 1982. He prioritizes a connection to fresh, local & genuine ingredients. We were tucked into a corner with a friendly waiter. Coffee in big mugs came quickly with the menus. The portions here look huge. The Benny croissant sandwiches look wonderful so the blue plates specials and the signature breakfast poutines. The most difficult part about breakfast is what to choose. I ordered pierogies with duck while my husband ordered lax lax of lox with fries. Brunch was abundant, exceptional and reasonable. My husband doesn't like eggs & is fussy re. breakfast spots, he is ready to come back here again!

Yelp
This restaurant isn't bad per se, but it was quite a bit underwhelming. Part of it may be because I made a special trip after looking up their menu online, and probably had too high of expectations. On my visit, I had the breakfast poutine with Irish coffee. The "Irish" coffee was served as a cup of coffee with a side of Baileys. Weird, but I guess it works for people who might end up with refills of coffee. As for the "poutine," my picture makes it look better than it was. Not much in the way of the toppings (there's supposedly some chicken there) and just wasn't super filling. Service was quick and I didn't have to wait, but I honestly would have been better off stopping at a random diner. Or Tim Hortons.

Nicole S.

Yelp
Waking up jet lagged and hungry this spot was a perfect start to our day. The menu was full of original items so deciding took a minute to read the whole thing over. We both decided on Benedict's . I got the truffle squash and he got the short rib. Both were over the top yummy! The server was super awesome and quick!

Monica M.

Yelp
Decided to check this brunch spot out in downtown Calgary, as many people left great reviews of the food. Ambiance was really nice, super busy location so reserve ahead, because you might have to wait to get seated. Food presentation was great and it tasted really good, though I wish they gave a little bit more wedges, as I found the portion size small for me. Price was also reasonably price for a downtown brunch location.

Guido L.

Yelp
Very fun place in downtown Calgary. Food was good. The fruit was pretty but didn't taste great. Everything else was very good. When we went it was crowded and the place is loud, so no privacy. Service was prompt and our waiter was friendly. I would go back here, but I will search for something else next time I'm in town. FYI very small restroom.

Raun D.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this eatery, but was left with a rather mediocre experience. The food arrived to my table cold. I was disappointed that the side of potatoes was eerily similar to McCain wedge-cut Superfries. The toast was dry (no butter), and came without spread. After taking my order, I never had a waiter check to see if my meal was ok or to top up my coffee. Overall, a very mediocre experience.

Gerald H.

Yelp
Breakfast time, this location is right down the street from our hotel making it the perfect choice, we were sat quickly and received our morning cup of coffee. The server was great and took our order quickly. I had the lobster scramble with spinach, the creamy sauce over it with the fresh cracked pepper was delicious, and light due to choosing the spinach instead of the potatoes, every bite was just delightful. My wife decided on the lobster crepe which was stuffed with lobster and shrimp and a light sauce over the top, very tasty and well prepared. Great start to the day

Yelp
OEB Breakfast is one of the most popular breakfast chains in the area and with good reason. They offer a variety of breakfast classics, poutines, and drinks. On this visit I tried a benny and french toast. The benny was a bit on the salty side, but the french toast was crisp and cooked just right. I would recommend OEB if you're looking for a nice breakfast spot with a variety of options in the downtown area.

Eddie F.

Yelp
Menu is extensive. Huge selection. Very good quality food and the portions are generous. It gets busy especially around lunch but the staff has been on their game the times I've been there. Will be going back there again.

Jade M.

Yelp
Super cute brunch spot and good size portions for a decent price. I was in a party of 2 and we made no prior reservations before coming and was able to be seated right away. I ordered the Classic Breakfast with a side of fresh fruit and I also ordered a mimosa as well. The interior of this place was adorable. Very, very cute. Staff was nice and friendly. Service was quick and efficient! The food was better than expected. Everything was seasoned nicely and cooked quite well. I really enjoyed my meal. Everything cost about $36 (including the tip)! I will say this place was about a 6 minute walk from my hotel and when I arrived it was located inside of a large building. A nice gentleman saw that my friend and I looked lost and directed us to the right direction. This location has two entrances. One entrance it is right off the street and very noticeable but, if you're coming the way I did you will have to enter the building, walk past the elevators, and take a left and you will find it. I'm happy I gave this place a chance!

