I heard about this place and wanted to try it for years. We got 6 flavors and they seemed really interesting/ideal for me, but while they were sorta tasty, the quality of the ice cream was really lacking (and the person with me agreed). I’m not an expert in this area, so I’m not sure what needs to be fixed, but it’s just not particularly good. For instance, cheap Aldi premium ice cream including special seasonal flavors is just better. Perhaps it’s an equipment issue. It was also a bit icy as though it had defrosted at some point. But I don’t think it’s enough to explain it. I’m glad I tried it, but I wouldn’t get it again or recommend it. The staff were kinda bizarre with their approach with customers and there were high tipping options which generally wasn’t a thing in NYC a few years ago. The place was really nicely decorated and had a decent bathroom, but I mainly went for the ice cream.

I love this place and the different varieties of ice cream. Posted my top three favorites. If you are a coffee lover, I definitely recommend the Coffee Crunch and the Coffee Sticky Bun. Angelo and Johnathan are very knowledgeable of the flavors, welcoming, friendly and generous. Staff keeps the location clean and well maintained. Family friendly and surprisingly new flavors. Highly recommend if you are spending the day at Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Ice cream was so good! Got the cookies and cream and was exactly what I would expect! Love that there are a few in the city to stop by

The popsicles were fine but the woman working there a couple weekends ago was super cold and rude to me and an elderly woman. She would eye roll and grunt and not look you in the eyes, acting like you interrupted her time alone even though there was no one there. Had this same experience at the dumbo odd fellows. Not sure what’s up with their hiring but they should be aware it’s a pattern.

The best ever ice cream I had was a unique combination of flavors: passion fruit, apricot, pistachio. Their scoops are big! Also a very nice location right next to the water and multi-level park area. One star off for storing the spoons on the street side in one box. Not only the dust gets on them but also one can't avoid touching several spoons when trying to get one. There should be a more sanitary way.

When I say the ice cream was great 10/10. But the employee gabby I think was the reason my experience was so great because of her. She deserves a raise for the great service and the comforting jokes was awesome 🫶🏾🫶🏾. Thank you for the advice as well girly.

If you have allergy don’t get ice cream there !!!! 5 star so rating wouldn’t be deleted if I can give them -5 star I would definitely do

Very rude staff. The girl taking the orders practically ignored an excited kid in front of her. Another order had hair in it. Regarding ice cream quality… that was really the worst ice cream I have had in a long time. Bad experience here. The location though, was great.

Really delicious spot for classic and novel flavors! The service is friendly and fast, and I appreciate they have small metal spoons for people to try ice-cream instead of single-use plastic spoons. This location is nice as it's right by the waterfront and Manhattan / Brooklyn bridge, so you can enjoy your ice cream outside! I came in the summer and was immediately drawn to their seasonal flavor: mango coconut sticky rice. It was super creamy and the coconut flavors really popped, though I wish the mango featured more prominently. A single scoop was a bit pricey, so this is definitely a spot to treat yourself (and for me, likely a spot to try any novel seasonal flavors). I would definitely come again!

I really enjoyed this small ice cream parlor. I stopped in after a long day of taking portraits in the area. It had been awhile since I stepped foot in Dumbo. But glad I did. The team all got classic cones and the vanilla was really great. The inside was really cool, so it was nice to beat the heat. I will return back here in the near future. Hopefully before fall gets here!

Decent sized ice cream shop near the water, so a really convenient location to stop by at on a hotter day. Unfortunately, many other people had the same idea, and the store was absolutely packed. It took ~20 minutes to get a scoop! I got a coffee and pecan crunch ice cream, and it was good. Strong coffee flavor which was great, and the pecans added a nice crunch. I do wish there were a lot more pecans though. Overall, not super special ice cream, and since it's such a good location, I expect the wait to always be pretty long!

The staff was really friendly allowing us to try a few flavors before deciding on our order. We got the brown sugar frappe flavor which was a flavor of the day and it did not disappoint. There are so many unique flavors to choose from that there's no way to go wrong. This location is also great right next to the park so you can get ice cream and sit by the water with a great view of Manhattan.