Yelp
I highly recommend OEB. A very diverse and interesting breakfast menu. I ordered Pierogies and Duck that was delicious. Large thick chunks of wood-smoked bacon, duck confit, pierogies, microgreens, altopped with 2 eggs sunny side up! I left the restaurant with many wonderful tastes in my mouth. Go there!

Daphne D.

Yelp
Had the most amazing brunch and kick off to a visit with a friend home visiting from the UK. what a lovely place, fun and bright, but what made it exceptional was both the service as well as the food. Our server Bria was a joy, and provides us amazing guidance as it's a big menu with so many interesting choices. The attention and care she provided despite it being busy was pure excellence. We had a breakfast poutine, bulgogi eggs benny (not a combination I ever would have thought of, but oh my goodness) and we did have bonus treat of the fried pierogies. Definitely want to come back.

Robert G.

Yelp
Good choice for breakfast with our little family. The location was really busy when we arrived but we made a reservation with Yelp before arriving. The food we ordered was good but a bit pricey. I ordered the Soul in a Bowl and my wife had the Banana Toast. Both were delicious and flavorful. My wife also had a mimosa but unfortunately wasn't as good as we thought. The Soul in a Bowl consisted of a runny egg, potato wedges, bacon, spinach, and cheese. The food was great overall. Service was also nice from the young lady who served us. I'd recommend coming for breakfast but would skip the mimosas.

Patti D.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast based on my research and the recommendation of my hotel which was within walking distance. Glad I did. Cute interior. Great service. Best coffee I've ever had in a restaurant ams I've never said that before! One of the best servers I've ever had also, he did everything right and made my visit that much better! I decide to go with the shrimp and Lobster poutine scramble because I'm a sucker for anything Lobster. My server mentioned that there's a lot of potatoes and suggested that I substitute out half of them for either spinach or arugula, I picked spinach. Why not get some veggies when I can! The dish was good. The flavors were there. I would have liked to have had a little more Lobster but that's probably just me. I also would have preferred baby spinach and for it to have been sautéed, not raw, but again, just personal preference and you can probably request this. I would try something else next time. They are several other locations thru out Canada and even the states. Everyone here was very nice and they seem very organized and well run. They take reservations and they have a wait list as well.

Yelp
Stopped here before a flight. Great food, with lots of fun Canadian inspired treats! Great service and friendly staff.

Yelp
On our first full morning of our trip to Canada, before hitting the road to the national parks, my husband and I walked over to OEB for breakfast from our hotel. We arrived right before the morning rush, which was nice because we were seated right away. The staff were extremely kind and attentive. Everything on the menu looked delicious, but since it was our first time in Canada, I ordered the poutine Benedict-type breakfast - Gold Digga. it was absolutely delicious and quite filling. I subbed in half spinach to balance out the amount of potatoes and cheese. My husband ordered the Threesome, which came with a variety of classic breakfast items. We both were absolutely blown away by the taste and quality of the food. A great breakfast spot with wonderful service, hot, coffee, and delicious food.

Warzie L.

Yelp
Get the sesame tuna poutine on bed of half waffle fries, half arugula. Perfect flavor and texture combinations.

Ashlee F.

Yelp
Stopped in for our final breakfast before flying back to Nova Scotia. Service was a little slow at start but they were really busy! The atmosphere was great - lots of seating and room, decorated nicely. They have a decent size menu with lots of options. A little on the pricier side, but overall the food was great and it was well worth it. I had the scrambled crepe, it was a 10/10!

Lee K.

Yelp
OEB offers a wide variety of creative breakfast items. We had and like the following... "Do Not Even Go There" banana strawberry French crepe. It was delicious, but made with a precooked cold crepe that was not soft and chewy. Inside it had a custard filling and fresh fruit. It was topped with a light and fresh whipped cream and a side of real maple syrup. Egg scramble with lobster, shrimp, asiago, and hollandaise. This and other egg dishes are served with potatoes, but they allow substitutions. So, I opted for an arugula salad to balance the richness of this dish. The coffee was good and came with free refills. Service was excellent. Table seating was a bit off with very high table tops.

Rishu S.

Yelp
Delicious food it was fresh and came out quick. Nice vibes and the service was good! They were pretty busy and we didn't have a reservation but the staff was accommodating and gave us a table right away!

Latifa S.