My friend and I were in the area and if we see ice cream, we can't pass it up! I was sad that they ran out of the vegan grasshopper pie flavor and I'm not even vegan....but I enjoyed their coffee and hibiscus flavors.

The flavors here are so unique. The fluffy peanut butter flavor was delicious and they had the perfect ratio of peanut butter to ice cream. The service is also great (funny & sweet) and the ambiance inside feels like an old-school ice cream shop. I love this place and if you want to try unique flavors come here!

As a lover of unique ice cream flavors, I'd been wanting to try OddFellows Ice Cream Co. for a while. This location wasn't busy on a Sunday (late) afternoon. The interior had red and white striped walls, a large lit up sign, and some seating. Most of the flavors were tamer than I had expected, and some of them had run out by that point in the day. My sister and I chose the Miso Cherry, and got a small cup to share. I really liked it, especially with the real pieces of cherry mixed in. My boyfriend said it tasted like someone had spilled soy sauce into ice cream, but inventive flavors aren't for everyone. Would definitely return to try more!

Ice cream was phenomenal and would certainly return for that and the ambiance. Service was quick!

A cute little story near the brooklyn bridge with a lot of unique flavors. I tested the banofee pie (my second favorite I enjoyed the banana and graham cracker flavors), the miso peanut butter ( really good and rich but I didn't want more than one taste of it since it was so rich) and the vegan coconut mochi mango (really good and the one I chose for a scoop! Got a little too sweet at the end) Prices are definitely a little steep and it was wild to me that the soft serve cost more than a scoop.

An ice cream float from OddFellows could not have been a better summer treat under the raging sun. We only saw signs for ice cream and boozy root beer floats plastered on the window outside, so it was a happy surprise to see ice cream floats on the menu. The loveliest workers there let me sample the matcha and coconut mango sticky rice flavors. My husband really enjoyed the latter, so we got that for our float. There were mochi bits in there to mimic sticky rice; it tasted nothing like sticky rice but the texture def added a little oomph. He also chose cream soda to go with the ice cream. We were blown away by how the worker poured the soda into our cup; we kept thinking it would overflow at any second but damn was she precise. We were thrilled that we got to take the remaining soda in the glass bottle to go. 10/10 would come back again for another float. Note: they only have b0oZy root beer floats.

Nice friendly service and really good ice cream. We tasted the almond poppy, vegan grasshopper, pistachio-apricot-passion fruit but ended getting the miso-cherry. Delish.

Lovely little ice cream shop that served quality ice cream with a good variety of flavors! They're known for their quirky, unique flavors that rotate. I suggest checking in advance if they have flavors you might like since sometimes the flavors are sooo unusual that not a single one tickles my fancy and wasn't worth the trip over. There's some seating inside and the service is always pleasant and quick. The queue can get long, especially if people are trying lots of flavors before ordering.

Not my favorite specialty ice cream place. It was not busy when we got there so we chatted with the employee (Luna?) about their ice cream offerings and ice cream in general. We had the tales marshmallow skies and the green hills of Pandan, two of the flavors part of the Sonic collaboration. About $14 for two smalls. The small was a lot for me but I think it's because they were too sweet.

We came in the nick of time before a group of kids came in. Managed to try some of the flavors and decided on cookie jar and the strawberry rose Sonic the hedgehog collaboration. I enjoyed the cookie jar as it's a mix of birthday sprinkle, cookie dough, cookies and cream which are some of my faves. My daughter enjoyed the strawberry rose but I thought it was a bit artificial. The sugar cone was delicious and must get with your ice cream. There is a bathroom inside.

I'm not even a big ice cream person, but I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with the flavors they had to offer. After sampling quite a few flavors, we went with the banoffee pie and coconut mango sticky rice. Banoffee pie was sweet and creamy and tasted like bananas, and the coconut mango sticky rice had chewy bits of mochi (?) that added to the texture.

Keepin it real out here in Dumbo My first time trying this expensive ice cream, actually we got it for our photoshoot, unfortunately dropped it before i had a chance to even try it. The workers were super cool and hooked us up with another scoop, that def made the ice cream taste better. The ice cream actually tasted great. I can appreciate all the classic & unique flavors. It was great in the winter, can't wait to grab a scoop in the summer and enjoy it by the water.

The flight is definitely worth it since it's less than double the price of a single scoop. The flavors are adventurous but can come a little too sweet and you can get tired of the flavor quickly. The place is really clean and a great place to hang out. However, it was a particularly cold day and we were waiting 30+ mins outside because there was a vague break time sign that didn't indicate how long the break would be. The employee also saw us waiting outside on his way in but instead of asking us to sit inside and wait a little longer, they let us stand outside for another 20 mins. Worst part is there was more than one employee working and they were both just in the back room while we froze outside.

OddFellows takes over the spot that Ample Hills used to be in-oh how I miss Ample Hills! I appreciate OddFellows variety of flavors, but have to say that in terms of flavor it is a bit lacking: I found a few of the scoops in my flight were icy. Not terrible ice cream per se, but definitely expected more since this place gets so much hype! Good service though.

I recently visited OddFellows on a weekend, which is conveniently located near the ferry. It's not easy to find kid-friendly ice cream flavor spots in the area, so I was excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, when I arrived, there was only one person scooping ice cream, resulting in a long line of customers. Despite the friendly staff, I couldn't help but be concerned about hygiene practices. I noticed that the ice cream cones were not wrapped in paper or provided with a napkin. Although the person serving wore gloves, there was still a possibility of cross-contamination if they touched other items before handling the cones. Additionally, customers didn't have the opportunity to wash their hands before touching the cones either. Taking these observations into account, I decided to order cups of ice cream for myself and my kids instead. Despite my concerns, the 3 ice cream flavors tasted delicious. I opted for the vegan option called the grasshopper, and it tasted remarkably similar to a Girl Scout mint chocolate cookie. I took a small bite of the dairy ice creams called strawberry and cookie and cream. The ambiance at OddFellows was quiet, and there were seating options for those who wanted to enjoy their ice cream on-site or take it to go. OddFellows only has one restroom available, which requires a code to access. Additionally, they offer the option to purchase alcoholic drinks. I really hope that OddFellows can make some improvements because it was quite disappointing to not have the option of getting ice cream in cones. Personally, I love cones, and it was particularly disheartening for my kids who were sad about not being able to enjoy their ice cream in a cone. It would have been great if they had offered samples of their ice cream, but I understand that it might not have been feasible due to the busy nature of the establishment. Providing samples could have potentially prolonged the wait time for customers, so it's understandable why they didn't offer them in that situation. Overall, I would consider coming back and try their other flavors.

Some of the best flavors come from Odd fellows, they have several unique flavors different from most of the parlors around in the city. Loved the cookies and cream it was extremely creamy and had no ice chips in the ice cream at all. Service was great the attendant let me know if any allergens existed in the foods

Some of the most unique ice cream flavors you'll find. The Banoffee Pie is truly a party, where the banana and dulce de leche flavors instantly jump out. The graham cracker crust adds a nice and surprising crunchy twist as well.

Maybe it's just me, but this place is just kind of average to me! Nothing wowed me and knocked me off my feet. Just tastes like regular ice cream. Yeah they have different flavors than your typical chocolate and vanilla but nothing that has me craving this place on a random day

We stumbled upon OddFellows and couldn't have been happier. The regular and soft serve ice cream were great and the service was great as well. The proprietor even filled my Camelbak water bottle and helped us with subway station directions.