Yelp
Poutine!! For the love of poutine. I came for their French toast or waffles. But I left actually loving their poutine. I hate/ dislike poutine. Or all things with fries. First place!!! Place was cute and inside a very busy bustling building across from stock exchange and Bow steer building. I didn't make reservations so I couldn't sit inside , rather got seated at their outside patio/ inside the building area. Completely different vibes than their restaurant. Minus that: food is the same. I got their trifle French toast and gold diggah poutine. They didn't have any lattes but just drip coffee. So drip coffee it is. I had no expectations for their poutine but turns out to be the most delicious thing I've ever had! I got it with half arugula and it was Irit mind blowing good. The jiggly runny egg, lemony sauce! Super tasty chicken. Bitterness of the arugula cutting the fries. It was the best / only poutine I've ever ordered AND consumed! I've ordered many before without eating. The French toast trifle was fun too. Coffee was a ok. Couldn't get a refill. Our waitress was quite busy inside. Bummer. But! Since I've tested the best poutine ever: I'm giving them 4 stars. I'll never poutine anywhere else. The best!!! Only thing missing is a latte!! Or a much stronger coffee.

Murray S.

Yelp
Food was great! Service was quick. The restaurant was clean and conveniently located.

Eric C.

Yelp
For my first meal after my 7 am flight, my friend took me to OEB. I was surprised by how large the menu was compared to Vancouver. I had the waterfowl bennies special and this was so good. The roast duck was flavourful. The croissant bun was fluffy and buttery. The truffle pate was really nice.

Nicole P.

Yelp
Incredible service and delicious food! We were there on a Sunday morning. I made the reservation earlier and we were promptly seated when my whole group was there. The food was overall amazing and the service was impeccable, even though they were super busy and it was a full house. The decoration of the space is cute; we sat in a giant egg which was great for pictures. I recommend going to OEB if you are around the area.

Katie R.

Yelp
Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about the duck fat fried herb potatoes, I was expecting something soggy and greasy, but that could not be further from the truth. These were in the top two breakfast potatoes I've ever had! They were crispy and crunchy, beyond flavorful, and the perfect accompaniment to soak up the brown butter hollandaise sauce from my eggs Benny...I'm drooling just writing this! With an very broad menu picking what we wanted to order was not an easy feat. After going back and forth between sweet and savory, deciding to get poutine because I was in Canada, and then deciding that eggs Benny are life, I ultimately ended on the Truffled squash Benny. This dish was very butternut squash forward, lucky for me, it's something I can't get enough of. The eggs (medium poach) were poached perfectly, fully cooked and no runny whites on the outside and runny yolk as soon as you cut it open. My mom ordered the threesome, with the French toast. The French toast had a bit of orange in the batter, I personally didn't like it that much, but she really enjoyed it and the addition of the whipped cream. She had asked for her bacon crispy and when it came out it looked pretty close to raw in spots, even to me, who likes softer bacon was pretty turned off by it. We asked for a new order that was fully cooked, it took a while but did finally came up and was much more appealing. Aside from the food, this place is all about the over the top novelty of being a breakfast spot. We're talking egg and waffle booths. Though we were sat at a regular table it was pretty fun to look around at all the bright colored and oddly shaped items around us. Highly recommend joining the waitlist on Yelp. We came on a Sunday morning after joining, and had a wait range of 14-28 minutes. We arrived right at the checkin time and after a few minutes of waiting for someone at the host stand, we were immediately taken to a table. Just in our short time at the restaurant, the waitlist jumped from about a 14 minute wait to a 51+ minute wait.

Amy T.

Yelp
My friend said OEB is one of the best breakfast spots in Calgary. There are multiple locations. I love how they have a waitlist option on yelp too, very convenient and we perfectly timed it driving in circles looking for parking. Usually street parking is available but it was difficult because of all the construction. There is a parking structure nearby maybe a 3 minute walk away. We were both super ecstatic to be able to sit in the famous egg seat! Service was great very welcoming. Ambiance was a little busy due to the weekend brunch rush. Their menu is abundant. So many selections of breakfast poutines! I ordered the Gold Digga and was very satisfied with every savory bite. A little on the heavier side because it's filled with thick roasted pork pieces, soft cheese curds, black truffle flavoring and brown butter hollandaise. So next time I come back I would definitely ask for the half spinach and half herb potatoes option. The potatoes were great crispy and very filling.

Afroza N.

Yelp
Met a friend for lunch and the place was lively and packed. Always recommend making reso's. Had the smoked salmon Benny and it was delicious!!! Portions were huge and tasted even better for dinner!