After dinner, I wanted some ice cream & oddfellows was right across the street! There wasn't too big of a line so I decided to step in! The inside is pretty spacious, there are tables if you want to sit down & enjoy your ice cream right away! There were 2 workers - one scooping ice cream & the other was at the cashier but it was going pretty quick! One thing I noticed that I really liked was that the worker scooping ice cream changed his gloves every time!!! So now let's get to the GOOD STUFF, I got the flavor lamington which is chocolate ice cream, coconut flake & yellow cake pieces - I LOVED IT. We also tried matcha green tea ice cream & the exotic fruit sorbet (made with mango, passion fruit, guava & banana). I believe a single scoop was around $6 which wasn't too bad! I def enjoyed my ice cream & want to try out new flavors next time!

I was eager to get some unique flavor of ice creams. Settled for the saffron passionfruit. It was good, no doubt about it but for the price, I expected a bigger scoop. Definitely better off to cross the street and get something from another shop that has better flavors and quantity.

OddFellows was born from odd pregnancy cravings. The wife of one of the creators wanted savory ice cream she couldn't find anywhere in stores. So her husband contacted a chef friend, and OddFellows emerged. The original shop is in Williamsburg, but they are now so successful that they are in other parts of NYC and several other states, and ship through GoldBelly. I've had tons of flavors and I'm always excited to see what they do next. The buttery, velvety olive oil (it's good, I swear!). The crunchy, candy-filled or chocolate-filled bodega collection. Pistachio cardamom is another favorite of ours. They have a cake & pie collection (key lime, ricotta lemon sponge cake, and more). They have some that are more like fruity sherbet (exotic fruits). They also have a classics collection for those less adventurous (vanilla, chocolate, cookies & milk). They do a lot of fun celeb collaborations. ODB is their newest one and I'm excited to try it! The ice cream/ingredients are high quality. Creamy. Rich. Luxurious. You can't find them anywhere else. And if you can't get to a brick and mortar store, they arrive to your door fast, fresh, and frozen from GoldBelly.

This lil hidden gem is just awesome! The ice cream is so fresh, creamy and perfect! The staff is very helpful and down let you try any flavor they want you happy! Location is right in front of the water front, go grab your ice cream and enjoy it while walking and enjoying the Manhattan view. I vouch for it! Will return very soon!

This store can get very crowded sometimes, especially during the summer (not surprising given their prime location), but it's worth the wait for their incredible ice cream and interesting flavor selection. My current favorite is the exotic fruits sorbet (mango, guava, banana, and passion fruit), but they always have plenty of different flavors to choose from, both dairy/egg ice creams and vegan options. There are a lot of ice cream spots in this part of Brooklyn, but I usually end up here.

The Miso Peanut Butter was a surprise, as I was not expecting to be a fan. They have quite CREATIVE ixe cream flavors as well as dairy and gluten free options. Miso Peanut Butter - Sweet peanut butter and savory miso chips, this was indeed an interesting combination The Sink - Cream ice cream with chocolate and potato chips, wasn't a fan this is on the SALTY, savory spectrum Anyways, I definitely recommend y'all grab an ice cream cone to go!

Marking this as a place to revisit as their unique ice cream flavors don't disappoint. We made it in just before the closed for the night and had no crowds or lines to deal with. Johnathan was an awesome server as he kindly walked us through the flavors and made excellent recommendations. We enjoyed a flight of ice creams (6 flavors) and ALL the ones we had were excellent. At first I overlooked half the flavors as I didn't realize there were vegan options. Make sure not to be deterred from those. There are some great flavors on that list. Tropical fruit was amazing and reminded us of Hawaii when tasting the passion fruit and mango in that mix. Make sure to save room after dinner to visit this place. I'm sure glad we did.

TLDR: Frosé? Say no more. Pretty fire ice cream I will def be coming back. OddFellows more liek GoodFellows, I had such a good time here I didn't even take photos of what I got, just straight vibes. s/o to all the staff there esp my boy, (I forgot his name I want to say Kundzi? I'm so sorry) but he knew how to hook it up. Ordered: - Strawberry Peach Frosé 5/5 - Olive Oil Ice cream 5/5 A friend and I were waiting for another friend and so we decided to have dessert before dinner and walked into here. I did a quick Yelp search before entering so I knew they had some pretty interesting flavors but I was still surprised by the selection! Immediately, my homeboy knew I didn't know what to get and suggested the Frosé. Let me just tell you now that the Strawberry Peach Frose was the MVP of the hour. I came in wanting ice cream but he was really selling me on this Frose as he always does apparently (which good call). So I ended up getting what I felt like was a slightly overpriced alcoholic slushie that was about 6 oz. My guy, it was so good. It was worth it and it "hit" the spot. Like it really hit. The flavors were fantastic and was so scrumptious for a hot day. I did in fact have two. Olive Oil Ice Cream: 5/5 An unsung hero! I would've gotten this if I really didn't want the slushie but I also did not bring lactaid so I only had a few bites of my friend but it was delicious. Don't get me wrong it definitely tastes like Olive oil no doubt but the vanilla with it too made it subtle yet present yet not overpowering. One of the other employees said that she even drizzles more on there so if you have some spare olive oil in your bag you can also try that. My friend and I also dipped a scoop of it into our Frose and I swear it tasted like the best creamsicle you could have. COVID: Must have vaccine card to dine in! Vibes: 5/5 The staff were so nice and were bopping with us. It was such a vibe. I'll stop rambling but I will say I had way too good of a time at an Ice Cream shop. I thought everything was worth the price and was delicious. I definitely know where to go if I'm in this area again!

Not worth the hype. They do have some interesting flavors along with a decent selection of vegan flavors but had to wait on ridiculous long line. Only one person scooping. Fine if you can get in and out quickly but not worth the wait.

Got the Brooklyn Blackout which was a chocolate ice cream with chocolate cake chunks. Tasted exactly as described and was very refreshing on a hot summer day. I know this place is really popular but it didn't taste much different from the other ice cream shops in the area and Van Leeuwen has a similar chocolate deluxe flavor that is a million times creamier and yummier. Also one of the servers made us (wo POC) wait outside because we were blocking the bathroom (fair) but allowed a whole family that was white appearing eat their ice cream right outside that same door. She also had a ruder tone with us than other individuals on the line (all white customers). Not sure what the intentions were but either way it still caused a negative impact.

Have you tried ice cream from Odd Fellow before?! If you haven't then you definitely need to give it a try! Went and tried multiple flavors and my favorite was the sprinkles ... yes I like simple flavors

Came here on a hot Saturday afternoon after walking the Brooklyn Bridge. The shop is pretty small and doesn't have as many gourmet flavors as I expected. They had dairy ice cream, vegan ice cream, sorbet, and soft serve. I got the burnt honey and rosemary. I have never tasted anything like it! I cant even described how delicious it was. The flavors just develop more and more as you eat the ice cream. The only critique I have is that some parts were dreamy and creamy and other parts were icy.

Have heard a lot about this ice cream shop, so when I saw it across the street from the Times Out Market, I had to stop by. They have a lot of vegan options! I sampled the Coconut Caramel Chip and the Matcha Latte (generous samples). I ended up choosing the coconut caramel chip because it was very tasty for vegan ice cream. My friend got a peanut butter smores and he said it was really good.

Cute place! This isn't a sit down ice cream place or anything, but it's right next to a few benches where you could sit if it's not crowded during the day (it's right next to a soccer field so it's usually filled with people). Would recommend going with 2-3 friends so you can share the 6 scoop option which is only slightly more expensive than getting two individual one scoops (like two people each getting one scoop of ice cream). I wasn't a fan of their olive oil flavor, or the one with marshmallows, but I LOVED their mixed fruit sorbet. Very light and perfect for a hot day!

I came across the shop while exploring Dumbo with my friend. Upon looking at the menu, I was intrigued by the unique selection of flavors. I love ice cream and trying new flavor combinations to see how well they work, so when I walked past the shop, I knew I had to stop inside. I ordered a small cup of the Matcha Rocky Road because it combines two flavors that I absolutely love into one. It was good but not amazing. The ice cream was thick and creamy, there was a good amount of matcha flavor, and the almonds are thinly sliced inside the ice cream-- not too big but noticeable enough to still added a nice texture contrast. Although I appreciate the unique flavors they offer, and I definitely want to try more, I would have liked for their ice cream to be fresher and homemade in the shop because there were a few ice chips from freezer burn in my ice cream. Overall, OddFellows offers unique ice cream flavors that definitely make it worth visiting; however, I would have liked to see fresh-made ice cream from them, especially for the relatively high price.