Logan T.

Yelp
Ambiance, fun but very tight, get comfy with your neighbours Service, quick not chitchatty (which we like, personal preference) Food, almost too many options, very good, consistent quality, drinks could be better One of favourites we love to take anyone visiting to this spot. Has something for everyone. Just wish the seating was a bit more spread out.

Dhara P.

Yelp
It's a great place for brunch if you are in Calgary downtown area. The food was great but a bit expensive for quantities given for vegetarian food. We ordered waffle fries in the side with burrito. Waffle fries were very good. Plenty of space to seat outdoor or inside, pretty restaurant and quick service even they are busy.

Linda S.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious. The portions are large It's my 2nd time there. I live in St. John's NL. I was visiting my daughter and her husband. I surprised them by meeting them and my daughter's in-laws who were visiting from California for breakfast. Can't wait for the next visit and it will be back to OEB for breakfast Linda Spurrell

Vikas S.

Yelp
Food was incredible. Recommend the traditional bennys ! Service was fast as well! And the ambiance was great loved how the place was decorated

Kamalpreet S.

Yelp
I think we'd all agree Chasing Chicken Poutine is the BOMB! Love their brunch options. The service: eh, BUSY that's all I'd say. Put yourself in the waitlist and go for a long walk and get hungry lol. The ambience is amazing

Jorge's B.

Yelp
Great downtown option for breakfast or lunch. Food comes out quickly and consistently every visit.

Dawn G.

Yelp
I came here while in Calgary one weekend. I joined the waist list before leaving the hotel so the wait to be seated wasn't long. The service and food was good. Eggs come "wet" in Canada so I definitely had to ask for them to cooked them longer. I would eat here again if I come back.

Shannon M.

Yelp
Awesome service, and the smoked salmon benedicts were to die for!! The place is so cute with all the decorations!

Meghan V.

Yelp
Fantastic food with lots of variety and choices! The quality is amazing! If you can, order a flat of eggs to take home -the yolks are a rich yellow, well worth the extra! I've been to all locations in Calgary and one in Vancouver, all excellent!!

Judith O.

Yelp
The food is always good here. Can't go wrong with it. Servers are friendly and pleasant. Even though is busy the place is always clean.

Lisa E.

Yelp
Super great! All of these places were super good, but I was on vacation and Yelp makesyou write like 100 words before it posts. So these didn't get posted! Such a shame!

Liza T.

Yelp
Sooooo goood!!! Great service! I do recommend a reservation if you can. Food was delicious and our waitress made great recommendations. This was the best spot we ate at during our trip to Calgary

T O.

Yelp
The food is always on point. Wait times are just way too long. Taking reservations would be so helpful.

Dayna R.

Yelp
Beyond highly recommend! This place is so good. The scrambled egg crepe was light and flavorful, and the soul bowl (I subbed half spinach for half the potatoes) was heaven in my mouth. YUM

E. Air B.

Yelp
Food and services was good the the price is very high for was we got and the food I is not very hot , just warm

Sami S.

Yelp
It's been a while since a had a really good breakfast. Everything came out fresh & effin delicious. Maybe it was the right time, chef on that shift or whatever- I'll take it. French toast trifle was brioche bread with lemon custard, berries, pistachios, torched pavlovas (reminded me of a custard pastry that wasn't overwhelmingly sweet). Holy crab benny with a spread of crab, dill, dijonaise. A little fishy, needed a squeeze of lime. Pasted on the toasted muffin delivered that light crunch with almost every bite. Croque madam- Sunny side eggs, rosemary ham, sharp cheddar, truffles, brown butter hollandaise, Spanish Manchego, black truffle carpaccio Chunky lobster scramble- rich, creamy scrambled eggs with a little sea thrown in. Pierogies & duck- reminded me of fried dumplings with pulled duck meat sprinkled with micro greens. Everything was seasoned well, not overly greasy or heavy for us. Maybe we got lucky and were in good company.

Chann M.

Yelp
There's always a bit of a wait but it's worth it every time. Service is speedy and the food and drinks are top notch. Yum!

Aarthi R.

Yelp
Great food. The apple juice was very good. Freshly made. Great choices for vegetarians! Great service. Very friendly. Amazing ambience

Jimmie D.

Yelp
Food was excellent and very busy during meal times. A few booths, small tables and a counter in the middle. Portions are generous.