Great selection of vegan ice cream! The vegan chocolate cookie was a little on the harder side (but not icy, just hard), but the strawberry Basil lemonade was to die for! Highly highly recommend the strawberry Basil- it was creamy like a sherbet, not icy at all, and just tart and sweet but with wonderful herbal notes. Would get again!

Great ice cream at a great location, plus expanded street tables and chairs to eat at. $6 for 1 scoop but it's prime NYC

Used to have really delicious soft serve but I just got it again today after a long while and it's completely different and not good. It tasted dairy-free. You can get better soft serve from a truck. I added cookie 'soil' for a dollar and its like cookie dust so adds no texture and not worth it. Disappointing. Their regular ice cream is still good though.

Have been here a few times, convenient location next to Time Out Market and the Dumbo waterfront. 2 free samples allowed per person, good luck narrowing down your choices lol. Frequently changing rotation of flavors, had pumpkin spice most recently. Also tried matcha and olive oil strawberry before that, can't recall a bad flavor honestly. Local ice cream made in Brooklyn, very clean and well kept. Must try!

Very good ice cream and amazing customer service. The layout and decor is also very nice. Definitely recommend without a doubt.

I'd been meaning to come to odd fellows for quite some time but each visit did not produce the flavors I was looking for. It seems the most most popular, seasonal flavors are often sold out. But this time I got lucky! They didn't have the summer flavors, but they did have the PB and J ice cream and it was worth the weight! At some point think of a buttery croissant with peanut butter and jelly butter and jelly in the form of ice cream .... that's exactly what it tastes like. With the amazing staff who is helpful and friendly, it's definitely a win. I will definitely be back.

Tried the miso chocolate peanut butter. Its sweet but your brain tells you its savory. It's delicious for a few bites but even the small sized cup becomes too much. The texture is rich and nice but you really just can't eat too much. If you're looking for an actual dessert maybe stick to the more normal flavors.

Poor customer service. We walked in Saturday at noon and the female worker at the cash register didn't even greet us when we walked in, despite us being the only customers. We were obviously a bit confused because we couldn't find the menu and we didn't know how to order, but she couldn't look up from her phone to notice. We noticed that to our left there was a male worker working at the ice cream fridge and we had to ask him how to order. I got a passion fruit pistachio saffron ice cream which tasted nothing like passion fruit and was overpowered by the apricot pieces. It was a bit icy. And expensive. The female worker rang us up and handed us back our card. No "bye" or "thank you" or "enjoy." She picked up her phone and resumed her candy crush game. Overall didn't feel welcome at this location and the workers absolutely did not want to be working there. Bad representation for the company.

My family and I found this across the Time Out NY market so decided to check it out on a hot Summer day. Unfortunately, there's no sampling due to covid. The staff was also very careful with not having too many parties inside the store at once since standing space and seating is limited, which I appreciated. I tried the Thai tea and it was so strong and good! I also had the Matcha passionfruit and the flavor was not bad but because it's Vegan, it's not as creamy so they had to serve on a cup as opposed to the cone and it wasn't as easy to get a full scoop. I also tried the exotic fruits sorbet (mango, guava, etc) and it was not bad but mainly tasted like mango. Overall, the whole family was happy which is the point of ice cream, isn't it?

I came there yesterday with students from a low income school. 30 plus the ice cream was meh and when the kids that were serving kids saw that they had to get busy and work they didn't like it. Never smiled, they all looked like they woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Not pleasant at all. I mentioned the low income school because the price of the ice cream is outrageous. Give it a rest you should offer a student special it cost me $30 to give the students money so they can get one scoop for $7 where are we in Bloomingdales? Way over priced and not that good.
